This man is a good defense attorney. Only if he had something to work with. If she didn't confess she probably could've walked because he definitely raised reasonable doubt
Yeah. You can't defend a guilty client well when she is recorded several times admitting to it and her lover admits to planning it with your defendant when pleading guilty. Not to mention the circumstantial evidence of their affair.
I guess LP J didn’t hear the rest of the trial, only this part, bc s/he thinks this is “.....a good defense attorney....because he definitely raised reasonable doubt.” Well, I thought I watched the whole trial, but I guess I missed that part....the only “reasonable doubt” I personally experienced was in pondering how long the closing statements might be. This is about as airtight as a case gets, and the 2-ton capstone was the conversation the defendant had with her mother, where she again spilled it all and said she wasn’t coerced. Sorry, LP J....you’re as wrong as wrong can be!
I think once JC told his friend, it would have led back to her anyway. Once they checked the license plate readers and cell phone she would have been cooked. The confession was just the icing on the cake. I do agree with you about the Defense Attorney.
Talking about manipulation from the detective.... he’s trying to manipulate the entire courtroom. Good job on your closing but damn she’s guilty sir ...
Poor defense lawyer his scenario has a lot of holes in it. He can't explain away the most damning evidence. He talked about Hamilton but Hamilton wasn't married to Tyrone Hassel III. He knew they were planning but he didn't know all the details like the wife & lover did.
Kemia Hassell manipulated by a professional? No, She answered his questions and gave details only a complicit party could provide. A horrendously, terrible plan and choice. Just cant conjure how these two thought they weren't going to get caught.
IDK if the State authorities will charge Spc. Hamilton but I'm sure the Military will. To know of a crime before hand and not go to your 1St Sergeant or higher Commander is a violation of the UCMJ. We probably won't hear about it, but his Military career is over as soon as this two trials are finished.
@@lynettedyson5098 Exactly right. As of now he's actually restricted to Company Area. And not allowed to leave on his own. The Military is only keeping him around so that he'll be available to the Prosecutors for the next trial. After that he's for sure going before a Military Court Marshall Board.
Before you rip him a new one she's entitled to a defense or she walks. Necessary evil. It's painful and offensive to the family but required. Yes he appears to not be doing a good job but he doesn't have a legal leg to stand on. Tyrone's family will always hold kemia responsible because she brought this man into her marriage regardless of whether she's guilty or not. If he was acting alone how did he know where they were spending the holidays and the address.
Good try attorney but it was more than her knowing she actually gave the when the wheres an a address that boy would not have been able to kill him if she did not tell him where he would be when and at what time all planning aside if he didnt know where to go on game day then he wouldnt have played ..
Wow. Hey defense attorney is totally incompetent. He keeps trying to throw Hamilton into the scenario, but he needs to focus on his client. He's doing an awful job.
Although his defense wasn’t bad, let’s talk about the things he didn’t address. His job was to cause reasonable doubt by highlighting certain important facts to question the prosecuting attorneys opinion. Why not address why she transferred money into her side dudes account immediately after receiving the first 100,000 of insurance money? Why not address without being coerced why she voluntarily talked about the numerous times they planned to kill her husband before they actually did but the others opportunities were failures? Why not address how she admitted to calling her lover to come and kill her husband the day he actually did after he left to go back home because he felt he wouldn’t have the chance? Why not address the fact that he knew exactly where to find her husband by her own admittance because she gave him the address? Why not address her google search recovered 4 days after her husbands death? Reason being is because they bring about clear doubt. These are topics that in no way could easily be debated or defended. He knows she’s guilty but his job is to offer her the resolution she choose to fight for fairly. The Devil’s advocate indeed!
I just watched Cuellar confess to Hassel's Father... I wish she could AT LEAST be 1/2 the person that Cuellar is... HASSEL Jr is a REAL MAN and I'm SO GLAD that he will have a place in "Chunk's " life... I wish Ty 3 could B there 2!!!
This defense lawyer has nothing to work with... not sure how these lawyers can sleep at night knowing their client is guilty as sin. She needs to go to prison for 40 years min. Poor chunk
Ms Hassel could have told us why she deleted her Snapchat. At least a few of the "hundreds" of reasons. Defense lawyers have a difficult job. Try to blame as many others as possible. What happens in Korea stays in Korea!
@@geoffpoole483 His goose was already cooked. You are right but don't forget James Scandorito ! Ms. Hassles only chance was to try and explain. Didn't she remember when she was being interviewed by detectives : name, rank and serial number?
No matter what her defense attorney say or do they key point to this case is that she confessed to everything. So anything he’s saying really is a waste of breath. Not saying he’s a bad attorney but she messed her self up. So of course try and get Hamilton locked up as well because she’s about to get the book thrown at her. Which I believe Hamilton should also go to jail no matter what he knew about the plan to murder since day 1.
I don’t know this case very well at all!! But this is a very strong closing argument by the defense lawyer!! The Defense lawyer definitely raised reasonable doubt in my opinion
Hamilton & Cuellar wasn't pillow talking like Kemia was so there is no way that she didn't take him seriously. If she didn't take him serious she wouldn't have told him to turn around and come back. Hamilton knew his friend to always be talking BS so why would he believe him? Clearly, there were other instances when he said stuff and never came thru. BTW when Hamilton was trying to explain why she didn't want anyone to know about the affair - They are in the ARMY and everyone falls under the UCMJ. Adultery - Punitive discharge, forfeiture of all pay & allowances and confinement for up to 1yr can be given that is why she didn't want anyone to know that's for sure. But everyone did know, even her husband but the Army is so laxy-dazy about stuff like that and its common and people rarely get in trouble for it unless its something attached to it like a HOMICIDE of a spouse. SHE IS TRASH for what she did. All for the OKEY DOKE and messed up her son's life. Poor father said he was mourning for her. God Bless him. They need to not let this gurl see the light of day ever again.
That’s what I kept wondering, wouldn’t her husband have known about so much infidelity? And what caused him to decide to stay and work things out with her?🕊
So-I guess he didn’t present a case (not that he would have a strong one)? All I see is the case goes from state’s case, state’s closing, and then defense’s closing. Not even 1 character witness was called for her??? Scary!!!
You talk a good game but at the end of the day she had a lot to do with it she had the plot to kill her husband and she admitted to it because there's guilt dude didn't make a change of statement
If a detective leaned forward in his seat I would confess to anything. But I don't like parrots! Once I didn't get out in front and I fell behind. This defense is dumb but what else has this lawyer got? Those detectives tricked her when she was sleepy!

I am constantly reminded by the phone call to the mother. I am also reminded about the insurance money.
Good defense attorney. I liked his style.
He is really good.
very good closing but she is GUILTY

There’s a difference between ‘knowing’ and being a ‘willing participant’ counsel.
Failing to report a crime is a crime. Plotting to kill someone is a crime.
Very good defense closing argument . Professional and impressive !!!!!
I could not agree more. Well spoken, didn't yell and courteous. What a standout compared to most folks drama.

Did we watch the same closing? He tried but had nothing to back it up. She confessed on video and audio. Case closed.

Strange how defense attorneys ALWAYS accuse investigators of twisting the truth, lying, etc.....yet that is exactly what defense attorneys do.
In his defense, he did not really have anything to work with. He seems like a very good attorney, but she confessed on tape.

He did what he was supposed to do. Systematic dissect each witness, piece of evidence, statement, and action.
