@Alyssa Additionally, look at places run by Republicans....Texas AND Florida both have 27k people that are homeless. Like. Dude. Homeless people tend to migrate where there is possibility of a job, sooooooo naturally they go to busiest states. What a dunce.
The terrifying thing is he believes it's bad but he wants it to be bad
@Alyssa It’s because In his mind, socialism is when the government does stuff
It's because he is so deeply brainwashed he doesn't understand the difference or was never taught the correct definitions. Communism is a demon to him.
He looks like that he is slowly realising capitalism is wrong but knows he's not allowed to admit it
I have a BA in polisci and I took several courses related to the “politics of food” and I can confirm it’s not simply “leftovers” being thrown away, it’s mostly fully edible produce that have slight blemishes that are thrown away because we’re trained as a society to recoil at the sign of anything less than perfect. Brad is infuriating.
Rant:
Exactly. Picky children who “only need to take a bite”, people who want to impress family and/or friends with over buying food for a party or get together to show how much they can afford, fast food places and stores that over stock because people have been taught to not want to buy the last of something because there must be something wrong with it, gardens/farms that let people pick their own food but no one wants the one that’s off-colored or not perfectly round, school lunches tossed out instead of available to kids who can’t afford them (I live in a place where they are free now but they aren’t free everywhere), food for Instagram or tik tok or Facebook, showing off that you can take a really appetizing photo, youtuber muck bangs where they over eat to an uncomfortable amount at times, kids channels where their children or parents just eat food vs gummies, CZcams videos of trying to gain weight the fastest, youtube videos of pranking fast food places and buying a ton of food, pranking fast food places and dropping, throwing, smashing and other to food, those tik tok channels that do the “me when I pay” *eats tiny amount of food* “me when (other person) pays)” *insane amount of food that looks perfectly fine that the person obviously won’t eat* or those tik toks where people put food in their toilet or a ton on the counter. America is so wasteful. So much of that is the internet. I believe the internet is a huge impact to why so much food is wasted.
When I worked fast food we'd have a good bit of food waste.
Some of the food would get recycled for some other dish, but like our breakfast biscuits??
Freshly cooked PANS would get thrown out cause it was after 10:30 😣
I worked at a grocery store and the manager double ordered the freezer stock and just dumped the second order.
Facts, I worked in an upper scale grocery store in the produce department, I would throw away at least $200 worth of food every day, if not $1000. Whether it's the tomato potato that's got a green spot or the premade lettuce mix & Kombucha that just expired.
@@BiGfootOwNs The fucked up thing? There are legal protections for people who donate food, so that they don't get sued if they donate food that is past the expiration date.
Most food shelters will even come pick up the donations themselves! The store can get a tax credit for their donations!
But that's extra time and paperwork. It's easer to dump it in the trash and write it off as a loss.

I pay taxes. I get universal healthcare. Most people who receive universal healthcare in my country are taxpayers or had been for 50+ years. Conservative capitalists lack empathy, almost completely.
we pay taxes to save us from the evil socialists who would do things like force us to pay taxes!
It’s just optimizing what our tax dollars go to anyway, regardless we are paying. Why not have that money go to actually helping people including ourselves? Conservatives are so stupid
I pay taxes. Then I pay hundreds of dollars a month for healthcare for my family. Then I get to pay more out of pocket when we actually use the healthcare I paid for. Yes, this whole socialism thing seems so TERRIBLE. 🤣

@Future the Toxic Lord I don't agree with the conservative guy in the video's takes at all, but I agree with your point. "Free market" is the idea that you should be able to have freedom in what you are able to sell and purchase, which is different than the "free" where you don't have to pay for something. The ideas don't actually contradict.

It is, in fact, not illegal to hand out food. The reason companies throw away perfectly good food instead of giving it to people in need is because philanthropy is not profitable.
So, uh, yeah it is because of capitalism.
Wait isn’t it illegal to give away expired food though?/gq
@@crypticshadows Well it depends a little. Remember that expiration dates are more so guidelines than rules. But in terms of knowingly giving out food with like mold and stuff that may be illegal but giving away bread because it expired yesterday will probably be totally fine both safety-wise and legally speaking. Generally there won't be retaliation if they something like that. Sometimes it is even encouraged in terms of tax benefits and such but it is decided on a year by year basis, stores don't like the idea of doing something costly and then suddenly the government is like "lmao we ain't doing it this year"
actually there are also a ton of laws against distributing food to those in need. look into food not bombs for more on that.
also, it's not relevant here, your point here is valid, but philanthropy is massively profitable - mutual aid, not charity. Bill Gates, etc.

For real, I was mostly moderate in my economic beliefs until I worked at a mortgage company. Then I saw how capitalism can be extremely negative, yet applauded due to the ability to "own property." All my 65+ year old relatives who've lived in the same spot for 40 years own property, everyone else is just borrowing it until it's paid off. If anyone came in to buy food after the kitchen closed he'd give them it because he hated tossing it so much. Honestly pretty shocked he never got into trouble for it, but really glad he didn't.
@@mycologyqueer I was tempted to do the same but too scared of getting fired :( Good on him though! Was actually pretty broke and hungry myself and oh boi the amount of times i wanted to take it for myself
@@bananabrain2996 that's completely understandable, you have to survive too, and that includes keeping your job. I hope you're in a better situation now where you don't have to worry about food like that
@@mycologyqueer I am! Thanks :)
I don't understand why they don't just give it to shelters? It costs them nothing....
It was me laughing everytime Nick tried to predict what the other guy was going to say like the other guy had an intelligent response 🤣
this guy really said I'd rather keep paying for extensive face-lifts I don't need than shell out some more money in taxes to stop other people from literally starving
This is very impressive actually. He's a real human and yet he looks like something straight out of the uncanny valley
I love his argument that all the underpaid people are voluntarily working so they shouldn't be complaining about their wages as if the threat of homeless and starvation isn't good enough to make you work at whatever money they give you.
I absolutely love when Bambi tells us his opinions in the background of your videos. Thank you for your input Bambi I would have never thought about that
19:38 Brad looks like a 40-year-old version of Drew Gooden during that vid.
"if someone works more slowly or less good they would get paid the same." That's.... Literally what happens right now under capitalism
Even then, he's trying to make the argument that "hey, let's punch down because it's not fair that you're making the same wages as somebody who isn't as productive as you are!!". It's like... Some people have different work-speeds. Some people are inexperienced/new to the job. Some people are elderly. Some people are sick. Some people have different cognitive needs and abilities. He's really just saying "the elderly people who greet you at Wal-Mart deserve to make as little money as possible" or "students who work don't need to make enough to live" or "your co-worker doesn't deserve to make as much money as they do because you're doing much better".
I love how this man defended a graph with no numbers.
That shit triggered me so bad. He used that graph as a fashion statement for intellect.
While living in Portland, I did a lot of community outreach. A lot of that involved talking with people experiencing houselessness. Many of them were not from Portland - they spent the last of what they had to get to a city where they might have more of a chance at survival.
This guy reminds me of the robotic politician from Parks & Rec that would shutdown when he was alone in Ben’s office 😂😂😂
Somebody needs to recalibrate Brad's facial expressions
The (WARNING: CRINGE) in his video title wasn't referring to the tiktoks, but instead the whole video. We should have heeded his message
just realised this man is in front of a green screen or somethin
literally when he’s talking to the camera and it zooms into nick you can see faint green lines around him,,,,
The way he said "services" makes me assume that he never ever experienced any kind of those services in his life lol
People DO like when you do politics. It's how I found this channel, why I subscribed, and why I keep coming back. Keep that shit coming dude. Obv politics isn't your entire platform/product, but you certainly don't need to avoid videos like these.
I really like hearing him talk about politics because it’s funny and the people he’s reacting to are so painfully ignorant
"I want to roll my eyes so bad" I don't think brad is capable with those robotic eyes he's got there
12:39 when did the tiktik speak of "leftovers", it was talking about fresh food.
People really ok with spending hundreds of dollars out of their checks for insurance but not paying overall less per doc visit with M4A
Hey Nick! I like your political commentary- create what you want to create! I’ll always be entertained tbh
2nd this!
i like it too!
I agree w/ what you’re saying but it’s worded like a school discussion post response
@@ErinErout dog cmon now 😭😭
same
dude looks SO scared and angry and is trying to pretend hes amused lmao like he looks seconds away from barking at poor ppl bc we dont wanna die
I just realized Nick is rocking Mezes.
Mad jealous man.
Brad looks like the cop character off of detroit become human waiting for you to pick an option when he watches the videos
I feel like it’s less about “politics” and more fighting the idea that all humans deserve basic human rights. I love your videos! Thanks for posting!
unfortunately that is politics….
Politics has always been about who lives and who dies.
free market? somebody has to pay for that market mr brad
"delete the word free from your vocabulary. there's no such thing as free." rain water. wild produce. but food and water aren't human rights, are they? 🙄
