How to do this exercise:
Lie down on your bed or the floor, or sit back in a comfortable chair, this exercise is best on an empty stomach, have a sip of water and take some gentle breaths first through the nose to warm up.
This exercise is best done when breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.
The breath noises are just an anchor and guide, go at your own pace and don’t push yourself too much.
To get the most from this type of breathing, ensure that the other 99.00% of your time during your day you are nasal (nose) breathing - even during physical exercise.
After this exercise, take enough time with nasal breathing to relax and get back to a calm level.

Thank you times infinity. Not that I don’t enjoy being yelled at by a crazy Dutchman (all the love), but you’ve provided such a blissful alternative.
Thanks so much for the feedback
Stop. Just stop.
I do both and they are different experiences I love both of them.
This exercise is excellent for grounding yourself in times of stress. Thank you so much
If you`re always coming back to do this exercise, just click here: 1:36 and you will save the intro.
I appreciate the direction to breathe thru the nose
I do this RELIGIOUSLY at work. Im a diesel technician. The stress and noise can overwhelm at times. THIS HELPS. Thank you
I did a parasite cleanse diet for 5 weeks and it has helped my anxiety alot. I l earneed that parasites can cause anxiety and are alot more common than we think
People wonder why they have a sore throat after breathing in through the mouth?! Nose breathing is so important.
Cant help when sleep....how?
Although I respect Wim Hof greatly and do cold showers often, I find his breathing method doesn't suit me, it's very anxiety-provoking in my body.
But this is virtually doing the same thing but in a gentler way - been doing this for a while and after emptying my lungs, managed 2-3 mins simply not breathing. Bizarre. Feels almost out-of-body!! Gives me a sense of homeostasis. Thank you so much for this.
I can't believe.
In the last round I could hold for 90 second.
It's the first time in my life holding breath for so long.
I will end up ticking most of our comments; I too find this exercise brilliant and start my day and end my day with it.
Thanks Philip Luxembourg
I am a physical therapist that has been personally doing Wim Hof Method breathing for a year and a half. It has truly helped my lupus but I don’t do it exactly the way Wim does because there are more physiological benefits with nose breathing. This is a very good video that I will share with my patients that are able to do this kind of breath work. Again, this retention phase does increase blood pressure so talk to your doctor before starting this kind of breath work. It is contra-indicated if you’ve had a stroke, heart attack or epilepsy. These techniques are precautionary if you have high blood pressure. Talk to your healthcare provider before initiating a program like this.
What’s different between Wim Hof method and the way you’ve been doong it?
Litterly by round 4 I could hold my breathe to 90 seconds. Every round... My body just agreed on it. The mouth thing never worked for me ever. Blessings and love 2021!
I’m always able to feel relief in my joints doing breath exercises, even moreso with only nose breathing.
🙏🏼
Best channel on CZcams fact.
wow, thank you so much
Just giving my honest opinion this channel part of life now doing the different exercises part of my daily routine,I do fair bit of running and am slowly able to nose breath further it's quite a challenge feel like not getting enough oxygen on board at start.
This breathing exercise is amazing. I found it a few weeks ago. I do it in the morning and feel awake and alive. I do this after work in the restaurant industry and I don't feel the stress. I do this before reading and rehearsing and I am more focused and creative. I love it. Thank you.
Wonderful!
I did this one tonight. I felt like I really settled into it. The first round felt like some effort, finding the rhythm, breathing deep enough, the long hold being too long for me, and then it all just started to flow and kept on doing so. I haven't done this breathing rythm before. I don't think it would translate well to exhaling through the mouth. Thank you for making it. Breathwork is very interesting, though I try to remember the main message from one of my meditation teachers--learning is great, but the point is to meditate, not accumulate techniques and theories.
This is the best excellent exercise for optimal health.
Still one of my favorite breathing sets on CZcams. Great number of breaths, great hold times, effective music. Thank you again.
Glad you enjoy it!
I follow your channel .. do your exercises and do Wim Hof ... I cannot hold my breath for long at all. Why is that and why cant i improve it ?
This is a life saver.
Why do so?
Thank you, so much, for this. I am so glad to have found this and I thank you for your effort. Much love.
I have been doing the two round nose breathing deep breaths every evening for months, and now just found the four rounds version! I am so happy 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Your help and care in this breath work is priceless, thank you 😊
Loved the 2 round version, can't wait to try this one
I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate this after continued daily practice. While during the hold I do some relaxation/ mindfulness combo. I've been using WHM for the best part of a year but this is the best results I've had so far. Thank you.
Best one so far! Just what I needed, part two should be with a slight progression. Make it a series :-)
On it!
I just love this!!! Your voice emotes kindness and peacefulness along with the music, a bathing of goodness. Thank you so much🫶
Thanks for uploading more guided breathing videos. I watch these every night before bed to help with my sinusitis. Having new videos to listen to makes it more interesting.
Glad you like them!
It would be nice to not have the speaking after the first 5 breaths. And increasingly longer holds and number of breaths. Thank you for this channel been using it occasionally for over a Year
Once again 🧡my deepest gratitude and then the heavenly way you help to support my own life Mae whoever and whatever you need to support yours be yours in full thank you so so much this is now added to my collection of you for my daily love and benefits✨✨✨✨✨✨♥️⭐️🌙🪐

Amazing!
Thank you so much!
I’m really really enjoying this video!
Makes me feel 💯% better !
Once again thanks for doing this! 🙏
Thank you for sharing this. I feel calm and in tune with myself. I am very grateful for this content.
You are so welcome
Thank you 🙏50 breaths and 2-2 1/2 minute holds would be amazing!
I'm loving this method. It will be my "go to" for some time. Thank you 🌹
Thank you - really helping getting my disordered breathing and anxiety back in sync 👍
I've been wondering why the WHM doesn't take in air through the nose and out through the nose especially when there is new studies suggesting that you can deliver more oxygen throughout the body through nasal breathing. however when you do this approach, holding your breathe is much harder than wims approach, 2 to 2:30 mins holds. either way fascinating stuff. and whatever approach may be best, we're all in the right passage ;)
I love that you guide us thru the exercise it's very reassuring. I did the entire exercise I feel great and relaxed.
Love this ! Tried Wim Hof but my heart rate went all over town it scared me! I didn’t get that with yours maybe your calming voice and your rhythm, so thank you ! ...may I ask where can I can find this music
I do Wim Hof it gives you a different experience I do this one every other day because it totally different .
I find this one gets more air into your upper part of your lungs both are amazing.
I love your final comments such a nice tone. I feel a sense of satisfaction and so relaxed. TY
Spot oM,I really love this channel.Love Peace and Light to all
Amazingggggggggg, great help to human bieing ,thanks a lot
So nice of you
I tested with the DailybeatHRV iOS app while doing your breath work and within one minute the app stress gauge went to Blue (Good) and the real time HRV went up to the Green zone it proves that this method reduces stress and raises HRV. Thank you so much
Thanks for sharing, thats great info :-)
Thank you so much 💝🌟
Excellent, thank you! I'll be coming back to this for sure. I also appreciate that the music goes on playing after the end of the breathing exercise allowing you to enjoy the relaxation.
That was a wonderful relaxing breath so appreciate it we’ll do it every day
Thank you so much, this is absolutely wonderful. Deep appreciation!
I had this breathing exercise when I got up and then go to take a shower, first was warm then slowly to cold.... Best feeling afterwards, will do this breathing and cold shower every morning, hope I'll go straight to cold water soon 🤣👍🙏
Thank you so much for this..,The WHM is a bit to aggressive for me.,this is much more relaxing and I’m so thankful that you’ve added more rounds this time.Keep up the great work !!

This was absolutely beautiful..! I have been doing Soma breathwork for over a year now but this take on it was an amazing alternative. Beautiful music to accompany the session..keep up the good work!❤🧡💛💚💙💜💫
Thank you for guiding us through this breath work. You have great voice and it’s easy to follow!
You are so welcome!
Thanks bud, this was good
Great Thank you
Thank you too!
Great. Thank You.
You are welcome!
This recently became my fav video for breathing meditation. I usually exhale through the mouse coz it feels... Nicer? Otherwise my nose gets too cold (?) Also, i have a question: when I breath out, i can hold my breath more properly and longer if i DON'T breathe out until my lungs are completely empty. Also, if i breathe out completely, i feel nervous. Is it a matter of training myself to leave the lungs empty or is it ok to breathe out and hold just little air??? Thanks for sharing so useful stuff. I'll check the rest of the videos too!
Love this one. Why on the 2 round one don't you note there is a 4 round one?
Does anyone get emotional release with this method? Thanks
Hey guys- thanks for this video- your videos have been a godsend in these crazy crazy times that we are all undergoing. I was wondering though if the volume of the background music can be turned up a bit during the exhale retention- this is to help to cut out any spurious ambient noises.
cheers and all the best.
Thanks for all the feedback
Out of curiosity , what are your spurious, ambient noises? I have kookaburras and magpies which I love. Also love this music 🙂
Haha Elizabeth- I currently live in large city with all the hustle and bustle that goes with it- there are birds in the trees near my abode but a far cry from the kookaburras and magpies- believe or not I am actually surrounded by crows.
I also love the music for this breathwork routine but I find that I need to turn the volume up manually when there is no talking by Mike as those nasty crows have no common sense :)
Thanks for uploading a longer version of the previous one, will try it out later today.
I love this one! My favorite from your channel so far. Thanks so much 🤩🙏🏼❤️
You are so welcome!
I am doing your breathing exercises every day and sometimes two times a day, amazing feeling great !!!!!
Wonderful!
Anybody able to hold their breath to 90?
Great stuff ....how many times a day....best time to.do this
I am hypertensive generally my bp stay 160/85. Is this exercise good for me?
Very similar to wim Hoff method. Tried this few times just can't seem to hold breath as long. The two in four out doesn't initially feel I'm retaining as much oxygen. Wims method seems it may be better for say, expanding breath holds whilst diving or submerging in water. I've slight high blood pressure so holding breath for say up to a min may be all I really need for my hold "fix" either way still get some benefits....last few months I've never breathed as much. Lol
Good before sleeping?
Thank you so much! I've been doing Wim Hof breathing and I LOVE doing it with your accent. (and pace) Where is that accent from? It makes the breathing more fun/music to my ears.
Australia?
How much time should we keep between this exercise and meal if we wish to do it after dinner?
Hour maybe ? I've done it after dinner but think better when dinners gone down a bit
Does it do good like the mouth breathing of win hoff? i find it easier.
Nasal breathing is way more beneficial for health than mouth breathing period.
I've been nose breathing I do think advantage is it filters air seems more controlled. Having said this I don't think mouth breaths are a crime sometimes a good hearty mouth breath feels good too.

I think this is better if you have high blood pressure, is that right? Anyone know?
WH said that it cure high BP, Ashtma
I feel kind of dizzy after doing two rounds ? How many are they
Hi Mike love this but can’t listen to it, for me the words “through the nose” repeated so often are too much. You could give a reminder that it’s through the nose once each round maybe? It would be less distracting, more relaxing.
❤
Is this Wim hof or soma
Nose only breathing serves what purpose? I'm a bit new to this.
Nasal breathing has a ton of health benefits. James Nestor has been on this channel before, he will explain it all if you check him out.
Just something brilliant?
Think it’s better to just say in 2 out 2,3,4 ...
i almost always watch adds before the video starts hope u get some moeny from youtube
I do too!
I hadn't hold 120 seconds is that wrong? I can handle half. Will I get there?
Yes keep on doing it. Practise makes perfection.
