This video is the best, I learned so much, you’re so cool, I definitely didn’t have to pause the video to read what this sai-
Anime composite breakdowns are basically impossible to find in the English video space, so even crumbs of it is amazing to see. Would love more like it, thanks for the vid!!
Thank you for watching! I’m trying to figure out the content that people want and go from there, so this helps a lot!
@yeah do more composites DamonBilliot
@@DamonBilliot how many years it took to be this talented
@@BEAST-hc6jg I’ve been doing this for 7 years, but that’s not considered a long time in this industry! You’re always learning, and part of my goal is to provide the resources to make learning about this stuff easier! I want people to learn way easier and faster than I have been!
We're making it in the MAPPA abuse animation team with this one!🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️
I hadn't seen a video on anime compositing before, and the process was somewhat of a mystery. Now I know a lot more, and it's an incredibly exciting process. Thanks for the educational video. I'd love to hear more about anime production ☺️
I’m glad that this video helped you in some way! I’ll try my best to keep going!
Thank you so much for making this breakdown.
Love this! This is definitely going to help my animation journey!
How you explain everything and rlly break it all down scratches the hyper fixative part of my brain well
:O Really well done video!! Might use this for whenever I practice animation myself :D
Also want to mention how I love that you name the ppl who worked on the animations individually! It’s just a mundane detail but it’s nice to see credit be given to those poor MAPPA animators 😭
Thank you! 🙏
@@jun-xu2qm They deserve their credit!!! This stuff is hard work!!
@@DamonBilliot real‼️
I really love your content!! Keep posting!!!
Good video, makes me appreciate what the team behind this have to do
wow clip studio really is incredible. didnt know it also allowed for compositing
I use after effects for compositing. While you technically can composite in Clip Studio, it is extremely inefficient. Each layer would be rendered separately, then imported into an editing software! (In my case, AE!)
@@DamonBilliot ah yea i had a feeling it probably wasnt the most common or efficient too tool. especially because when i watched that one tv show depicting aot staff working on part 3, thet staff used after effects.
Yet another phenomenal video!
Would love to see your approach to compositing metal objects in anime if that's something you're interested in covering. Had a crack at it myself for a fanedit project I'm working on, but there's very little info online available about metal compositing in partucular so it's been a challenge.
Either way, keep up the great work! Compositing needs to be talked about more.
Metal can be quite difficult depending on the exact look that you’re going for.
I’ll be making many shorts covering different compositing topics, and a few different approaches for metal are now on the “to do” list!
Really interesting amazing work!
this is gonna blow up, already subbed waiting for more 😏

Amazing breakdown. I would for you to compare the before and after for the compositing
Great video bro. Keep it up 👍👍👍
Thanks, will do!
Please do more videos like this. I’d watch all of them
I’m working on more as we speak!
God I can't wait to see the Blu Ray version when it comes out
u might wanna do longer vids
this is very valuable information
I was worried that the video was too long actually, so this is really nice to hear! Aside from just giving knowledge, I try to make them entertaining and as least repetitive as possible, so the thought process is that more concise videos would be better. If people are interested though, I can do more long form content!
@@DamonBilliot u have my support in whichever direction you r going.
I feel like ppl r more willing to accept longer form videos too, cuz it's quite specific.
You should really check out jojo part 5 if you haven't already, it's all beautiful, and I really like the doppio vs risotto fight.
this video is pretty cool
This is so well made.
Thank you so much! I spent a lot of time on it!

This is actually fire
I’d actually be interested in knowing how the animators did beyblade burst, I have no idea what they used to make the beys
CGI? Blender? Idk, I wanna know
Bravo sir!
cool break down. I was gonna ask" Why do you suppose the hair is on 7 frame loop and the shirt is 11on Sukuna?" but its bc they meet at 77 frame loop. This is stuff I wouldn't think of unless you didn't mention it. Thanks !
They’re just offset to make the loop less obvious. It’s easier to draw loops so you don’t need to draw hundreds of frames for each, and they’re offset from each other so that the eye doesn’t notice the loop as easy. They would meet at the 77th frame, you’re right, but that’s not a super important detail
I’m glad you asked this though, because I entirely overlooked mentioning that in the video even though I made a point to bring up the loops. I’m still learning how to make this type of content, so bear with me!
Not gonna lie I don’t sub to a ton of people but you earned it asap. Keep it up and you will blow up 💯
Wow, I really appreciate that! I’m trying!! 🙏

This anime could've been as masterpiece in terms of animation as S1 of One Punch Man or even surpass it, but unfortunately they're kneecapped by sh*tty schedule

I don't think Jujutsu stands out compared to others, but it's a fun anime, I really liked the Madoka Magica (Studio Shaft) vibes in the Sukuna vs Mahoraga fight, the music and compositions, and the director also spoke about the influence of Kizumonogatari (studio Shaft) in Itadori and Choso's fight, Jujutsu Kaisen is a good anime, it's not in my top 100 animes in technical terms but it's well done.
What are your top 10 anime?
100? You've watched a lot😂
I actually have a list of all the Anime I watched, a list of 270@@cecilselormamediku9560

After Sukuna laughing and said: "You can see it righrt, my technique" during Makora fight, he perform a skill that shoot various slash at Makora and cut it hand. Can you PLEASE break it down, it's my most favorite scene in that episode, especially the HAND technique just before he using it. It looks so freaking COOLLLLLL, thanks

Would you do a breakdown of composition for Dragon Ball Daima ?
Bad yuh bad
that sukuna smile is so nice. bullshit FX team ruins all the efforts animators make

What app do you use
bro got inside mappa
Could you do a video just on compositing? I always find it hard to balance effects while not making it remain too flat
I have a beginner compositing video up that shows some of the basics, as well as multiple compositing shorts, and will be making more! Keep an eye out!
@@DamonBilliot I see, thank you!
I don't know about compositing, is it a one time process or you have to do it every single frame of an animation??
Every cut, not every frame. Every time the camera angle changes is referred to as a “cut”
@@DamonBilliot thanks👍
yoo could you make this but with aot that would be awsome
Done
I did
What animation software are you using?
I use either Adobe Animate CC or Clip Studio Paint EX for animating depending on project requirements, but I’d recommend Clip over Animate if you aren’t already used to them. I use Adobe Animate CC for compositing and Premiere pro for final edits!
I opened these files by importing them into Animate CC so I could analyze it frame by frame and draw over it in a new layer!
@DamonBilliot thanks I really appreciate because I am just getting into 2D and 3D animation
Do you think the compositer for jjk is as competent as the Demon Slayer one? I know Demon slayer looks kinda better but it has a way good schedule than jjk.. so i'm hoping you could tell me by comparing their technical skills.
This is a great question! I don't think they are less competent by any means! The shows simply go for different aesthetics, and the one used by Studio Ufotable is surely more intricate, but that's simply due to the art-style that the directors choose to go for! MAPPA have chosen to simplify things to meet the demand of a harsh schedule, whereas Studio Ufotable almost always accepts only projects that have more lenient schedules!
how did you upload that K1RO cut on adobe animate?
I embed the video files by going to file -> import -> video! Choose the third option!
I find all of the files I analyze on Sakugabooru, or in certain cases, remake them myself!
Subscribing for a video on One Punch Man season 1 production.
Awe yea, great recommendation!

idk bout u guys but i like mappa (the manga itself) is because they draw the ppl look... normal? not normal normal. but like they tall. and look somewhat real?
What software are u using
In this video I’m using Adobe Animate CC and Adobe After Effects!
What causes dimming issues? I notice them, but I don’t know why they happen
They're done during broadcasting by a program that creates them automatically. Some people are very prone to epileptic seizures, so on public releases like television, dimming and ghosting are created to protect those types of people from having an incident during air. They aren't the intended viewing experience as created by the initial artists, which is why people don't like them, and they do unfortunately remove clarity, but are important to protecting epilepsy-prone viewers.
@@DamonBilliot interesting, I feel like they should just include some kind of a disclaimer instead of editing the clips, even if it’s an automatic process. Or maybe there can be like an epileptic “mode”, similar to how subtitles or languages can be applied to a show. Thanks for the explanation, dude ✌️
I am getting into anime animation but I don't really know what app they use can u tell me
I recommend Clip Studio Paint EX!

É impressionante o quanto os estúdios são inferiores a ufutable kimetsu e fate é algo de outro nível.
wait does it really have that many frames in one scene?
It entirely depends on the shot. One shot could have as little as one frame, and I've also seen shots that have over a hundred frames. There's a lot of variance, it depends on how the shot is planned and executed. There are on average 150-350 shots per episode though, so multiply that by the amount of frames and that's the rough amount of drawings in an episode of a show!
ok
