It's weird to know that I'm not the only one who still plays Unity, lol.
Yeah i always play unity everytime no matter what new game come out after i finish the new game i buy like any game i buy i will always go back to unity it bring me so much memory for some reason unity and ac black flag is my very first ps4 game i love black flag more but unity damn the parkour and gameplay is so good this two game me feel like i am an assassin while syndicate make my assassin feels starting to decrease while origin make my feels increase back up and odyssey i cannot even tell how my "feels" increase or not the only thing i know when i play odyssey this game is good but it make me feel like i am spartan more than assassin haha😅

Bat Owl Syndicate felt so non fluid I couldn't tolerate it, they did something or maybe due to the buildings but it felt crap.. compared to how they nailed Unity.

well, ACU has the best parkour because of the environment in which the buildings are cramped together and you can reach places on foot easier.

I just love how smooth the combat in this game looks. Every movement from one action to another is so well connected and there's rarely any cut that the combat looks like from an entire single animation.
origins lacks of good animations, just compare the stealth kills animations from unity to origins and the combats look bad, they aren't very hard but we lost those incredibly satisfying combos, eliminations etc and collisions are so buged, hitting someone with a sword feels the same as hitting someone with a stick...
untypebanal surCZcams i'd rather have better graphics and no glitches in Origins to rubbish combat in Unity that looks really bad, I see literally no combos, and the guards react weirdly to the hits. Unity has better parkour by miles but everything else lets it down, its no surprise its one of the worst in the series. Origins is definitely better in everything besides parkour
I tried origin once, and the parkour in that game is a huge letdown. It's the wonkiest control i have ever had in my life.
The combat in origin is nice, however, since you can't really expect to spam and get kills; you actually have to plan your move and attacks to score some damage to your opponents.
The guard reactions to hits in Unity is about as illogical as the "control at will" arrow in Origin. And let's not forget that somehow if you're low level in Origin, stabbing people through the stomach only injures them a bit.
Even that, both are still better than Syndicate's animation. And even that I would still love to try the fast paced combat of AC Syndicate.
Let's face it, this game is anything but realistic at this point (in fact, too realistic makes the game too dull) , It's just them messing with different system and technique, and see what goes well and what doesn't.
Frostynox I completely agree that the parkour in origins is reallllllyyyyy bad.
But needing to plan attacks to get hits is a refreshing change instead of just spamming attacks, deflecting, then spamming again.
The control at will arrow is completely bullshit, no excuse for that.
I think Unity had a lot of potential, if they had developed it for 3 years it would have been one of the best in the series.
Right now I want a remaster of AC 1 or (hopefully) AC in Japan.

At launch it was unplayable, too many bugs and graphics that needed 2020 pcs. But now it is the one that i enjoyed the most. I lost myself into unity and loved it in every possible way. Playing Valhalla is just frustration and pain for how bad everything feels compared to this

@-Malik- Actually, Arno's combat is quite realistic if you ask me. No human can take on an entire army alone and win. Arno was no superhuman compared to Connor where Connor took on the British Army alone in the trailer and killing what I assume is a major or a captain. While combos would make a nice addition to Unity, it really takes away from the challenge of combat in Unity. I'm sure Ubisoft was done with that superhuman crap that made taking down enemies easy as possible and was interested on how people would react to a new combat system which makes taking down enemies harder and longer. AC Unity was one of those ACreed games that was actually based on stealth (see the side objectives in some missions and it'll say like "snipers berserked") instead of combat. Besides, in AC3 enemies were more dense compared to Unity where enemies were more denser in Fauborg Saint-Germain, Tuileries, Panthéon and Les Invalides so combos wouldn't be seen very often in areas like Palaise de Justice or Halles or Marais

For me the biggest let down about the game was that it was supposed to be about the French Revolution yet we barely saw any of the French Revolution. But other than that I loved it. Arno wax cool. AC4 is still my favourite tho

Well even though the release version was a disaster, the story and the overall game felt kinda rushed. Shame, it could have been a really great ac if not the greatest given more time. Still the best combat and parkour in all the franchise.

I love love love Arno, he was such a badass, he has so much class in his fighting style, his fencing looked almost like he was dancing, he had cool moves in combination with really REALLY brutal finishers! and such variety of them! I think his elegance in certain areas makes people not notice how brutal his kills are! He just did it so smoothly. There were some aspects of combat that took getting used too but Unity probably has best finishing animations of all games!

Love the atmosphere of this game as well as the great storyline, so this was honestly one of the best assassins creed.
This game has some of the best realistic, brutal, satisfying combat in the series. You feel like a ninja playing this game.

Just got Assassins Creed Unity back, finishing where I left off great game. Just recently got Assassins Creed 3 Remastered enjoying playing that again, yet to carry on with AC Odyssey. 🙂🙂

Bought the game a week ago for pc and it's amazing. Still playing and didn't encounter any glitches or bugs. Guess devs fix that. And graphics and freerun is so dam good.

I think it's the character trait for Arno and not for every assassin. Efficiency at a variety of weapon types, especially the with the sword, eagle pulse and the fluid parkour

Had this game when it first released and never had any problems at all. Its the best graphics in the series, best parkour and best combat, may not be the most fun combat but its the most realistic. I own the game on both ps4 and pc and it's beautiful

What a beautiful quality
The combat in Unity can either make you think it's extremely bad, or good. It did require medicine and using tools, like Assassins Creed II. But Arno and his enemies can get stuck in stuff. And during multiplayer, the lag can get so bad where the hits don't even finish the animation and don't register.
I LOVED Unity, though. The parkour overhaul was insanely good.
I want the combat to return to assassins creed 3 because of how much it actually made sense to the type of person you are. Assassins have the eagle vision, right? Eagle vision is said to ENHANCE the persons skill and know what the enemy is going to do before they even think of it.

RedDiamond323 is this canon? never heard of the eagle vision to enhance the persons ability that stretches to predicting attacks, also, assassinating people doesn't take a few stabs, trust me. I've seen videos of guys going after their attackers after getting stabbed on r/gore, so i believe suspending belief is good for playing games like AC.
Whatever you stated about eagle vision is bs, that's not how it works. But aside from the glitches and choppiness acu has one of the best combat systems.

the skins are amazing and the choice of weapons were the best. The only downside is that there are items that you can only unlock in multiplayer

the Witch-King it does have bugs and broken graphics, which killed this amazing game with great story line. For example : broken animations / getting stuck in things / broken visuals / also depriving away amazing assassin skills like : different styles of assassinations / hidden blade was let down , we were stuck with what weapons we had / cant pick up bodies to hide them, which broke stealth and so much more.
What i really liked was this game had good story, but again a good story got screwed up by leaving it sort of incomplete and so small.

Al Cee Productions Nope, The patches did help, you can buy it but i heard the patches are worth 6 gigs. But go for purchased version, since that way you’ll get all goodies as well as free dlc.
It does hiccup at few places after patches, but yes improvements are there ofc.
It's good to still see people play this game buy some times the hit boxes are weird and some bugs but the game is still fun and dead kings dlc is the best
My favorite weapon had to be the spear, I had one of the high level ones, but the kills were brutal. One of the kills is you shoving the spear through a person, and then slowly walking past them and ripping the spear the rest of the way out through their back.

I’m happy that Origins gives you a challenge. This game was literally press one button and wait for the enemies to take turns to hit chu.
Except usually when u stab someone or slash them in a killing way they die tho and origins and oddeysey are damage sponges

One of the few ACs that got me trying with the combat since it's usually very easy.I actually did a challenge in the area in the video,I used the weakest weapons and Armor and lured all those 5 star enemies in one place.I could barely see their health dropping lol

why is there so much hate for it? Its the first game i got for my xbox along side ac4 and i truly loved it. Syndicate's overalls were good while origins. Just. Felt. Dissapointing. Unity had everything a great game ( feature wise) should have- indepth combat system, a moderately fine story, detection and stealth system aswell. Not to mention that this game had the best multiplayer in my opinion. What else could one ask for to kill time?
Ehhh No Origins was more relevant to the AC universe and Unity was just about Romance.

This is what a real Assassin is, being stealthy, powerful and unstoppable not like ACO where you can’t really play stealth and where every enemy is almost stronger than you.. you don’t feel like and Assassin in that game..

It's a lot easier to sneak in ACO than other assassins creed games because of the bow. You just have to learn the guards' movement patterns. Same for combat. There really is no need to block unless it is an archer. You can dodge out of the way from every attack. Trust me, you get used to the combat. Personally, ACO is my favorite and the best assassins creed game. It's got the best graphics, the best worldspace, the best combat, the ai isn't comepletely dumb...it's a really good game if you are willing to learn how to play and not just be able to button mash and not have to do anything else.

We know.... when it came out new, I finished the story within 8 days. But it´s 5 years old now so what do you expect, Unity, Syndicate and Creed 2 and 3 were the best and smoothest in the whole serie dude I´m telling you, and we´re all missing the old ones :c!

I really hesitated to purchase Assassins's Creed Unity because of all the negative comments regarding gameplay, story, glitches and bugs and all that stuff. Nevertheless I bought it and I have to say that I really fell in love with it. Not only the gameplay I loved so much I also hadn't any problems with the game. No glitches, no bugs nothing. The graphics are amazing, the atmosphere is splendid, the soundtracks are absolutely brilliant! The main story could've been stronger but nevertheless it is a great game I don't regret to have it bought. The thing is that I want to go back to THIS AC. That what they developed recently seems to be a good game but it doesn't feel like AC unfortunately. Go back to the roots UBI. You destroy AC by trying too hard to become more innovative. You lost your grip on AC unfortunately. This is so sad...

They should have continued building on what ACU has accomplished (solid parkour, improved combat and stealth system, dense city) instead of drastically changing the direction again for the series. Unity is the first time in Assassin's Creed since AC2 that I feel like an assassin again. Why they bother to go for the loot based and Dark Souls-ish combat with parkour becoming nearly obsolete in ACO is beyond me.

D. Alss BR no ac3 had the best combat
SG GAMING AC3 had the most visually pleasing combat, no doubt but it was pretty damn easy. Unity combat had a relatively difficult learning curve. If it weren't for all the glitches at launch, I think ACU would have been better revered.
Problem with ACU combat is, yes it was harder, and made you more tactical. But there were no combos, barely any variations in the kills. Each weapon only has about 2 different kill animations.
AC3 combat was easier by far, but it was much more enjoyable and varied.
