I really have no clue what this case is doing in trial? This case is ideal for a plea deal. The amount of resources (time and money) spent here ans in future (appeals) is just lost. If the prosecutor doesnt go for the death penalty, he has no reason to he here in trial. Could he not make a plea deal under threat of going for capital murder!? And even then... give the defendant a plea deal for a sentence where she would be eligible for parole as of her having an age of 80 years, wouldnt that be enough? After the age of 80, we wouldnt want to spend money on incarcerating her anyway, What can she still do at an age of 80?

I really have no clue what this case is doing in trial? This case is ideal for a plea deal. The amount of resources (time and money) spent here ans in future (appeals) is just lost. If the prosecutor doesnt go for the death penalty, he has no reason to he here in trial.
Could he not make a plea deal under threat of going for capital murder!? And even then... give the defendant a plea deal for a sentence where she would be eligible for parole as of her having an age of 80 years, wouldnt that be enough? After the age of 80, we wouldnt want to spend money on incarcerating her anyway, What can she still do at an age of 80?

@Mad Mack 10 G defendants in a criminal case rarely take the stand. She pled not guilty so there had to b a trial. If she took a deal she would have to plead guilty.
