    This has to be one of the funniest wins of all time. They just had to win legitamately the very race after they cheated, sort of making the whole thing immediately pointless.

    Well Singapore was well documented but this 2nd win Alonso chalked up in 2008 was simply to the undeniable class of the double world champion which he still shows to this very day in his comeback F1 season and the R28 simply being the best package on track once he jumped Kubica in the first round of pit stops he was never headed and to back up how good the R28 was that Piquet who started 12th finished 4th.

      I’d like to see Fuji back but not to replace suzuka I think such an important country in terms of motorsport like Japan deserve two GPs on the calendar. And especially the fans from Japan, they are truly the best fans far above the tifosi.

      @@mindujiman Agreed, he's really good in a car up front but as soon as he needs to fight his way through a field and doesn't have a massive pace advantage his racecraft isn't the best. This is what makes Alonso imo the best of all time, his entire 2012 season consisted of needing to carve his way through the field and he did so without mistakes.

    • @kakmaster6945
      @kakmaster6945 Před 11 měsíci +9

      @pe-peron8441 Hamilton tied on points with Alonso who on one of his "worst seasons" so to speak still tied with Lewis Hamilton who had a seasons worth of practice in the car, more than Fernando, superior strategies past the first 4 races, a team that was openly against him and yet despite this he still tied on points. I acknowledge Hamilton is a very good driver but I think he "outperformed" in his rookie season mainly because Fernando had multiple factors against him. If you watch the early 2010s, notably 2012 you see that overall Fernando is a better driver. Hell, even right now, with a superior age, Alonso imo is slightly edging Hamiltons performance this season. Both amazing drivers, but Fernando is slightly better.

      @@kakmaster6945Very true! Some dummies always try to bring up that same argument to “show” how a rookie tied in points against a former double WC. The same dummies also forget Hamilton was heavily favored by McLaren to win (even Ron Dennis admitted it) and everything blew up in Hungary. It’s okay to be a bit misinformed but not to be delusional too
