The fact that Jon Favreau said that the Mandalorian story plot isn’t even half way over is so exciting! We could be getting as many as 8+ seasons of the show! At even a 1 to 2 year production time, this is going to be one looong story to tell! 😀
@Infinite Possibilities Yeah, Disney has tasked them with creating a story that can bridge the gap of time between Star Wars Episode 6 and 7, which from what I hear was like 30(?) years, I’m going off of memory here, so feel free to correct me if the number of years was different. So they have to show the backstory of everything that lead up to the rise of the First Order in the galaxy, which is going to be a pretty monumental task seeing as we still don’t have much of a backstory for all of it, only some from the various comics and novels that have been released.

If it starts falling off, as far as fan interest goes, they can always wrap the story up quicker if needed. After all, that has been done before for many various shows on streaming platforms.

The wait between 3 and 4 better not be this long. Even with Book of Boba Fet it was a long wait. Though ironically it didn’t feel as bad as the wait between 1 and 2. Probably because we had more Star Wars content to tide us over.

Star Wars is still popular what do you mean? The strong numbers for the Disney+ series collectively speak for themselves. But I agree that this year will be a golden year for our favorite franchise from a galaxy far far away.

It would be fabulous if Sabine appeared, not only because of what would imply a reunion of her with Bo-Katan after everything that happened in Clone Wars and Rebels, but also because Mando needs someone who knows how to use the dark saber correctly to give him some kind of training, Otherwise he'll never be able to wear it properly and will be perennially prone to being challenged for it or losing it in combat with some Imperial like Gideon. We know that the Darksaber is ultimately a Jedi sword anyway, so you need to know or have a certain technique to handle it properly, especially if you are not Force sensitive.

This has been a fun journey, I’ve been watching this since season 1 came out, My dad showed me this series since the season1 because I was a huge fan of Star Wars, and I have seemed to like it. And till this day, I have never forgotten about this series, from start to finish
I love how Filoni/Favreau uses the EU and other existing SW materials in his work, seeing the M3-A "Scyk" Interceptor from Star Wars Galaxies is amazing!
That’s part of the reason why they scrapped the EU/Legends, because now they can use it as a proverbial scrapyard of creative ideas for brand new canon stories 🤓
Filoni, in particular, is a huge fan of the Old Republic comics, so he's been slipping in references in the various Star Wars shows he's been working on for *years*.

The Republic is responsible for making Mandalore uninhabitable by nuking the planet from orbit. Aparently the only way for the Republic to win (The Mandalorian Wars) was to genocide the Mandalorian people.
They are almost all short runtimes due to the costs involved in production. The episodes from season 1 and 2 cost upwards of over $15 MILLION EACH according to the behind the scenes interviews 😮
