I would actually find it cool if the robot could scramble the cube for you, instead of solving it
It would be way more useful because if you're buying the gan robot chances are you already know how to solve a rubik's cube. It just seems useless to me to solve it

There's basically no reason to buy this, UNLESS you wanna automate it and keep it scrambling + solving over and over literally a million times, have it running even when you're asleep, and then at the end you'll have an AMAZING cube because it will have been broken in better than pretty much anyone's cube. That's all it's good for really. But that'd make it a GREAT thing if it could do that. Seriously. It can take years for a cube to be really broken in and the absolute best it can possibly be, just doing it the normal way by scrambling and solving it manually yourself by hand, and by that point newer and better cubes will have already come out. This way, you could get a brand new cube a few weeks before a tournament, have it go through a million solves in those few weeks, and then it'll be in perfect condition for you to use at the tournament. Just think how useful that would be

I started cubing 1Month ago and my average was 8 mins and now my average is 55 secs. Thanks CZcams
My first solve ever without help was 6 minutes but I only used beginner method on the first two layers and I had like 2 OLL/PLL algorithms
My average is 1 minute and 25 seconds and I started about a week ago
My new record is 3 seconds

Try removing all pieces except for centere in scrambled state and give it to the robot.
I don't know if you have done this, but it's cool.. - Disassemble the cube and solve it by only turning the centres on the core and by looking in the app

The reason it’s messed up when the app shows solved is because the cube doesn’t even track the pieces, it tracks how many time the centers move by a gyroscope. There is nothing in the cube that has any tracking of pieces, so when it’s taken apart, you can move the centers and it will scramble on the app.

I am trying to build a cube solving robot that that doesn't rely on a tracked cube via an app. Rather I am trying to use color sensors to actually track the colors and then an algorithm that helps it think about where other pieces will end up. It should be theoretically capable to make it solve a cube forever by moving one piece.

It's a robot, we can fool it, it's easy to fool a robot than fooling a human.
The gan robot may seem cool but if you rotate the top it doesn’t rotate the top it literally takes multiple moves just to rotate the top it could already be solved then you rotate the top and it would just do so many moves just to solve it.

Err... U don't need to rebuild the cube, simple scample it with your Bluetooth off, wait 10min and then connect Bluetooth, again. It will think it's scambled
I think it is so cool how robots can solve Rubik’s cubes... how does it do that?
Easy. It finds the easiest way to solve the scramble you applied to the cube (done by AI), then it does that way and it's done.
Ah yes scramble and take apart the entire cube, put it back in the right spot to let the robot scramble the cube, but what if u switched the center pieces
I have an idea for the GAN robot. What if you scrambled the cube and twisted a corner and made the robot solve the cube? The thumbnail made me think of this idea
Can you fool it by turning the phone's Bluetooth (or whatever the cube/app uses) off, then solving the cube normally, then turning the connection back on?

the funny thing is if cubing encoded then tried to solve it again with the misplaced pieces he would end up with the earlier scramble on the phone.

Because the cube is connected to the phone it just tracks the movements and the robot just reverses them
i might be dumb for saying this but i've thought about it if you scrambled the cube then put it back together without messing up the centers, then make the robot solve it would just "solve it" into how you first scrambled it(please someone test this out).

if you put the cube scrambled back together the gan robot will scramble the cube
The robot is just following the common algorithm, it is not sensing whether it is solved or not

You should try solving it but take out all the pieces and only turn the centres. Look at the screen to figure out what moves you’re doing and stuff

You can just do a U move scramble for the Gan 356 i and same for your cube, and you will always win .
Gan should make an actuall cube scrambler that you don't need to trick to make it work.
The next challenge is to scramble the cube, take off the pieces, put them back in solved state and try to solve the cube in the app.
