- When the first Audi SQ5 showed up in 2014, it quickly become the SUV of choice for the family man who refused to give up driving fun when you were forced into a more practical SUV. The latest version replaces its old Supercharged V6 for a new turbo V6, gains a long list of new tech features, all while delivering the typical Audi refinement and quality you've come to expect from the brand. However, the SQ5 is no longer the only choice on the market and competitors from BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, and Porsche are looking to dethrone the SQ5 from its throne.

How is the steering in Sport or Dynamic mode? Is it light or stiff? I really get used to my ES350 and RX350 which are super light.

I am looking for a used one and how do you feel about the fake exhaust and touch pad? I really don't like that about this car but may over look it
Fog lights are actually built into the bottom of the headlamp clusters. They point slightly downward and off to the side. Does a good job
my bro just bought one of these and put an ECU tune with the stage 2 supercharger pully upgrade and it's pulling sub 4 second 0-60's... that engine is pretty sweet

Hi, thanks for the great video. I have a question - I test drove a new SQ5 a few days ago. When pressing the brakes, there was a grunting. The sales representative said that it was normal since it was a performance car. Is that correct?

I'm a mercedes fan and this is my favorite crossover SUV. Second would be XC40. Can't go wrong with the SQ5
You are right, I also find that it is a little sleepy when it put at auto mode. Basically i need push a little hard on gas at auto or comfort mode for acceleration.

How reliable are the air suspension? Can u really feel the difference and if needing to be replace is the air suspensions costly to replace or repair?

Does this or any of the Q5s or option packs give you that interior lighting or ambiant lighting I've seen in BMW? If so which models and what's it called as a feature so I can make sure I get it

I remember when it was just Audi that had this uniquely shaped grill and now every damn car has it. It's annoying but Audi still pulls it off better than anyone else

Drives very truckish I’ve been an Audi owner since 2014 after driving my 2015 Audi A4 for a couple of years I decided to trade it in last month for a black 2018 sq5 I love it it’s s beast and gets so many looks!!

Actually the brake hold is the parking brake. You can engage it when stopped in drive and as soon as you step on the gas it'll disengage.
Do the steering wheel feel the same like the s5?
I'm going to drive one this week, but after few reviews, not sure I'm looking forward to it... even hyudai and mazda cx5 has more soft touch on all the upper areas of the cabin... hmm.. if went up a notch in price point, I'd want the soft touch and lux feel.. and not just the audi badge outside... cup holders look like they'll be blocked if slide the armrest forward, as it looks like it's set too rearward.... the rest looks like it'll be a cool smaller suv

Please review the all new 2018 BMW X3 M40i. I bet you'll have more positive things to say about it then on the SQ5. I know you mentioned you were in a X40i, but that's an old style with the older engine compared to the new X3.
I can’t wait till these are available as CPO for $40K instead of $60K.

One thing I haven't figured out. Every review I've seen puts the 2019 model's hp rating at 354, but it's advertised by Audi at 349.

I can't decide if it's just the camera angle or the fact that I'm watching it instead of actually looking at it in person, but the wheels appear 1 size too large in proportion to the vehicle itself! In addition, I bet a 19inch wheel would ride and handle so much more reasonable for everyday driving. Just me I suppose

I don't think they "got rid" of the fog light. It's merely integrated in the LED headlight. At least it is that way in my S7.

The Q5 even though is Audi's best seller doesn't do 5000 units consistently a month, that's probably its highest peak in the year. It fluctuates a lot, there are months Audi ships 3000 plus and other months with 4,000 plus. Even if we did an average it'll be more towards 4000 than 5000.

Great review. Went here for this specific model review. But could you please keep your hands on the darned steering wheel! Theres nothing more dangerous than flapping your hands about with no steering input in a rapidly moving vehicle.

Thinking about getting one, but kinda stuck between the q5 and the Acura RDX.
Maticalise Music Master the RDX is kind of due for an upgrade, but if it Suits your needs, go for it.
It’s incredibly disappointing that they put fake exhaust finishers on this, especially being a performance crossover. Watch Audi NOT get all the flack that Acura got for removing exposed exhaust pipes.
