    Rita, I feel like your brand is being a Fashion Philosopher. Your input in the category of thinking about fashion is already invaluable!

    This is a wonderful journey Rita! I always thought about myself as a more left person, but now I feel like I am somehow in the middle- I just really want to make a statement with my clothes. I just feel like I need them to help me convey who I really am but sometimes I feel to down to do it. I want to use my clothes to help me build up my energy, lift my spirits up instead of succumbing to depression and having the illness deciding for me what to wear. In the latter case I would never give up my black loose pants and random sweatshirts.

    This was SO helpful and validating. It felt you read my mind when you talked about feeling awkward in blue jeans, I think I will get rid of mine. As well as when you talked about feeling constrained in formal office wear. I like to approach dressing with a sense of playfulness and theatricality, and I feel very validated in accepting and moving into that.

    Omg this is making so much sense. Feeling too much and not enough has always been my core struggle. My style always feels so elevated compared to my peers and I always worried that meant I had a problem like pride or that I was overcompensating. I often wear a lot of pink and feminine type of clothing. People often tell me I seem very "formal" or "reserved" and that always felt weird because I dress that way but I don't feel that way. I feel very girl next door in my heart.

    Every time I start reconsidering being The Priestess (sometimes I think I'm Gentle Grace and am actually R+D), you explain something so thoughtfully that literally makes me laugh out loud at how completely accurate it is for me!

    I really appreciated the too much/not enough feeling, which has been a big issue for me. I like the dress up format! :)

    Wow! Thank you for your thoughtful presentation of the right up woman. I learn by looking at others (life, focus,place in the world) I really love how you world build to help us see clothing and how we present ourselves. So empathetic. Also not ideas usually used in fashion. You are refreshing.

    Great video ! Now I think I'm right down but close to Up ahah always evolving. I definitely related with the thoughts of the Right Up women, but don't see myself in any of the right up clothes. Essence definition still in process ! But very educational thank you !

    I'm Left+Up but I relate so much to the "too much but not enough", I guess it's a general "Up" problem

    • @StyleThoughtsbyRita
      @StyleThoughtsbyRita  Před 2 lety +9

      Definitely! I think the left+up flavor is also something about being "too weird" but also "not unique enough" 😅

    Wow this video is great! It was so cool to see the variety in the RU quadrant. It was interesting as well to think of what I might wear from your examples and how. I identify more with LD and I really loved one of the outfits you chose for Sarah, which was the orange long sleeved square neck top with blue trousers. After thinking about it though I would wear the outfit without the belt and with my vans, not heels, to bring more of that approachable feel.

    Is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley right up?

    • @christinegruber4015
      @christinegruber4015 Před 2 lety

      No I dont think so....When I think of the right up and right down women, I think of Reese Whiterspoon and her beauty and spirit she gives the world. Of course Reese Whiterspoon is a right down women, cause she can dress a little more casual then the right up women. But Rosie Whiteley has not that warmth and inspirational spirit all right women have.

    • @deffkk
      @deffkk Před 2 lety +3

      @@christinegruber4015 I disagree, Rosie looks refined and elegant, so radiant when she wears all white outfits. I don't think she looks her best in mysterious like dresses, ripped jeans and animal prints. She might be right down but you know... she's a model so she'll look good anyway 😅
