- Capturing the stealth techniques and personalities of five iconic assassins.
Chapters:
00:00 Altair Ibn-La'Ahad
03:08 Ezio Auditore
05:29 Connor Kenway
06:05 Edward Kenway
07:40 Arno Dorian - Hry
Which Assassins stealth and personality did I capture best?
Comment below!
Not what I expected but lets see...
Kill count (plus target) - Altair 14 - Ezio 5 - Connor 1 - Edward 3 - Arno 9
forgive me for any mistakes, as I am not used to poison bombs and groups are hard to follow (though it is fantastic for an assassin when I can't follow his moves)
altair clears the area first and uses their strategy against them (like the priests in his game)
ezio creates distractions and hides among the crowd (what he learned in AC2 and revelations)
connor just sees one target lol (how is he gonna escape?)
edward seems to be the most relaxed and struts among the crowd (like in his trailers)
arno makes the soldiers fight each other (is this how you should do things in unity?)
I just rewatched their trailers and replayed their games a bit for inspiration.
Nice vid bro
@@adamkozio5189 Thanks:)
i think you nailed them all pretty well actually.
- The levantine Hashhashin/Assassyun is thorough and methodical, and like a shadow, dropping everyone that could pose a threat or potential obstruction stealthily, very much like Altair, methodical and calculating, but slightly impulsive and dismissive of life, much like he was in the first half of AC1, and also fit's somewhat historically. the Nizari assassins weren't known for dropping entire guard details, but they were very well known for taking time to infiltrate the target's inner circles and get socially close to the target before striking, and for favoring up close assassination with daggers, like how you mostly did in the various guards with his hidden blade.
-The Renaissance Man sticks to the rooftops for safety and manueverability, like Ezio learned to do in the densely packed cities of italy, and then once that strategy is no longer viable, uses the environment to manipulate the crowds so he can hide amongst the populace, and while he's efficient, he still has a slight cocky bravado to him, like taking out that guard by the window with a projectile right as he shows himself without even looking at him or giving him any thought.
- the Native Hunter and US Revolutionary has only one concern, his target, and nothing else even exists to him. like a hunter tracking his prey, he's hyperfocused, and his blitz charge toward his target is very reminiscent of the original AC3 trailer of Connor running across the battlefield to drop the redcoat commander. he knows he's outnumbered and in the open countryside and sparse townships he's familiar with his answer to that is to be fast and hit his target before anyone knows what's happening, and i assume after the clip ended you made a mad dash out of there, guards in hot pursuit. also bonus points for starting with the firecracker as a distraction, very patriotic and "4th of July".
- the Pirate immediately uses the trees to his advantage like Edward learned to do in the various island jungles of the caribbean, then drops behind the crowd and puts bodies between him and his opponents to hide and provide cover, not unlike having to use line of sight to provide cover when fighting on a ship's deck, putting the enemy crewmen inbetween him and the enemy gunner that's standing on the foc's'l/forecastle with a musket/pistol. he and Ezio think alike when it comes to crowd manipulation and they both take advantage of the fruit stall to create a diversion. he uses fire and smoke to create chaos in the crowd, something that whether intentional or not, was a common result when pirates on rare occasions attacked towns, using arson and grenadoes to their advantage. he uses the crowds to get as close as possible, because like connor, he knows he's outnumbered and needs to be smart and efficient. connor relied on speed and surprise, but our good Captain relies on careful tactical positioning to maximize his chances, then simply shoot's the one guard that's gonna be an issue from close enough that he can't miss, before dropping the target.
- The French Revolutionary has the same problem as the US revolutionary and the pirate, but whereas edward uses cunning and the crowds to his advantage, and connor is used to the open space of the colonies and using speed, Arno's revolution was fought in the cities of france, not the open country land of the colonies, and as a result, where connor uses speed and edward uses the crowds, Arno knows that a crowd of peasants during an uprising is a shooting gallery for the enemy and might not provide him adequate cover, so instead arno uses guerilla tactics, and much like Ezio, who also grew up in a densely packed european city, he stays to the rooftops, creating diversions and throwing incendiaries while using the densely packed buildings to provide cover and break line of sight, something he likely got used to doing while fighting for the cause in the tight backstreets of metropolitan french cities like versailles and paris. he moves in and out of the businesses and takes out more of the lackeys than arguably necessary, because he's used to it not being an issue of one guy, after all you don't change the outcome of a riot by killing one SWAT leader, and likewise in the chaos of the city streets during the revolution it would have been more of an issue of neutralizing as many threats as possible and specifically interfering to protect the people. hence his removing the guards that have commandeered the homes/businesses of the people. he doesn't want to draw fire towards the crowds of people he's trying to liberate, so he stays out of the crowd entirely, and instead uses the enemy's lack of cohesion to pit them against eachother, and then just casually walks up and kills his target while the guards are too busy fighting to even notice their boss is already wounded and on the ground, and likely won't notice his death, either.
I'm torn between whether i prefer your connor run for it's accuracy and simplicity, or the Arno run for it's detail and techicality. but either way, like i said at the start, you did damn good with all of them.
Connor's "where's Charles Lee?" approach is unbeatable. Short and effective 😂
True😅
*GIVE ME LEE!!*
Conner always gave me the Batman vibe: "Where's the Joker!"
Everyone else: Distracting, blending, isolating, using tools, using the surroundings, using the crowd
Connor: Stealth?
Connor: what is stealth?
I mean, stealth in ac3 is kinda wacky anyway...
But still possible :3
@@stealthydude1492 Connor is literally "I have a particular set of skills... but refuse to use them" and ops to use brute force instead of stealth tactics lol
well... i mean there's good chunk of the story he's in middle of war, he's basically 18th century special force dude
Just like in the trailers
Altair: I'll blend in.
Ezio: I'll improvise.
Edward: I'll create a diversion.
Arno: I'll take them all out one by one.
Connor: I'm just going to kill him.
In reality, the quickest and most efficient, along with the least casualties of people just doing their job, is Connor.
Kill like two guards and the main dude instead of killing half the local police force, about a third of which being good people.
Out of all of them, connor is the most terrifying because you can actually see your impending doom
You can see him coming and you know that it's just a straight line to you.
I love how Ezio legit let a guard pretty much bump shoulders, stand right next to him and still didn't detect him.
Remind of that brotherhood trailer
Connor is such a legend. That guy doesn't give a crap how it happens, whenever he sees his target they're dead.
It's why he's my favourite assassin.
@@nstealth mine as well.
@@nstealth x3
Conner is such an American folk lore badass. You can tell the writers took inspiration from multiple American pop culture heroes for Conner. Luke Skywalker, Batman, Spider-Man, just to name a few.
Could you imagine being that Target.. you just giving a speech on your altar and then you see the 6'4 200 plus pound man made out of pure f****** muscle doing the Usain Bolt right towards you
Ps I like how everyone else use the crossbow but Edward just straight-up shot the guard definitely a Edward Kenway moment
Altair Ibn-Lahad, notorious for his heavy use of the Phantom Blade popularised in 17th Century France
😅
Theres no crossbow nstealth captured their style with the tools avaible
@@officerlemons4983 Assassin's Creed 1, the game centered on Altair Ibn-Lahad, did not feature a crossbow as a usable weapon.
@@Spahki True. In Ac1 trailer it was used but in the game they didn't.
@@nstealth they removed it because while crossbows had been invented elsewhere, the were not used in that region till much later, and were not used by the Hashashin/Assassyun, who preferred the effectiveness and the drama of up close murders with daggers, so it was historically innacurate. back when ubisoft still cared about that.
They all accurate. But Connor... CONNOR ISNT WASTING NO TIME XD
That's what he does😅
Bro would even go near that target, he'll throw his tomahawk if he could
Ngl, for Altair’s part, I wouldn’t have used the phantom blade, cuz dat time he didn’t have it
@@wildpeachiehe had knives, so consider that like knives throwing
@@AlomantI was thinking like that.
Imma pretend that phantom blade is a throwing knives
Bro the Altaïr part where you first Phantom Blade’d the guy before assassinating him was so accurate to the trailer lol
U noticed! Yh inspired from the trailer
Yeahh it was sick i am an Altaïr fanboy myself so things like that stick out to me. Love the vid btw ❤️
Connor: Give me Lee!
La Touche: *_Incoherent Screaming_*
Altair - Efficient
Ezio - Versatile
Connor - Direct
Edward - Crafty
Arno - Subtle
I think you captured their styles perfectly, nice vid! :-)
Thanks. That's great to hear!
Subtle is a nice word for Arno. No one knows he is even there for a long time.
How about basim?
i wouldn't call altair efficient, since he was pretty slow, but rather thorough, which i think is really accurate to the character, since he canonically has never been hurt and has the best results out of all assassins. edward and connor are the efficient ones, which makes sense cuz they're related. and as for ezio? he's stylish more than anything else, and really chill, which is perfectly captured here. and arno just feels like the most athletic and energetic one
in that sense
Altair - Thorough / Textbook Assassin
Ezio - Stylish & Chill
Connor - Loud but Efficient
Edward - Bold but Intelligent / Minimal Effort
Arno - Sporty with impressive moves
Jacob & Evie - FAMILY
@@jmgonzales7701 If we talk about lore? He's fast.
Ezio, versatile and a master at blending in.
Connor, built like a tank, faster than lighting, never takes his eyes off his prey like an animal.
Edward, resourceful and the John Wick of the caribbean.
Arno, randomly zoning out, going off to climb and do crazy jumps, then suddenly remembering he has a target to kill, because he probably loves parkour more than he loved Elise.
Altair smooth as hell, although lore accurate Altair would have ended his target in a minute and be on his way home after two minutes.
lore accurate altair would be in a whole differente level, he's the mf who reformed the fucking assassin order
ezio’s approach with the vegetable stand and crowd blending fits so well his advocation of helping the common people as well as his stylish, yet nonchalant approach. connor and edward were also done wonderfully *chef’s kiss*
Glad you think so:)
Altaïr: Use your skills to get to the target.
Ezio: Use your strategies to get to the target.
Connor: GET TO THE TARGET
Edward: Use your tools to get to the target.
Arno: Use the people to get to your target.
Altaïr: I will catch him unaware and kill him as soon as he sees me.
Ezio : I will create a distraction and catch him off guard
Edward: I’m a Pirate. Hide in the crowds, cause a scene, take the kill.
Connor: WHERE IS CHARLES LEE?!!!
With Connor, it doesn't matter, if he sees you you're dead, and even if you escape, the only thing you should do with the little time you have left is writing letters to your family
😅
5:29 the lore accurate assassin
That's right!
😂
Technically that is the historical Levantine approach. Straight in with witnesses to make a statement
I love the look of the outfits in the game, it's incredible. the fabric really looks like fabric.
Wish there was more assassin outfits..
Yeahh you got Connor pretty spot on, he's definitely not known for stealth, he's a full brawler.
He gets sh** done.
He's surprisingly good at stealth for being built like a horse but yeah my version just sprints straight for the target
He uses stealth to get a position. Then he locks in at the target and strikes violently and precisely. Then run away quick.
@sebastianlozano4645 well he is efficient like altair. I like the combination of brutality and efficiency.
Connor's approach is the closest to a Warframe Capture mission lmao
"You have loyalty issues, Tenno. My Zanuka project will fix that for you."
5:29 lore accurate Connor Kenway. Yea if unity had Connor’s tomahawk, he’d air assassinate the target with it😭
Tomahawk? I wish...
Altaïr: I’ll use deceit by acting like I was captured to get close enough for the kill
Ezio: I’ll use crowds to blend in and create a distraction, then walk close enough to finish him with the hidden blade
Connor: Nah too much effort lemme just sprint in and kill him
I read all of that in my mind with their in game voices lol
3:02 I love how u did Altair's crossbow and hiddenblade combo from the first ever ac trailer, surprised no one else caught it
Ayyy! Nice catch. Others have noticed too😄
Honestly, I feel you didn't get Ezio and Altair quite right. Altair was more of the "blend in the crowd until he's close to his target" type, but he likely would have fought his way out. Ezio was similar to Altair, but would have simply found a quick way to disappear into the crowd and escape. Connor was pretty spot on, just running in and doing the dirty fast. Edward would have blended till he got close, then fought his way to his target AND his escape. And Arno is up to speculation, because Arno's style was adaptive depending on situation.
I based ezio's run on his brotherhood trailer where he was more relaxed. For altair I freestyled alot but yh I understand your view.
These 5 (with the inclusion of the Frye twins and Bayek) are my favorite characters in this series. No one else after or in between can match
Yeah, I jus did the "gimme Lee" angle for all of em and it shows😅
5:51 this has to be the rarest vault animation, along with the wall twirl
5:50 that's clean
Lore accurate Edward would kill every single guard with his swords just to shoot the target with the pistols
Can someone remind connor of the word "patience"
Why have patience when he could wreck everyone there? I think Connor wanted people to know that an assassin took the person out.
😅
Altair, Ezio, and Arno 3 min
Edward 2 min 30 sec
Connor....30 seconds...
Man this channel deserves more attention from the community. The videos are really well made and the creator studies each assassins so well. Kudos!
Appreciate it! I just love creating videos for everyone😅
Altair's approach should have been AC 1's trailer. The design of this mission practically begs you to do it. Connor could have gone for an open combat approach, similar to his AC 3 trailer. The rest I think are very fitting.
I rewatched all their trailers for inspiration and I thought about it for a long time...
It would be interesting to see how they escape the area as well.
@@SwetlanasCozyplace I was going to add the escape but they were all too similar so I discarded it.
Altair - The Ghost
Ezio - The Assassin
Connor - CAPTAIN AMERICAA
Edward - The Distractor
Arno - Just kill everyone
Accurate.
Altair: Pure stealth, a ghost
Ezio: Adaptable, quick on his feet
Connor: Direct, a tank
Edward: Crafty, full of firepower
Arno: Subtle, refined
I loved this. each outfit taking on the task in a more lore inspired way to them. I kinda hope to see more mission's done this way. has me wanted to replay the games again lol. I like connors is just, B Line to the target. edward approuching in stealth then going out with a bank.
Once you put the outfit on, something just changes...
@@nstealthI hereby request this same video for the other assassination missions
@@RainSennin_ismyAlt I have something planned for siverts mission...
No joke altair's was smooth
Altair is known for efficiency
3:02 You nailed it!!!
Quickfire cherry bomb to the floor from the roof.
Every time I watch a Unity video (and I've seen several) I see something new. Cheers!
👍🏻
I love how despite being the most savage kill, Connor's was the cleanest, only taking out the target.
He doesn't mess around.
1. Altair Ibn-La'Ahad : Levantian Assassin and the Original Assassin.
2. Ezio Auditore : The most beloved Italian Assassin.
3. Connor : The Mohawk tribal American Assassin.
4. Edward Kenway : The former privateer turned Carribean Pirate turned Assassin.
5. Shay Cormac : The Former Colonial Assassin turned Templar.
6. Arno Dorian : The Revolutionary French Assassin.
7. Jacob & Evie Frye : The Twin British/English Assassin Siblings.
8. Bayek of Siwa & Aya : The founder of the Hidden One and the great Egyptian Hidden One.
9. Kassandra or Alexios : The Greek Spartan Mercenary or The Cult Leader.
10. Eivor Varinsdottir/Varinson : The Norwegian Viking/ Shieldmaiden Hidden One and the Reincarnation of Odin.
11. Basim Ibn Ishaq : The Alamut Street Thief turned Hidden One and the Incarnation of Loki.
12. Yasuke & Naoe : The African Slave turned Samurai serving Oda Clan and The Japanese Shinobi from Iga.
Connor: YEEET! love it. straight forward and too the point
My type of Assassin.
@@nstealth damn straight :)
Altair - calculating and constantly on the move
Ezio - mostly sticks to the rooftops and utilizes crowds
Connor - Leeroy Jenkins
Edward - hides in plain sight then goes guns blazing
Arno - stealthy and uses agility to his advantage
Well put👍🏻
I never understood how ANY of the guards never felt like "hmm this dude in all white with a hood looks mighty suspicious" or at least been shown a picture of the very obvious "look" of an assassin so they know what to look out for, but I guess the suspension of disbelief is expected by the player.
How would they get a picture of any of them? The closest thing is wanted posters in some of the game, which you do need to get rid of in order to lower your status
The thing is in medieval times hoods were pretty common. Moreover, assassins were supposed to be like ghosts. Nobody lived to describe how they looked like.
Now this is content
I feel like Altair's approach would've been to blend in the crowd, get as close as possible, and then pounce on the target when they least expect it. At least that's how you killed most his targets in the first game
Yes because he is efficient
You captured well connor’s unstoppable style, but in fact, thats the assassination of Altaïr in AC trailer 😂 Public execution, watch from above, quicky jump into the street coming out the crowd and catching his pray, then would follow a badass chase
That was sick, that was so dope
Thanks:)
love the approach on altair, hes using blending into the crowd the most, also prepares his attack very thoroughly. Ezio approaches on the roofs, and he goes more for distraction than illusion, but still approaching as a ghost. connor is just his wild way as depicted in the trailer where he runs straight at an army. for edward i think he should have gone for a approach with guns for the target, sadly that the target doesnt fight than a swordfight would be fitting
The Assassins: Going ninja mode
Connor: Hold my tomahawk
😅
Altaeeer my beloved
Altair running to the platform at the end to assassinate him kinda reminded me of the ac trailer of his game
That was my inspiration for the kill.
Altaïr my fav one ❤
Connor is straight hands. Ain't no stealth over there.
Just give him a target.
It's a really fun game. I still play it today sir
That's great to hear!
Yes sir@@nstealth
Conor: stealth? Never heard of it 😂😂
😅
@masterassassin690 great idea. Really want to watch it in your way
brooo that edward stare
Don't make eye contact...
Connor is goated
Connor was perfect 😂
Say what you will about Connor’s route, but it certainly was the shortest
How'd you do the roll into the window at 0:05? I've never seen that done before
It's automatic. Just hold high profile (sprint) in the windows direction but keep in mind it's not consistent.
5:52 didn't know you could do that, it's absolutely epic
Yh parkour is clean...
3:03 I saw what you did there.
bro connor wa wildddd lmao, regardless of the fact that he opted to put on a disguise when investigating benjamin church with haytham lol
I used their trailers for inspiration. Connor charging against an army to kill the target.
@@nstealth yeah well animus is convenient, go after the main guy regardless of how many are around him, the cutscene will save you lol
The Connor bit reminds of the e3 trailer. How is should be
One man army.
Which assassin creed game is this, how are you play different characters in the same locations? Locations changr for every game arent they? I just fee days ago started ac2 snd so far ezio never came across the place you did here with ezio. Which game is this?
Assassin's Creed Unity, you can unlock the outfits of previous protagonists throughout the game
Little did you know that those 5 legendary assassin's are all one person.
😅
How do you do the quickshot without being in combat mode?
I'm on xbox so left bumper.
For my arno (and my oc assasin) I always killed everyone before gettin to my target, for the purpose of no npc goin to save them if I got detected, and havin no problems to escape later, dont know how accurate could my playstyle be for arno
Connor got anger issues 💀💀💀
He's not playing...
They need to remake this or remastered by fixing the bugs 🤧
Yh waiting patiently...
Ngl, I probably don't get Edward very well. I was honestly expecting him to just go up to the closest rooftop and shoot the guy in the head with his pistol
It was tempting...
I think that the Altair approach is mostly the Ezio's approach, and the Ezio's approach is mostly the Altair's approach
I based ezio's run on the brotherhood trailer which he was relaxed for most of it. For altair's run I freestyled alot and I also wanted to replicate what he did in his trailer, the crossbow kill then assassination.
It was Accurate so far
Amazing. But i think swapping ezio's and altair runs is more accurate imo. I think altair is the one who blend in the crowd and creates distractions,
Imo Ezio is more fast paced and noisy
I based ezio's path on the brotherhood trailer. So it wasn't fast or anything like that but thanks for commenting:)
Connor be like: Don't care what happens just GIVE ME LEE!!!!
I still think Haytham’s outfit should be in games, it’s another of Desmond ancestors, awesome look and just fits better in legendary assassins than Arno (also he is not a Desmond ancestor so Haytham fits better).
cool video
but Altaïr didn't actually use poison during his time.
I did this mission with Shay Cormac outfit 😂
That outfit is clean.
No Shay?
I got you --->czcams.com/video/Yl1ew_kBxV0/video.html
What mission?
Sequence 11: Rise of the Assassin
Why is Altair the only one to use the cage?
I didn't want to repeat the same tactic for every assassin so I decided to only use it for altair's run.
@@nstealth You used the vegetable stand for both Ezio and Edward.
@@maddenboseroy4074 I did, so that ezio could walk right on stage and assassinate without being seen. For edward's path I used it to create an opening for cherry bomb then pistol kill and assassination.
Other Assassin's check and do everything possible
Connor well i don't tell i see lee😂
How did we go from this kind of parkour to mirage
😔
Were the hell is Basim, dude legacy for me is second only to Ezio
Would have loved to but in AC Unity basims outfit isn't available in the game.
@@nstealth sorry man😅I completely miss the point it was just about the unity game😅
you know stealth would be something else for connor since he is the tallest assassin 😅 6'0
True😄
while all of them did it differtnly cant argue with the results but i reccon edward would air assissnated him and killed the guards all same times like flies
Actually, there are six including Jacob
I would if Unity had the outfit in the game...
install the mods bro
Never! I play on xbox series x so I can't but i still won't if I could. I'll just patiently wait for a remaster...
