Pistons need to worry about finding a general manager and cleaning up the front office before they decide to make any trades.
I don't understand how they haven't done this already, should've done the interviews before the season ended and hired someone in the first week of the off-season. This is embarrassing
I would love Malik Monk as the back court mate for Cade
I'd do this trade but don't know why Atlanta would do it
Because of Ausar's inclusion.
A lot of people are assuming they’re gonna rebuild I guess
@@PistonsTalk They can't: they don't own their own picks.
@@scottwickett1273 they can rebuild and get new picks? They've been rumored to trade guys like Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, Clint Capella and others they can 100 % rebuild if they want to.
@@PistonsTalk Generally rebuilding means losing lots of games so as to benefit by your pick being high in the draft.
Like, if they trade Trae and pick Sarr they're losing lots of games next year, but not getting another high pick.
I actually think the value is fine on that suggested trade. I just don't like the Murray/Cade fit.
I don't think the Hawks do the trade. Trading down and trading Murray feel like opposite directions.
Ivey and Ausar would fast forward a rebuild. Like what the Raptors did by getting players instead of picks.
@@pheralanpathfinder4897 They can't tank, because they don't own their own picks.
@@pheralanpathfinder4897 The key difference there is that Quickely and Barrett were both already meaningful contributors. Ivey and Ausar, if we're being honest, are not.
That's a hard one. I'm not mad by this trade. It would all depend on what you think of Sarr. But at least value is being given up hear in this trade. So I'd probably do it but it's close.
If it was Duren instead of Ausar, I would be down for it.
Exactly
I down with Ausar, his bloodclot issues can be long lasting, and affect his travels.
Duren got more upside by far
@@Jamar-lg9ob that yet to be determined, he had over 10 ankle injuries in 2yrs. What are the upside of a big with foot, ankle, knee injury history in the NBA
@@Jamar-lg9ob No.
Great vid. Ausar is off limits
Yea his 15 percent 3 pt ball worst ever at the amount he shot is off limits. LOL detroit fans are so clueless man
@@joeshmoe2746 Rodman or Ben Couldn't shoot 3s either. His defensive prowess is daMn near unmatched!
@7miledopeboy they did not play the 3 though did they. And they did not play In the 3 pt era.
I don't care! They better get more shooters to hide is deficiency. His playmaking, Athleticism, and Defense are World Class! The blood clots scare me though
@@7miledopeboy I'm with you man, he's awesome.
It's a no for me. If I'm trading multiple young players then I want someone who is a good or better fit next to Cade in return. Murray is not a good fit next to Cade. Staying at #5 the Pistons could draft Clingan as a rim protector after missing out on Sarr.
To trade any of the young core is dumb.
Just trade the 5th pick. It's not fair to give up on Ivey so soon. I blame Monty for Ivey's issues and also Piston fans act like they never heard of a sophomore slump. The impatients is ridiculous we not improving enough with any of these trades. We need to get some role players old enough to teach the young players but young enough to run with them.
"Not fair"? Fair is a place you get cotton candy.
The pick is worth more to me than Ivey.
Fire coach , sign Gary Trent jr and miles bridges should be first order of business
Couldnt we do the trade and then move dejounte still for a guy who's a better fit?
I like the way you think!
Nah. Ivey will be better than Murray if you give him another year or two.
I'd bet on using 5 to trade down and get Filipowski/Bobi Klintman instead.
This team needs to move Ausar to the bench and add more spacing talent on the starting lineup.
If Monty was a good coach, he wouldn't have benched Ivey, he would have brought Ausar off the bench.
I really don't think Ivey will ever be as good as Murray is now.
And why are you targeting bench randos in the draft.
Ausar >>>>>> Ivey.
Im not giving up ausar Thompson they jusr not playing him right
I would do it 100%.
it's interesting anyway. Not too sure Atlanta would do it.
I'm pretty sure they would not, and if they do it's because of Ausar's inclusion, and he's the one I don't want to trade.
Phenomenal trade if the players in the draft was worth a damn. Ivey can go and Thompson can go too. Don't get me wrong. I like A.T but he's a good peice on a play-in team. Detroit isn't there yet. Never been a Ivey fan. I wanted that player who went to the Pacers.
If they fire Troy, add a future second and do the trade.
Atlanta would never do this.
Neither would Detroit. The 5th pick and 1st pick are very little value.
@@florida1289 Then they shouldn't impact the decision at all, right?
I would be for this but swap Ausar for Duren. I love both of them but I would rather keep Ausar and include Duren if we are getting Sarr. Resign Fontecchio and throw contracts at Monk and Valanciunas.
Murray/Sasser
Cunningham/Monk
Thompson/Fontecchio
Stewart/Fontecchio
Sarr/Valanciunas
Great defense while maintaining star level upside on the roster with Cade, Ausar, and Sarr. This also adds 3 quality veterans in Murray, Monk, and Valanciunas. We address a lot of issues with this trade.
Why would the Hawks want Duren. They would basically be trading Murray for Ivey.
@@pheralanpathfinder4897 Why would they want Ivey?
Lol. You thought thompson was going to start over fontechio.
@@joeshmoe2746 Why do you hate defense so much?
@scottwickett1273 because it's to easy to foul a good defender onto the bench and control the fking game dude. There is no defense in the nba anymore.
i agree!! especially with ivey, ausar assessment ...if your not going to trade for a pure shooting guard then offer that package plus a future 1st for donovan Mitchell....or trade 5th pick for darius garland , better yet get monk IN FAs and it cost you nothing..i know its hard to comment on miles bridges but if you can get bridges ,monk n 5th pick, get rid of front office n coaches ..and eveyone stays healthy i believe we have a really good team next yr
Bridges is a disgusting monster, and anybody who wants him on their team is too.
@@scottwickett1273 LMAO!! scotty , oh scotty always 2nd hand post never have ur own opinions..always cementing/judging behind others original post ..lolol ...dont condone bridges or cam sutton or anyone else but NBA forgave him n their will be teams out there offering him up a fat cantract ...once again their are no saints in the NBA !!! you have to go to church to find them
@@douglasmargitza1210 Who the fuck is Cam Sutton?
@@scottwickett1273 dont no who Cam sutton is wow.... and im paying attention to you and giving you a opinion......peace out
@@douglasmargitza1210 Why would I know who that is? Enlighten me.
Same Old Dysfunctional Pistons!!! 😅🤣 #SODP
Yep, they're screwed because they are the stupidest team out of 30 by a very wide margin at this point.
Why would I give away a premier Defender wing and Jaden Ivey and my Pick. For a First with no star there to select? No thanks!
Murray and SARR
@@Jamar-lg9ob Ausar > Sarr.
Are you just going to leave out getting one of the best defensive guards? That gives you 23, 5 and 6? Ob 36% 3pt shooting
@@Wake-up1776 We got Cade and Sasser. A defender wing is more needed then A guard or a Atlanta pick with no real talented star to grab there. Pass!!
@phil1980boy Murray is a star 23, 5 and 6 isn't enough for you? They still have cap space to sign a wing. They can go get Bridges as well
I would NOT trade Ausar! Noway!! Draft Donovan Clingan instead..👎🏾👎🏾
I would take that trade. Murray and Cade is worth a shot. Only thing we're really giving up is Ausar
Nope... 🙄
Keep 5 take best shooter.or give it to New York we owe them a first rd pick
Why would you give your first round to new york when that deal voids to a 2nd rounder in 2027. New York is never getting that pick why do you want to "give it" to them
Hell yes do it! We would have the 1st and 5th pick plus Murray to replace them. We already know the coach doesn't like Ivey and Monty won't be let go. The game is basketball and Asaur can't put the ball in the basket, probably won't even be in the league in the next 5 years. With the injuries that seem to plague the Pistons, we will need 3 decent big men to make through the season. We draft Sarr at one as our new Power forward and at 5th we draft Clingan to anchor the center position when Duren is not in. Trade Stewart and Wiseman and who ever else to get a star small forward to play along side Cade. Then the Pistons star kickin ass. Sarr is fast enough and a good enough shooter to play 4. 2 Big Lineup.
Asuar going to be in NBA long time
We lose pick 5 and Sarr isn't a fit next to Duren. Stew is way better than you are saying.
No. Just no.
@@pheralanpathfinder4897 Duren would have to be traded, yes.
@@Jamar-lg9ob Makin baskets is how you win in basketball, and he can't do it. He's out in 5 more years.
Heck yes ! All day and everyday
Imma keep saying it, look at the Suns 2015 draft. Pistons need to trade the pick and get Saric.
This trade is a steal for Detroit. Pistons improve their defense, add a veteran leader, and a 36% 3 point shooter. Then they get Sarr, this is a no brainer
You don't like Ausar enough, and you like the Murray/Cade fit too much.
@@scottwickett1273Ausar shot 16% from 3 and has serious health concerns, you like him too much
@@Wake-up1776 I am not willing to speculate on health concerns: if he's never gonna play again then it automatically means you can't trade him anyway, so it's a moot point.
And the Pistons don't improve their defense by trading away their only good perimeter defender, that's just stupid to suggest.
@@scottwickett1273 you don't watch Murray huh? Dudes a lock down defender
@@Wake-up1776 No he's not. He might have been at one point, but he's not now. Ausar is already better, and a lot bigger.
LMAO
I'd do that trade. Ivey and Ausar have high potential but Murray is what we hope they become. Also Sarr is a significant step above pick 5.
Throw a bag at s starting forward, bring in a high quality backup PG and we're fighting for the playoffs.
Trade Duren for Jarret Allen and we have a serious starting group.
Otherwise ee are still solid with Duren until Sarr takes over.
Duren and "solid" do not belong in the same sentence. Starting him guarantees 60+ losses again barring him taking the biggest defensive leap in the history of the sport.
One bad player in the starting lineup still makes the playoffs or at least play in with the middle of the East being so weak.
Detroit is not trading any players. The return would not be good. It's much better that we hope for a leap as they're extremely young.
The 1st pick has little to no trade value vs pick 5. There's a bunch of solid role players which includes Sarr, he's not special.
I say draft Edey at 5. We don't need another 19 y/o so why not draft the most dominant player that's ready out the box. His pick n roll will be unstoppable with Cade
These are all really horrible taeks, especially the Edey one. God DAMN. You are HORRIBLE at this.
Cade dejonte and Alex sarr yessir
This trade would only make sense if Pistons like Sarr and then they would offer Duren and Ivey instead
Why would the Hawks want Duren?
It would be Ivey for Murray straight up
@@pheralanpathfinder4897 Because they will not give you Murray AND the number 1 for Ivey AND the number 5 pick. Murray is a better player than Ivey...
@@pheralanpathfinder4897 Why would the Hawks want Ivey?
And Jalen Duran
Sarr is a Duren replacement, should they get him.
For Cummingham because that would be stupid
Send beef stew out asap
Why? He's the second-best player on the team.
Ivey for Murray leave the picks out
They laugh at you and hang up.
Are you crazy??? Ivey is a career backup if he's lucky
You, sir,..are delusional & tweeking. What a preposterous offer. Everbody thinks they can fleece the Hawks. It's not happening. Atlanta wants little to nothing the Pistons have. Not many other teams do either. Be real.
Understandably. I'm assuming you are a Hawks fan, do you think they are trying to salary-dump Capela?
