There are many historic tenement houses on this street, representing both Art Nouveau and other styles. Poland is Central Europe for ages so why our cities are to look differently? Maybe you had in mind the past days where there were only photos of grey buidfings in Warsaw built in commumist times? It was expained to you the "socialist" building is not a "socialist" at all so I just want to add that it was designed by famous german architect Henrich Rump. The design represented popular in 1930's "modern" style in architecture and referred to architectural ideas of Max Berg (designed Centennial Hall in Wrocław) who was at that time holding a position of Main Architectural Advisor in Wrocław and was fascinated by New York and its skyscrappers. By the way the building itself was very controversial even for germans and they wanted to rebuild it in 1940, lower it and change the roof (steep intead of flat) but you now... war, and it is what it is...

Hi Jonathan, Nice vlog and I enjoy your humor and honesty. However, those old churches look magnificent. I would really enjoy seeing them in person one day. Not exactly the ideal weather for sightseeing and some of the other negatives you mentioned. Nevertheless, Wroclaw is beautiful. One thing that catches my eye, is all the graffiti. It seems the bigger the city in Poland the more graffiti.

From 13 century to 1918 Bielsko /not Biała / was under Czech Kingdom and later Austrian Hapsburg Monarchy. That’s why it reminds Vienna. All architecture is from that period. Biała was in Poland , included to Austria after a first partition of Poland. There’s a significant difference between two towns in architecture. They were connected in one city around 1952,3 or so.

Art-Nouveau... So, you'd probably marvel at Warsaw's Świętokrzyska, Marszałkowska and the capital's other central streets... as they all were before WW2. Now full of boring, soulless 1960s commieblocks that no-one shows or comments on yt. As foreigners from many countries discover Poland, as an attraction Warsaw's centre is falling behind other cities (not only Kraków).
