The contents of the letter according to the comics:
    ""Dear son,
There's only one thing I know about life. I know some things happen by chance. And some things happen because we make them happen. Barry Allen was once haunted by the past. But when he became the Flash, he left the ghosts behind. He found love, a family. And for the first time ever...friends. Barry thought yesterday was behind him...but somebody wouldn't let him escape it. When Barry came to me for help, I turned him away. I'm not the hero of this story. I'm a man who's been corrupted by his own unbearable pain. I'm a man who has too much blood on his hands to be called good. Your friend taught me we can't only live a life for those we've lost. We have to live a life for those we still have. If I got a second chance, I would hope I'd come to understand that. To live that...like you should, Bruce. That's all parents want for their children. What we never had. Your mother and I want you to be happy. Promise me you'll try. And I will too...wherever I am.
Love always, your father -- Thomas."

It just hit me that this was the kind of closure Batman needed to hear when he desperately came to the grave of his parents in Mask of the Phantasm.
I would like to think he was already on this path when he made friends in the JL .
But like the impact of that subversion of fate's kind of lost in comics cause they are so endless and like making Batman as everyone's superior.
I would prefer thinking that in the DCAU despite Batman Beyond or maybe since JLU was made after it Bruce could have countered the state of his life in Beyond being without friends cause he sealed himself off. And even then if the Epilogue episode is to be beleived he at least still has Terry as like his idk third chance at not dying alone and full of darkness.

Other than some sort of literal god, Flash has been shown to be the strongest DC character in terms of what his powers allow him to canonically do:
      - Use speed force to phase through anything.
      - Can use that same speed force to put it in objects, causing them to explode in to pure energy. It's been hypothesized that if Superman were to punch Flash, he could destroy Superman with his own punch in this way.
      - Can travel in time just by running.
      - Can outrun literal death.
      - Can vibrate himself through situations, like being stuck in space, and other shenanegans.
Flash is the most broken DC character, and they had to nerf him just to make it fair.

    Dear Son,
There's only one thing I know about life.
I know some things happen by chance,
And some things happen because we make them happen.
Barry Allen was a man haunted by his past.
But when he became the Flash, he left the ghosts behind.
He found love. A Family. Friends.
Barry thought yesterday was behind him...
...But somebody wouldn't let him escape it.
When Barry came to me for help, I turned him away.
I'm not the hero of this story.
I'm a man who's been corrupted by his own unbearable pain,
I'm a man who has too much blood on his hands to be called good.
I'm a man who had nothing to live for...
...until the day I met the Flash.
The first time I met Barry Allen, I nearly killed him.
Like I said, I'm not the hero of this story.
    Love always.
    Your father.
    Thomas.

Like, when I watch the graveyard scene from Mask of The Phantasm, and then watch this scene, I tear up a bit think about how proud the Wayne's would be of their son, as well as how much that in spite of all he has achieved for Gotham, their greatest wish would be for him to be happy.
