    Now planning for Schilthorn trip in August this year. I heard the height up there to the top and at the restaurant, it makes people feel really sick and dizzy in general. How was it for you? Any advice on it so far pls?

      Thanks for the kind words! I was fine with the altitude.. but yes.. ocgirl was a little dizzy and winded up there. But it subsided after she got used to the altitude after 30 mins or so. I'd say just take it easy at first when you get to the top

    You mentioned that the path to Gimmelwald is paved EXCEPT for the last portion. If you stay straight on the paved small road instead of turning left where you did to the gravel path you will get to Gimmelwald. At your turn-off for the gravel path there is a signpost & it has signs for both routes. The person I was with said that we should stay straight & not turn. It is a tad longer but is paved with the same width as the original route and not as steep as your route with also has a lot of steps. So if you have a stroller/pram or wheel chair you can stay straight. Gimmelwald is pretty small. I don't know how it could be Rick's favorite place (although it is beautiful & charming but there is not much there).

    Hello! I plan to take my parents to Switzerland next summer.. and thinking of doing the Schilthorn tour... I have a question about the thrill walk... My parents are 60 and 70.. decent walkers.. not the fastest.. Dad is pretty slow.. but mom can walk.. is the thrill walk okay for seniors? They aren't trekkers..

    • @YellowProductions
      @YellowProductions  Před 4 lety

      I think in the summer when it's not slippery or icy its OK as long as they can navigate stairs reasonably well

    • @YellowProductions

      I think Lucerne is a pretty good base.. it's near Zurich airport so you can fly in and get to Lucerne the same day easily.. here's a video I did on Lucerne: czcams.com/video/ghk9jGGHwig/video.html
      But our favorite spot was definitely Wengen... But if you are flying in and out, I think thatd be tight with 3 days

    What’s the name of the famous bungee jump in the opening scene of Goldeneye? You can bungee down that same area and I believe (would have to verify this). But I think the Amazing Race TV Show went there one year.

    • @tannerwilson4843

      Let me see if I can find the clip of it and post it. I want to see it was filmed in Switzerland and it doubled as a Weapons Facility in the USSR's final days. Also, regarding the Amazing Race. One thing that is becoming quite popular for fans of the show (like myself) is to find some of the famous places and challenges that have been done on the show over the years. For example, if your ever in Maccau, the Maccau Tower's Bungee Jump has exploded in popularity since it was on the show.
