  • I'm back in Krakow after one year away. Join me on this walking tour and travel vlog through Stare Podgorze. We will look at the famous St. Joseph's Church (Sanktuarium Świętego Józefa w Krakowie ) and then we will venture up the hill towards Fort Benedict before a trek to Krakus Mound. After checking out a view of the city, I'll take you over to a fragment of the old Jewish ghetto wall and to one of my favorite squares in Krakow.
Let me know what you think and if you have ever done these things or visited these places. Better yet for people new to Krakow, hopefully this video will give you some ideas for your next walk or adventure.

    1. 1:30 min You could go into this forest, maybe you would meet dziki 🤔
    2. The little dragon with the camera is the son of the big one, that's why the big one is breathing fire, he's pissed that the little one ran away to explore the city. He doesn't listen to his father 🤗🤭😅😂
    3. It's hot, the chapel is closed, the cemetery is closed and you're lost in the forest. You're out of luck this day
    4. You're right, scenes from Schindler's List were filmed there.
    5. When you were in San Xavier Mission, Arizona you couldn't walk the hill but all you had to do was eat some pierogi and Polish sausage and you could walk the Krakus mound ✌👌😋

@nonperson22 the dziki in Krakow live on the other side of town, near a different big church. I might venture over there . . . 2. This one did look lost. His son doesn't always breathe fire, at least not at 5 in the morning when I run by... :( 3. This was a bad luck day for sure. 5. At Krakus mound there was nothing that could kill me on the hike save a dog or two. But yes it could be the sausage. Let's see if I keep hiking while I'm here.

During Winter Homeless are protected by the Polish law and local authorities you can't really kick out sb from the apartment, they receive shelter offers etc... etc...

@perkunlitewski so in the summer they can kick them out?

    • @perkunlitewski

@@TravelwithMrJon Yes they can, of course there are some special cases like pregnant women, but I'm not sure how it works exactly

Also the Catholic Church (Caritas) plays a huge role and helps in some cities and towns where the local authorities can't especially in December during Christmas.

In short, they'll survive in the summer, but we can't leave them without help during the cold period.

@perkunlitewski makes sense to me. I was just surprised finding people in bathrooms and on benches. Not
      Like beginning of last summer.

@rafalkamiski7373 so you want Germany content? I'll tell you what, I will be done with my Poland travels in another week. At this point I have hit the majority of the major Polish cities so Germany is a possibility. It might not be until late fall or winter, but it can happen.

@@rafalkamiski7373 Let me get through these two weeks vlogging in Poland first. I got a side trip to Albania and UK that follows. But yes Germany might be fun. I've been to Berlin already.
