Man, I have to say, you've really impressed me. Having pretty much the same vocal register as yours, I feel this helped me find my footing better singing the song for myself. Sick cover. Keep going, man!

Favorite band from Iceland. I’m struggling to memorize the words, but tis only matter of time. The guitar piece is as nice as anything and fun enough to play🤙🏻

Agreed. KALEO is awesome. You’ll get the words down it’s all just practice. Once u learn it you won’t stop playing it lol

Wow, not only did you sing in Icelandic but this is a very old poem which is even harder. But i must alsp say the guitar playing is on point, singing this song and playing is not easy

Thank you. It was a very fun song to play and sing

This is not a very old poem, - although old/very old is relative i suppose - it's a song that was released by Hljómsveit Ingimars Eydal in 1966, lyrics by Jónas Jónasson.

Vor í Vaglaskógi (with very bad translation to english, just to get the spirit of the poem)
Kvöldið er okkar og vor um Vaglaskóg, (the evening is ours and its springtime in Vaglaskógur)
við skulum tjalda í grænum berjamó. (we should put down a tent in green field of berrys)
Leiddu mig vinur í lundinn frá í gær, (take my hand, my friend, and walk me to the clearing in the forrest that we were in yesterday)
lindin þar niðar og birkihríslan grær. (there is sound of water coming from a spring, and there is small tree of birch growing)
Leikur í ljósum lokkum og angandi rósum,
leikur í ljósum lokkum hinn vaggandi blær. (gentle wind is playing in long, blond, hair and there is a sweet smell of roses)
Daggperlur glitra um dalinn færist ró, (dew is like glitter, the valley is getting peacefull and quiet)
draumar þess rætast sem gistir Vaglaskóg. (if you stay the night in Vaglaskógur, your dreams will come true)
Kveldrauðu skini á krækilyngið slær. (Sunset lights red-light over the heather (with Empetrum nigrum))
Kyrrðin er friðandi, mild og angurvær. (there is peacefull calmness, mild and quiet (angurvær = kind of quiet sadness)
Leikur í ljósum lokkum og angandi rósum,
leikur í ljósum lokkum hinn vaggandi blær.
