Do this ^ if you already bought a switch fight stick deck!!!!
Great. I just bought one of those Switch decks from the video new off ebay and it is non refundable đ
@@PreppyvibesAdeline czcams.com/video/ekqL9wWkdbI/video.html
Do this to it. Works way better.
@@Oracle_insight Thanks. So all I need are the buttons/joystick package with the encoder/speakers/drill bit? Do I still need the two NS from the last video?
@@PreppyvibesAdeline no you donât need the magic ns adapters. If you have the parts from the last video; you just swap buttons out and replace with button kit from amazon.
I did exactly what you said for my final fight arcade and it works perfectly thank you for the video
Awesome!
Thanks for the tip about 16:9 and the bezels settings.
very simple and cheap mod, Iâve been looking into this for weeks. this is definitely the route Iâm going to take, appreciate you. shout out to donkey kong country đ€đŸ
Its roughly 100x easier than all the other videos no? Rall thos latinfluencers autisti or sumfi lolthey lik careful this will break ur machine den proceed to break der machine. Dis guy plug n play while delivering more n better games w bestof both worlds on either nd. Lmk if u do it n if it works im goi optto enjoy capcom marvel beforei risk or go thru the investment n effort even for as superficial a mod as this ty
You literally just saved me a few thousand dollars. Great work bro.
Good luck, I know they made changes on some of the parts but let me know how it goes. I stopped modding my machines this way and now buy the button joystick kit instead. I have videos on how to do that if you look through my channel
So do you mean you do the retropie and buy the buttons and stick? Just bought a street fighter 2 machine today for 100 bucks from a lady and wanting more games. Researching best way to do this.
Centipede, Joust, Dig Dug, Frogger, Tempest, Galaga, Ms Pac-Man are some of the ones I grew up playing at the arcade.
For anyone wondering, this mod can only be done to Gen 1 or 2 Cabinets due to the older shapes of the cabs. The PCB will work and you could possibly do some DIY work to get the Switch Pad in, so technically you can with others, though much more work. WARNING, this will not work for any Vertical Style Game Cabinets, such as Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and Galaga. Your picture will be sideways due to the monitor being sideways on the cabinet. The Arcade Box has no options to rotate the screen either, so for Arcade1Up Models that have a Vertical Screen, this will not work at all.
Hi, is there anyway to know which ones are gen 1/2? Or are all mortal Kombat ones gen 1/2 Iâm asking about mortal kombat because I like the style and look for the cabinet, thanks so much
@@gamerzlane936 Yeah, Gen1 or 2 have a bulkier design, depends when you bought it. Is it the one with Mortal Kombat 1 art, or 2, or 3 Ultimate?
@@gamerzlane936 also what games are on it?
is there a link to where i can purchase a gen 1 or 2 cabinet
You don't need to buy the switch controller for this to work. Just get new joysticks and USB encoders and wire it in.
Dude this is awesome, best DAD ever!!!
Great video worked like a charm and for those wondering about the led bar and top sign lighting up I put the old control panel and old monitor motherboard inside the cabinet spliced a toggle switch on the positive on off switch on the old controller ran a 12v power supply to it and bam lights work I have a marvel vs capcom unit btw
Nice! Glad it worked for you!
@@Oracle_insight do you power off the arcade box or just the screen
@@jamez9021 I leave the arcade box powered on inside the arcade machine. I go to the menu screen and click shut down to turn it off. Then when I want to play I just unplug and plug back in and it starts right up.
@@Oracle_insight ok cool thanks
Do you need a no to do switch?
LOL, you're description of plug and play, defers from mine. đ
Night Slashers would be awesome to see. Hope it's on your game box. Fantastic game, hard as nails also. Great - and much easier - in co-op play.
Reason for asking about the Ghostbusters is because Iâm trying to build a Ghostbusters themed arcade! Thanks!

*watch this video for a full step by step install
*modding the gen 1,2 or 3 Mortal Kombat Arcade cabs is the same except you need a different lcd board listed in description for gen 3.
What's up...this inspired me to do the same...only thing I can't fig out is why it won't recognize the fighting stick...top row buttons just keep dancing
I had that problem on my second build with the switch fighting stick. Took me an hour and at some point it worked. Hit the Bluetooth button over and over, swapped player 1 with player 2. Tried with both plugged in and then with only 1 plugged in. And at some point it worked. I donât know how. I went a different route with my newest build and bought a button kit and swapped the buttons out of the switch fighting stick. By doing this you donât need the magic Mayflash adapters and it has less delays in the buttons and it fixes the down left joystick issue.
czcams.com/video/ekqL9wWkdbI/video.html
Watch this video on how to fix the switch fighting stick. It took me about an hour to swap the buttons and install this $40 kit. It is a must!
@@Oracle_insightwhat kind of usb cables are you using? Iâm trying to sync the May flash with the switch stick but same thing just flashing red but wonât sync, in using Amazon basics usb wires
This is great, and seems easy to do. I'm not very computer savvy, so I appreciate mods like this - and Kevgret's.
I wonder, would a Racing wheel via a USB work for all the driving games without the need for the control deck? Seems like an easy way to set-up a racing cabinet. Thanks!
That might work, as long as the magic adapters can read it, it should work.
@@Oracle_insight Thanks. I'm gonna look into it.
Marvel Vs Capcom Need Retro Game Need 30.000 Love Work Enjoy:)
Great video and such an easy mod!!
Thanks man, Iâve seen so many complicated videos online where they want you to make a raspberry pi and manually download games and order new buttons and joysticks and drill into the stock deck⊠I did some research and found a much easier way. You can also hook up an Xbox or PlayStation console. You could have the game box with 30,000 games and then get an hdmi splitter and have all your consoles hooked up if you wanted.
@@Oracle_insight exactly why I made my video... 5 minute mod.. no need to drill any holes or anything like that. I have a HDMI switch and have switch, gamebox, evercade, nvidia shield, all hooked up
Hey me and a few others have an issue with down left diagonal on the joystick, do you have that issues as well?
The link in the description doesnât take me to Amazon. I get safari errors opening it from my iPhone.
Which colour blinking light on the magic stick do you have it set to?
Pretty cool! Thanks for links as well
this only makes sense for games that use a few buttons, for instance setting up n64 controls on something like this would be a pain because you have to set up because you already have 9 buttons to map excluding the main joystick and the most buttons it has is 6 with these arcade 1 ups, playstation would never work either cause you have to map 2 joysticks and 10 buttons to map
Yes although you can plug in a controller that the arcade box comes with for games that donât play well with the arcade buttons.
@@Oracle_insight Ive used emulec before and as you know it detects whats plugged in and remaps your save for that specific controller(arcade buttons/ controllers) and will switch it but youll need access to the box constantly
Add a controller...doneđ

Canât get the magic ns May flash to pair with the switch fighting stick , any ideas why? Just flash red but wonât sync
Does this unit have Tekken tag, mortal kombat trilogy, metal gear solid from the ps1? How about the in game save feature as far as progress with the game you are playing?
Nice but for me raspberry pi was my best choice
They do look awsome from the uk considering getting one hope we can get the arcade box, just curios how does starwars trilotgy work with just the sticks and not a yoke ?
Is there saves game data saved? For instance, you played DK Country and Iâm wondering does it save your progress to come back to later? For all games? High scores? If so, do they reset after unplugged?
Any idea if the USB doggie for the controller will work on the super console x cube ?
My USB wired controllers wont work with the arcade box anymore but it's fine bluetooth with the switch. Any ideas?
where should you plug in the micro usb in the arcade box or what?
Got a question for you. Can you use the original joysticks and buttons that come with 1up or do you have to buy the switch controller board?
Thank you!â

this is so cool! thanks for the info. Question -- what if I want to play the original arcade1up game again? (I have the marvel vs capcom arcade 1up cabinet.) Does this mean I would have to undo the mod and controller in the back, or is it included in the emulator?
I think the game is emulated on the arcade box

Hey bud
Thank for the video .. I have the same arcade can you provide me info. Where to purchase the same board and game box to do it at mines?? All details will help. Newbie on the arcades want to do something plug and play . TIA..
Hey man, I see no one replied, go ahead and follow the link in the description and it will take you to a page where you can get everything off Amazon. However, when you go to buy the arcade box, it will say itâs $90 on Amazon. Most people are getting them off AliExpress for around $47 but it will take about a month to get to you. So itâs up to you if you want to save $33 and wait a month for it to arrive.

Do you have to use wires? Or can those magic usb do Bluetooth? Also, how did you make your power button on the system also turn on the arcade machine?
When using the arcade box you do need to wire it so the arcade box can recognize it. But if you are using a Nintendo switch it does have Bluetooth. Itâs a pretty simple hook up with two micro to regular usb cords and the controls work great on mine. Currently I turn the system off by going to the options menu and clicking shut down. After it shuts down I just unplug it. When Iâm ready to play I plug it in and it fires back on.
What about the legacy cabinets?
will this mod work with the Xmen 4 player arcade1up system?
