In Ohio where I reside, if a team wins a State Championship at their respected division, the Ohio High School Athletic Association would consider moving them up to the next higher division the following season. Teams that flounder after the move up would then be considered to move back down a division. Additionally, teams that repeatedly dominate their conference typically move to a more challenging one. These moves create a bigger challenge for a dominant team and the players wouldn't "run out of steam" before the playoffs. Seems to work here.

I played at Redlands high school, in 96-97 years, I know a long time ago, and we were good, we lost to Mater dei in the playoffs and it wasn’t too badly. We scrimmaged vs Redlands university a couple of times, although it was helmets and not full pads, we outperformed them is skill, and a couple of those guys admitted we would probably mop the floor with them in a real game, doesn’t prove it, but seeing it first hand, we were playoff contenders, also, Redlands U won their championship that year, I actually remembered while typing this. Imo it is highly possible

The panthers didn’t put people around him after the great season cus players left to get paid and he was in a bad situation with the patriots cam is still top 10 QB if he played today. Brett Farve didn’t have a good season with the jets but they didn’t give up on him he went to the Vikings and balled out. Some places don’t work for the player and I believe that was him with the patriots.

If he had gone to any FBS college other than North Carolina, he would have been a QB in the NFL, and one of the all-time NFL great QB's. He had 4 different offensive coordinators at UNC. UNC took his football career in reverse. It's a tribute to his natural born skills that he was able to make himself a better-than-average NFL wide receiver. The reason that athletes don't play two sports, or more, in college has nothing to do with sports: it's because coaches use up so much of the athlete's time, that there's no time to study, even if you take the easiest major, when you're playing two sports in college. If college coaches were paid to get the most academically out of their recruits, someone like Ronald Curry could have played in the NBA and the NFL, like Florida State's Charlie Ward did.
