When you think about it, Batman didn't know Superman was even going to be there, he just happened to be carrying around Kyptonite Knuckles just incase
prepared for the worst
Supes isn't the only kryptonion
In the original Hush comic series, Batman carries kryptonite incrusted rings in the center piece of his utility belt and that's what he hits Clark with. Also, I don't remember if Lois almost dying is the way Clark comes back or not. My Hush comics have all been in a friend's house for years now so I can't check lmao
“You don’t come to metropolis and not be prepared for him” -Batman Hush
That's why he has that 'utility belt' of Wonderful Toys.🤡

@@dwecktek simpsons reference. Love it.
@joshua ashley Brass knuckles are basically plate metal usually brass or a mix of copper and nickel/ any metal. ( They were originally made of brass because brass vibrates, very important when throwing a punch ) basically it is a weapon meant to increase the severity/lethality of a punch. Even if you had a weak punch brass knuckles will leave a mark, they are used mainly in street fights and it is illegal to use in competitive fights like boxing or mixed martial arts. But on the streets its legal, its just meant to protect you while giving you a better harder punch.
Fearlessly going toe to toe with one of the most dangerous and powerful entities in the multiverse? That just shows you how brave Superman is.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
lmao
I see what you did there😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
For real. Even though the entity is mostly toying around with Supes, this is no joke as a feat.
I love how Batman fights here, he knows he’s unable to overpower Clark so he uses psychological warfare to give him an edge. Every time Superman gains the upper hand Batman gets in his mind a little bit more.
Though keep in mind several times it is pretty clear sups is also fighting Ivy's mind control. A la bat's lying, supes super senses allowing him to know if someone is lying or not, but here he doesn't even question it. Bat's was giving him enough of an excuse to fight Ivy. Let alone supes litterally could have thrown batman hard enough to insta kill him, but doesn't.
@@veneficus7430 superman can't tell if Batman is lying, yes he has that ability but Batman has the ability to control how what he says is perceived as truth or lie thats why it works and why he also had to tell him he lied to further mess with him because even with his senses he believed him, batman has even done it to mind readers.

diorgaloreee wdym he will always beat Superman in a fight. Doesn’t matter if batman exploits him or not, Superman could still flick him, throw him, smack him, all before batman could react or blink, or do whatever. If you could all of the times that they have fought in comics, Superman has won most of them. People only think batman wins because he one in their most popular bouts. Such as TDKR, Tower of Babel (he didn’t even win here, but I’ll give him the edge).

"Seems my kryptonite kisses need a little touch-up"
I love how the villains can't mind control Superman without Kryptonite, yet Kryptonite is also the substance which actively makes him weaker.
Yes, you get a mind-controlled Superman, but he's also not operating at 100% since the the Kryptonite on his lips is actively weakening him.
This portrayal of kryptonite is do weak. Typically if those were actually brass knuckle kryptonnight superman would not be flying. Nore would he have super strength. In other shows just a ounce of kryptonknight hurts superman
@@slurp3194 Superman doesn't lose all durability when near kryptonite in the comics it just makes him weaker and makes his body react similar to being poisoned with toxins his body shuts down but its not weak, he can still tank punches from some human even in his weakened state because Krptonians on their world were still dozens of times stronger than earths humans.
@@slurp3194 This is just a total guess but at the end of the clip Batman says the lipstick was synthetic Kryptonite so it could have a weaker effect than real Kryptonite. Also Batman immediately recognized it as synthetic so it is possible that he used that as well like in the brass knuckles. I love how when brainwashed or turned evil, Superman is an unstoppable force of nature. But when he's on the good side, villains just casually run him down like he's some sort of plastic.
I mean you too would hold back if you fought in a highly populated city when you have the power to level it in minutes.
Mostly because Superman holds back like
A LOT
"That man won't quit as long as he can still draw a breath. None of my teammates will. Me? I've got a different problem. I feel like I live in a world made of cardboard, always taking constant care not to break something, to break someone. Never allowing myself to lose control even for a moment, or someone could die. But you can take it, can't you, big man? What we have here is a rare opportunity for me to cut loose and show you just how powerful I really am."
*Proceeds to punch Darkseid so hard he flies through half a dozen buildings*
Superman holds back, horrifically. It's like Mike Tyson hitting you with his pinkie
That's his whole point. He is so genuinely good that he really can't risk using his full powers as not to kill anyone. Also Superman is regularly distracted by innocents in danger and so many villains use it against him. Evil Superman just doesn't care
I absolutely love the near bottomless faith Batman has in Superman
It's not "bottomless" as he still has contingency plans against him and he it's not "faith", it's trust as it's all within reason of what he KNOWS superman to be as a person.
@@Gadget-Walkmen thanks
@@gallaros9 uh huh.
They're best friends. Even if Bruce isn't one to openly admit it all that easily, they have a great deal of mutual trust and respect for each other. Just look at their relationship prior to Injustice kicking off, when a pregnant Lois goes missing, the one person a frantic and panicking Clark immediately goes to for help is Bruce, who immediately gives it and calls in whatever Justice League backup is available at the same time. Clark turns to Bruce for help over anyone else, including Diana, J'onn, Barry, etc. And Bruce in turn is willing to immediately call in the entire Justice League purely because Lois is missing, and The Joker is the one who has her.
Plus there's his exchange with Supergirl in Injustice 2 after Clark is seemingly killed by Brainiac:
*Bruce:* "I'm going to miss him too."
*Kara:* "Do you really mean that?"
*Bruce:* "We were friends once. I trusted him with my life. But then The Joker got to him. I lost my friend, Clark. I've missed him ever since."

Injustice
@@GenocidalFox and it would have genuinely been Batman's fault this time
I really can't tell if it could happen or not.
The reason why that happen is because Joker killed half Metropolis, and mind controlled him to confusing Lois with Doomsday, causing him to kill Lois and the unborn son of Superman.
*So why the Injustice event could never happen?* The rage and problematic of Superman detonated because of this 3 big important deaths and that he knew that if he killed Joker since the beginning, a lot of lives could been saved, that and the fact that not killing Joker and other criminals caused more problems to humanity than saving them, but he always controlled himself.

Just going to say there is legit nothing batman can do against a superman thats enraged and wants to torture and insanely kill batman in an evil way just because of supermans speed
So, you guys remember how everyone was pissed that batman made plans to neutralise all of them behind their backs? Yeah...
Exactly. This is why you have contingencies.
This shit could happen and they still get pissed about them
Different continuity pal. Jesus Christ, love it when people take all animated shows and movies and act like they're all from the same continuity. Not everyone is against Batman having contingencies. Hell, Superman is the one that gave Batman the fucking kryptonite in most iterations.
@@xrstevenson I know they're different continuities pal, and I know that Superman is the one that willingly gave Batman the kryptonite, but I'm just saying they'd probably react similarly if, in this continuity, Batman's contingencies were found and used. That was just an example to prove a point, that while the members of the league don't like the contingencies, this kind of stuff makes them a necessity.
In the comic Green Lantern, Flash, and the Martian Manhunter voted against expulsion as they knew Batman had a point. Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Plastic Man voted for Batman's expulsion from the League. Superman was the tiebreaker, but Batman left before hearing his decision because he knew which way Clark was going to vote. At least GL, Flash, and MM realized it's good to have contingencies.

In 1986 a woman robbing a bank legit asked Superman, "you wouldn't hurt a lady...?" and he replied by gently taking her glasses off, and then knocking her out with them by chucking them at her face. He wouldn't bat an eye at Ivy getting the daylights kicked out of her.
