Yes I use to be a dairy farmer, waking up at 3.30am isn't so bad you get use to it, but that time of the morning when it's just you and your fur family milking and feeding them, then you go feeding the little ones make sure every one is fine, clean the yards out, go home about 8.00ish have breakfast, then carry on with what ever needs doing, it's fun I loved it, alot of people asked me if it was too much for me, the answer is no I loved my girls and my job farm life is so rewarding and can be very relaxing.
Anita from the UK 🇬🇧
I'm going to wear my Sonne Farms shirt when I meet the AC repairman over at the condo complex on Monday. When all the women ask about it I'll tell them to check it out because Scott Eastwood's stunt double is the star of the show along with his dad. 😉
You guys enjoy the rest of your weekend !
“Red isn’t so bad” 😂😂 I’m a dairy farmer with some case tractors haha! Thanks for that shout out man and sweet video!!
Thanks Buddy!
we have been running red since they started making the white and orange 3 generations worth but now along with red we have 6 kubotas .They do all the haying, fertilizing and moving the bales around they work great. They are great on hills and rough ground we are in middle Tennesee so its steep in places
@@SonneFarms but im with you on the dairy yall can keep it i will stick to red angus and balancer beef cows, feed, seed and hay
i know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account?
I somehow forgot my password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
Cole you have got one heck of a good dad. Mr. Sonne it's always ready to have a nice time with you I hope you enjoy them. Be proud you got such a good dad I didn't have
thankyou
Hey Cole,Brian, and Ellie.I always enjoy seeing what`s happening on Sonne Farms.
I was just wondering if Ellie has her own little doggy bathroom in the garage complete with shower ?
She always looks so fresh in the morning and then the next thing you know she is covered in mud and whatever.
I hear ya on the rats! I was actually bit by a rat trying to get it out of a grain wagon years ago. We were in the middle of peanut season and my mom freaked out and made me go to the doctor fearing I had rabies. No rabies, just a small scar.
Hi Brian, cole nice of you to acknowledge dairy farmers and how hard they work I was a third generation dairy farmer. Three years ago we stopped milking and now run beef
How can these be 17 minutes long??? They go by SO FAST when u watch them!!!!!!!
Brian is a natural vlogger! Teaching an old dog new tricks
thanks cole is better
#16:31 A classical Sonne farms "that's what she said" ... 😂
Great video 👍😊👍
In a way this is "quality American cinema"
Thank you!
Definitely I love the perspective the Sonne's give..
Hey cole that was was another good vedio your dad did a good job with the doing that part of the vedio about the feeder y’all got today I say it’s gets boarding spreading if I had to choose between milking cows 🐄 or case ih equipment I would choose the case ih equipment hope y’all are no getting any storms or anything with what they are getting way down in the south tell all your family I said hi 👋 and ask about them y’all stay safe and tell your dad he did a good job 👍 I like your impression you was doing you did good job 👍 of it you stay safe and your family tell them I asked about them tell your mom she is going to have to get some video time and let everybody know how her garden did you stay cool 😎 Cole looking forward to the next video talk to you then 🤙
Broken record here, I used to spread sludge (human waste) on fields from the municipal sanitary districts. Enjoy your poo Cole. It has a consistent smell. When you bounce form sanitary district to sanitary district the poo changes. Liquid to dry, chunky to runny, overwhelming to subdued (odor). I would come home and my wife would ask how my lunch was. I'd tell her she'd have to wait for me to spread it. Cheers gents. God Bless.
Are you divorced or still together? Also how many cans of deodorant did you go through in a year?
Still married. I never counted deodorant purchases.
We sold our dairy cows in 2013, dont miss it one bit. My brothers and i would get up at 3.30-4 am to get milking mostly done before having to go to school
Brian, you need to upgrade the pliers to a multi tool. I started wearing one in the army and it carried over to when I started farming. It’s great having more than just a pliers to choose from.
I personally like the longer videos. I know alot of people have low attention spans but the longer the better for me. I could literally watch an hour video everyday from Cole & Sonne Farms. "Do it" lol
Being a dairy farmer is like being married twice...... when one wife dont want you the other one does! Thanks for the videos! Ron
Ah! Now I know what a hay hiker is! The machine hikes bales onto the wagon! Cool!
Odd that Cole mentioned "Sask Dutch Kid" as he also was hauling manure in this mornings vlog; but he had to utilize a manure boat which was a neat machine.
I think he said "Starsky and Hutch" (as in the old tv show) not "Sask Dutch Kid". But it was odd that they both posted on the same day doing the same thing.
Michael McBride he did mention sask Dutch kid.when he was in the tractor with his dad. Asking if his dad would want to be a dairy farmer
Got my Saturday morning Sonne Farms fix, thanks again for your great content!
Thanks Robert!
Thanks for posting.
Good sruff all around.
Nice to see how your farm recovered from the 2015 tornado.
I can smell that manure!! Great stuff for the soil.
Yup, was a dairy farmer back in Scotland till we moved here n didn't want to milk anymore, we milked 3 times a day, 5am, 1pm and 9pm. and thats why i have beef n grain.
for sure
Awesome Video and Much LOVE as Always 🌞 Farms!!!
Great video guys. Thank you!
I work at the place that supplies apache manufacturing with all the steel that they use to make the creep feeders, its only 2 blocks away haha...... small world, great video!
They ship all over!
It was just cool to see it on CZcams
I would love this kind of work. Getting stuff done.
Love your drone shots. Just watching the operation and that music is super satisfying. Even if it is just hauling manure.
I feel your pain guys. I work on a horse farm. I spend days at a time spreading manure. No fun for sure. Cheers. Great videos like always!!
Yay Saturday sonne fix hope your all well 😁
Very awesome job . And a great video TY for sharing
Love you guys. You make my day.
You guys are such an inspiration I am 15 years old and live on a farm in South Africa and you guys have made me want to be a cattle farmer in america and I have now moved to an agricultural school
follow your dream!
Look forward to seeing your calves getting in to the calve creep. It will make them grow more. Great video
Awesome guys!!
Yet another great video, poop & all!! I watched the video showing the aftermath from the tornado, WOWZERS!! Living in the Midwest, tornado sirens become second nature, but the wrath of said twisters never cease to amaze & frighten me!
Brian did a good job with the camera! About rats.... All I raise these days, is ducks. About two years ago, I started seeing rat turds in the big duck yard, so come nightfall, I put the quackers away and set a big rat trap under the feeder. Next morning, the trap was sprung, bait was gone, and something had drug it halfway across the yard. A few drops of blood were on the trap. I knew right then that what we had here was a really BIG rat. I set the trap a few more times, but got nothing. One morning about 7am, I look out the window and saw the nasty bast*rd. That sucker was the rat from hell and nearly as big as one of my ducks. This guy wasn't gonna' be caught in any standard rat trap. .22 bullets are cheap, so for a couple of mornings, I got up early and sat realllll quiet out on the back porch about 40 yards from the pen. Sure enough, that guy showed up on schedule, and I have a picture of it layed out next to a yardstick. 15" from nose to butt with a 13" tail. Big enough that he could have killed one of the quackers. I hate those things.
That’s some rat 🐀!
You rock.
Brian Sonne I’m glad that I could give you a good laugh 😂 I’m an old busy from way back, a dry sense of humour runs in my blood 🩸
Boone and Crockett recorded Rat
Creep seems to benefit my cows also. Especially drought years like this year here in nw Iowa. If calf’s belly is full of creep they tend to not draw the cow down so bad.
So addicted to this channel!!!
Drone footage is awesome!
Cheers...🇨🇦
Thanks again. Great video. I know you hate it, but its just part of the job. I know when I was building houses for 30+ years, I despise to put black paper on the roof. Couldn't wait to get that job done. Thanks for the video. 👍👍👍👍
Very nice video, thank you.
Hey cole. I read a study and they had 2 pastures with the same kind of cows and calves and bulls and one pasture had an Oiler and one didn’t and the calves coming off in the fall with the Oiler were 70 pounds heavier on average. We had a bad year with flys and our cows so next year we are putting up oilers to try and keep that down. They cows were just hiding in the woods and would go eat because the flys were so bad
Noticed dads hat - Wyffels Hybrids.....hmmm spent a few summers detasseling corn for them as a youngster. That is anyone's least favorite job.
Hey Cole, when I was doing pest control awhile back, co worker came to help out on a restaurant, we were sitting on the floor getting under cabinets and a rat jumped out, ran up his pants leg and to his crotch! Let me tell you, he was jumping and dancing around like you wouldn't believe to get his pants off!! I was dying laughing! I'll never forget that!
Love all the videos
Great drone shots as always! It looked like a dark cloud of manure following the spreader and it reminded me of Pigpen from the Peanuts cartoons with a cloud of stank following him everywhere.
Picking up ****move it here an there repeat sounds like trucking lol yall got the job done that's what counts have a day love from TEXAS
It’s always worth it to see the ending!!!!
Good video well done you both
The old Dairy Farmer I knew had three gorgeous daughters, so I guess he wasn't always too tired. 😏😉
I always liked hauling manure, although we only had 2wd tractors and they were old to boot so spring spreading could be a challenge but with nice tractors like you guys have I imagine it would beat the he'll out of what we used to do
Good video Cole and Brian the lot looking nice 👍🇺🇸 I cut open a few persimmon seeds a it's a spoon shape in side so they say spoon mean shoveling snow this winter or in my case a rainy winter . Yal stay safe !!
Daniel from central Mississippi
You’re having way too much fun!
That’s what Robots are used in Dairy now. You can milk and limit a lot of things
Awesome hat Brian
nice farm, nice vids, good work guys
Ours took awhile to warm up to the oiler. Now they seek it out, I swear they know it helps with flys.
Beautiful music choice. All good stuff. Keep it up.
Brian did a great job as cameraman!
thanks guys
gnz
I was surprised when you mentioned SaskDutch Kid. His channel and your channel are my favorites. Good job on the video and thanks for posting.
yes I enjoyed the video....always do
Brian and Cole awesome video funny at times yes. Brian congrats on taking on the camera on by yourself. Time for Cole to drag the yard:) Tx guys.
hi guys we have wet wipes here in the UK dont know what you may call them in the US but mums use them on their babys maybe get a few packs and put them in the trackers so when you get poo or something on you just use them KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
i did clean out cattle shed with a farmhand long ago
Cole from experience with creep feeders. The first week or ten days they will eat a lot but then they settle down will come by and eat small amounts several times a day. Mine after about two weeks were eating less than when I was trying to regulate them.
Great video its job we all gotta do that's why we use bigger 14t capacity spreaders so we try look good while we go lol
Jans the man 💪🏻
The all important call so important hahaha heck yea
First time watcher. Love the dad. Luca
Glad you enjoyed!
Your drone shots make for a beautiful video
Brian, you done a good job videoing. I see in the future you doing the videoing and Cole doing more of the work. What do you think?
New to the Channel, I like it keep the hard work
Great vid!!.. I think hauling manure is everyone least favourite job..but Cole u made it look fun😅😅
0:26 - 0:27 actually had to go back to watch again after your explanation
Pellet gun Cole. Night scope. Great fun.
I REALLY like the drone footage.
Glad to hear it :)
Cows are like, I just poo’d that, what are ya bringing it back for? Lol
You two should have a TV show
I wouldnt do well with a script.
And that's why Grandpa tucked his pants into his boots! 👍
That's why Cole tucks his pants in boots!
Brian, I was one of the guys that used twine to keep rats from going up my legs. I shoveled ear corn for a number of farmers who shelled then, every summer during high school. Never liked rats to start with.
Thanks to 10:56 Apache Creep Feeders from Nebraska for supportin my favorite farmer CZcamsr 👍
Cole, if you keep giving segments of your videos to Brian you’ll be giving away that tractor in no time 😉
...GOOD ONE, KEEP CLEAN AND SAFE...
Dakota Gold needs to spring for a Chevy 2500. That 1500 was squatting pretty low with that one bag of pellets.
Had one do that once on a shelling job not a great feeling
cole skid steer are 4 wheel drive right just though i would check . have a good one .
I've got that same Wyfells camo hat this year. And also a thermometer and a pen. I guess that's all you get for spending lots of money on seed. I think manure smells like money if you think about it. Thats why I fling poo in the house too...😂. The ending of the video reminds me how all us feel during harvest season!
We just walked through some 2506 Wyfells a few minutes ago. It looks great!
@@briansonne814 we planted lotta 6869 or 6968 and couple others. We got one 40 acre field that got flooded after planting but all the others looking good too. Glad yours is to!
Can you explain what dad meant by making the calves to fleshy on cross bred And keeping pure breed separate. Or general overview of your cattle. Operation. What makes pure breed What feed them
If I understood you right you calf in the winter. Why not the spring? I'm not judging I'm just curious. Keep presenting your channel the way you do and it will grow.
I nominate Brian for Farmer father of the year. Not that many cool dad's like him.
wow i will start writing my speech
I think you and Dad must have been watching too many episodes of Red Skeleton But your gettin there LOL Great video guys.
Guy think u for another great video I think both of you'll job require a lot of work think u for all the work you'll do I no it haves to be stress full think u
That is incredible amounts of poo work that you do on the farm thanks for your service!
Everything about this video was great!! Dad: oh now you want to know the plan 😄 Cole: I need to make an important call yes 2 cheeseburgers 🍔 😂 I’m in the Great Lake State but I have to say I could live in SD the most beautiful sky ever every video they are gorgeous 🙋♀️💗
Make cole get down there and show the little ones how it’s done !
That feeder pretty sweat 😓 Is that going to be the nest purchase? Awesome Drone footage! Catchya at the next one. Be safe!!
Nise work bro
