  • The low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) program is one of the federal government’s primary policy tools for encouraging the development and rehabilitation of affordable rental housing. While the LIHTC Program can seem complex; the program is being effectively utilized by numerous housing and community development agencies to increase affordable housing options available in their local communities. This webinar explains the rules and regulations required to establish and maintain compliance at an LIHTC project.

I was also told that I couldn’t do a month to month or 3 month lease term by this new property manager, but for the past 13 years other managers offered those options...

I live in a tax credited building in Dover Delaware owned by Milford Housing Development co.in Milford Delaware. I have had my personal medical information told to other tenants by the manager. I have had managers come in my apartment without a 24 hour notice. I have paint spilt on my clothes and was laugh at by the manager and maintenance man when I compliant.I have had a manager come in my just after I got dressed.

When I moved in to my unit, I was the first person ever to live in the unit and I was originally moved in at the 40% range, but a few years later we got a new manager and bumped my unit to the 50% range so the additional family that she brought with her could live in a 40% range... is that even legal? I’m the only person who has lived in this unit. I have soooo many questions!!!

I thought every year HUD has to inspect the files to see if they are in compliance with federal guidelines.

Well if you Google the low-income housing tax credit says right there the HUD handbook for them and the compliance anytime you deal with the federal government you have to follow some kind of compliance they think that they can get away with it and they do because now the federal government leaves it up to the state to be police patrol and I believe the state is either getting a kickback or something cuz they're always sticking up for the business person and and the taxpayers are the ones that have to suffer especially the disabled the elderly the veterans and our children they have no compassion at all and they don't care to throw onto the streets and let them live in their cars. And then they go on and on the news the governor of whoever and they broadcast how well they're Helping Seniors and disabled people they ain't doing diddly-squat because if they really know what's going on the federal government or whoever that goes in and handles all the complaints they will see how they can get rid of a person and they talk about safe housing permanent housing safe housing we're not safe at all. They take our tax dollars they spend it foolishly and we don't see a dime of our own money that we put in invested our governor is trying to squeeze over 10 million or so in his budget plan I said oh hell no you took billions of dollars over the pandemic you didn't spend a damn dime on anybody that needed it he hovered the mother money and now he wants more for education and then the state employees the same toys ain't getting another damn dime they don't deserve a raise they don't deserve nothing until they know the federal laws then maybe but right now I wouldn't give them another Penny cuz they're making out like Bandits and they're denying the people that are in need because they don't even have a clue what the differences between SSI and SSDI. The American citizens need to start stepping up and voicing their opinion and telling them right where they can go and stop taking our money and we need to stop paying our taxes and see how they like it they want to raise they don't deserve a raise

  • @jacquelinejackiedamphier9915

Why is HUD allowing these LIHTC providers get away with discriminating and retaliating against disabled seniors and decide not to renew your lease without good reason and be ib compliance against HUD HANDBOOK

Well you can Google it and it will stay in 0 low income housing tax credit HUD handbook. Then I feel it's not right that the state takes their side and we get left out when these programs are supposed to be helping us the disabled seniors, the elderly the low-income families and our veterans they make it seem so good that they're really helping and putting affordable housing do you mean priority list but they're not doing anything to solve the problem and then we look down upon because we collect Social Security. But they don't realize that when you work and you paying your taxes and you are entitled to receive SSDI because you worked so many years and has so many credits built up we're not supposed to be denied anyting any programs because we bought and paid for these programs and a lot of mistakes don't get it and don't understand the difference between SSI and SSDI. And this is what aggravates the hell out of me that they're taking advantage of us and we're being mistreated and merely it's inhumane how we are pushed out on the street living in our vehicles because there's nowhere for us to go and they don't care if they don't want to give you a voucher for a hotel they don't want to help you find a place to live which it should be their job helping the disabled because this is their job that they're getting paid to do and they're lazy but yet they're still working from home but yet they're trying to push the disabled people out to work but you didn't want to give us nothing they have denied my son and myself benefits and assistance for over 13 years it my son was diagnosed at Birth with a neuromuscular disease and he's been in a wheelchair since he was five years old and got nothing from the state of Tennessee that's all they do is they take from innocent people and Tennessee don't want to give to the ones that are in need that we're entitled to and I hope they get caught. But I will never again vote for anyone I had enough with the government and politicians that get into office and then decide not to do a damn thing to help anyone else but themselves
