  • Some say that Allen Iverson was a better football player in high school. If it wasn't for his time in prison, would AI have been a hall of fame football player?

Vick is Vick. Iverson is Iverson. To say Iverson was the first Vick is lazy and disrespectful to both of them. Just make an Iverson football highlight video next time, and leave Vick out of it because neither one of them was the first quarterback who could run well.

If he went to ND he would’ve been a better version Tony Rice, better statistics and accolades (would probably win the Heisman). However, I think the NFL wouldn’t have shown him love.

It's weird, because when I was a kid it felt like A.I. and Mike Vick were almost the same person just playing two different sports, and then it really blew my mind finding out years later that A.I. played football too and that they were from the same exact place, it convinced me that these two men were reincarnations of each other.

This is a fascinating topic. Like what was said in this video Iverson's athleticism was unworldly. Point being how does a 6ft 160lb guy become one of the most dominant scorers and players in NBA history. If he went the path of baseball or track, he probably could've been a great pro at those sports if he had a passion for it.
But I've seen other reports that he was enamored with Notre Dame and FSU arguably the 2 top programs in that era to play QB and feature him in a way to be a Heisman winner a la Charlie Ward. I am not sure if he would've been Vick before Vick because Vick's arm strength and bulk made him a better fit as a QB but maybe like Antoine Randle El who was a great college QB and similar build he could've learned WR on the fly in the NFL and been a swiss army knife type of weapon and a natural and devastating returner as well. And with respect to Randle El, Iverson's athleticism is next level and he probably takes that role and becomes a HOFer. I think the Deion comparison is valid as well, and if he moved to CB in college a hall of fame career was probably inevitable. Hes probably a 4.3 40 guy with a 40 inch vert, long arms, toughness and competitiveness to match the athleticism. Iverson was a true gift to sports fans.

Plus one injury in college or NFL there goes the meal ticket and could literally lose his career off a hugs line or linebacker or safety. He also made so much more money playing basketball then football he would've never have his own shoe and make huge money off that. Even though he to file bankruptcy n week a good sponsor agent or friend knew his spending Habits from a kid the ghetto That had nothing to now can buy everything. Put 50 to 100 million to the side for That he can't touch til his 50 that way his more mature and wiser. So that lock up a young kid w no bail and miss his final seasons was bullshit but it was also god sent as well. Why r u using all caps. And if he was heavier he would of likely lost all the things that made him special- his speed and agility. Football players are built different, they have to maintain their muscle while keeping high speed. You cant just assume iverson would of done that. Also, his pass catching skills were by no means proven and there is little to no chance he plays QB.

JT b,WELCOME TO HIGH DEFINITION TEXTING WHERE EXCLAMATION POINTS ILLUSTRATE ANGER AND EXCITEMENT. HIS PHYSIQUE IS AN EASY FIX. BARRING EXTENSIVE POLISHING,I SEE A UTILITY PLAYER WHO COULD BE A DEVASTATING OPTION QUARTERBACK IN COLLEGE,BUT NOT A DROP BACK PASSER. HIS PHYSIQUE IS AN EASY FIX.

He wouldn't have done well because he has a problem with practice. Football does 3 per day.
