This man is a good defense attorney. Only if he had something to work with. If she didn't confess she probably could've walked because he definitely raised reasonable doubt

Yeah. You can't defend a guilty client well when she is recorded several times admitting to it and her lover admits to planning it with your defendant when pleading guilty. Not to mention the circumstantial evidence of their affair.

I guess LP J didn’t hear the rest of the trial, only this part, bc s/he thinks this is “.....a good defense attorney....because he definitely raised reasonable doubt.” Well, I thought I watched the whole trial, but I guess I missed that part....the only “reasonable doubt” I personally experienced was in pondering how long the closing statements might be. This is about as airtight as a case gets, and the 2-ton capstone was the conversation the defendant had with her mother, where she again spilled it all and said she wasn’t coerced. Sorry, LP J....you’re as wrong as wrong can be!

I think once JC told his friend, it would have led back to her anyway. Once they checked the license plate readers and cell phone she would have been cooked. The confession was just the icing on the cake.

IDK if the State authorities will charge Spc. Hamilton but I'm sure the Military will. To know of a crime before hand and not go to your 1St Sergeant or higher Commander is a violation of the UCMJ. Although his defense wasn’t bad, let’s talk about the things he didn’t address. His job was to cause reasonable doubt by highlighting certain important facts to question the prosecuting attorneys opinion. Why not address why she transferred money into her side dudes account immediately after receiving the first 100,000 of insurance money? Why not address without being coerced why she voluntarily talked about the numerous times they planned to kill her husband before they actually did but the others opportunities were failures? Why not address how she admitted to calling her lover to come and kill her husband the day he actually did after he left to go back home because he felt he wouldn’t have the chance? Why not address the fact that he knew exactly where to find her husband by her own admittance because she gave him the address? Why not address her google search recovered 4 days after her husbands death? Reason being is because they bring about clear doubt. These are topics that in no way could easily be debated or defended. He knows she’s guilty but his job is to offer her the resolution she choose to fight for fairly. The Devil’s advocate indeed!

No matter what her defense attorney say or do they key point to this case is that she confessed to everything. So anything he’s saying really is a waste of breath. Not saying he’s a bad attorney but she messed her self up. So of course try and get Hamilton locked up as well because she’s about to get the book thrown at her. Which I believe Hamilton should also go to jail no matter what he knew about the plan to murder since day 1.

Hamilton & Cuellar wasn't pillow talking like Kemia was so there is no way that she didn't take him seriously. If she didn't take him serious she wouldn't have told him to turn around and come back. Hamilton knew his friend to always be talking BS so why would he believe him? Clearly, there were other instances when he said stuff and never came thru. BTW when Hamilton was trying to explain why she didn't want anyone to know about the affair - They are in the ARMY and everyone falls under the UCMJ. Adultery - Punitive discharge, forfeiture of all pay & allowances and confinement for up to 1yr can be given that is why she didn't want anyone to know that's for sure. But everyone did know, even her husband but the Army is so laxy-dazy about stuff like that and its common and people rarely get in trouble for it unless its something attached to it like a HOMICIDE of a spouse. SHE IS TRASH for what she did. All for the OKEY DOKE and messed up her son's life. Poor father said he was mourning for her. God Bless him. They need to not let this gurl see the light of day ever again.
