      Keep your eyes open, I pestered my locals for a few weeks to be certain that I could pick some up on the day that they arrived. Initially there was a slight delay but I was able to get them last week. It's a fairly new product that recently released a couple of weeks ago so they're probably not as wide spread as they'd like them to be, at the moment atleast.

    Side notes that I forgot to mention in the video:
    SLEEVE COUNT : As you might of noticed the Japanese outer sleeves come in packs of 60 (This may impact your decision)
    PRODUCT COST: From what I have seen they roughly cost anywhere between £6 - £8 each (Depending on where you purchase them)
    I am so happy that these sleeves finally exist, thank you to Steve on Facebook for bringing these to my attention! I will be purchasing more of these for all of my decks :D

      Glad to help! I tried inner sleeves once and I personally didn't like them either. Double sleeving was always the goal and the only brand who had good quality oversleeves but were also accessible and reliable was Dragon Shield. I used the Standard Size Clear sleeves for years so I'm super happy that they made dedicated Japanese Sized versions :D

    Does anyone know how much thicker these make the cards? I tried the regular sized ones for my yugioh cards and they worked but they were so thick that they no longer fit in my usual deck boxes so I don’t want to get a bunch or will have to get all new deck boxes (and I already have very many)

    Since it’s been some months now since this review, how has these outer sleeves been treating you for the official Konami sleeves? Has the air properly compressed so it’s less snug? I’m just worried of damaging my nice Konami sleeve if the outer sleeve is too tight that it ends up warping or making ripples in the sleeves or whatever cus the outer sleeves end up pushing the inner sleeve too much cus it’s so snug. Thanks!

    • @GuardianCircleCFV
      @GuardianCircleCFV  Před 2 lety +1

      That's understandable, I'll give you as much detail as possible. I can say for certain that these first two boxes that I bought definitely seem to be more snug than they should be. However as you mentioned, it's been a good amount of time since I got these and I am currently still using them on my Yugioh deck. They definitely feel and look alot better after the air has been compressed out of them more or less fully now, but these ones in particular do have a couple of the inner sleeves with very slight rippling on them, but not that heavy. Very slight.
      Now I say these two boxes in particular because since then, I have bought 8+ more boxes for different decks over time and none of them have this issue at all. Inner sleeves slide in with ease with a good amount of spacing on the sides that doesn't cause any rippling whatsoever. So the initial snugness problem of the outer sleeves seems to have been fixed. If you are still not certain, please buy atleast 1 box and try them. Like I mentioned I've purchase 8+ more boxes of these over time because they are that good.
      Hope this helps 👍

    • @VuongNguyen-gx5st
      @VuongNguyen-gx5st Před rokem

      @@GuardianCircleCFV I recently purchased some of these DS Outer and like your 8 boxes, it slide in well, but somehow I was a little disappointed. I hope it could be more snug like your initial 2s. Also, the sleeves seem to be a bit longer than it should be. The overhang part is really a dust nightmare. I'll give it a solid 8 because DS is DS, probably the thickest and most reliable when it comes to protecting your cards/inner sleeves but the built quality is somehow mediocre. The seams are bad and like having some spare plastic?? I don't know how to explain but just not look as high-quality as I expected. Looking for some Broccoli over sleeves cuz saw an article on Reddit and looks like they fit perfectly, almost no hanging part.

      Good question; I've just tried to put an already oversleeved card into a Standard Size Dragon Shield sleeve, it's a VERY VERY snug fit but it is possible only just.

      @@Roxasofmalice Ahh I see, if that's what you want to do then I would recommend just getting some small sleeves (Vanguard / Yugioh size), then oversleeve with those with the standard size sleeves you got :) These outer sleeves are more so for oversleeving small sized sleeves with more of a perfect fit as shown at the 4:00 mark.

    • @GuardianCircleCFV
      @GuardianCircleCFV  Před 2 lety +3

      Dragon Shield's matte texture is flatter and feels smoother, also the durability of Dragon Shield is unmatched in my opinion. They have a reliable durability that will last a very long time before you think about getting fresh ones. I recall the Epoch sleeves suffering from corner dents and sleeves splitting after a month of use, I've never had that with Dragon Shield.
      Also Dragon Shield is simply just alot more accessible in my area, Epoch are ok at best if you can find them for a cheap price but Dragon Shield is worth every penny 👌

    Hmm these outer sleeves are waaaaay too tight for Yugioh sleeves. Even when using Dragon Shields, you need to push the cards too hard into the sleeve (like in the video) to fit them. Too risky, especially considering that you can easily bend your cards this way. Moreover, taking the cards out is even harder lmao. I assume Dragon Shield isn't selling these anymore for this exact reason.
