Don't think we'll ever see a newcomer like Hamilton again. Absolutely incredible first two years in the sport, when many were worried he'd get crushed by Alonso in his first year.
@Awesomeness Verstappen's first two years aren't on the same level as Hamilton's. That's understandable given the fact that he was promoted to F1 when he was 17 (!), but what Hamilton did in his first two seasons is legendary.

@@hudsonm360 Yes absolutly hes one of the greatest f1 driver we will ever see! IN this Clip u can see why!
At the time, he was nominated with the number 22 at the time (drivers were given numbers based on the position of the constructors at the time. 13 was not given because in European countries it is seen as supersticious, but the Maldonator rejected social norms and raced with it anyway when drivers could choose numbers). I still don’t think that Hamilton move on Kimi was worth the 25 second penalty. Massa eventually won because of it.
Max did this at Saudi Arabia and got 0 penalty
The problem was, at that time, a 25-second penalty was the minimum charge. It was very unfortunate for Hamilton, and a stroke of luck for Massa, who also had some serious bad luck that season. Hungary and Singapore are soul-destroying moments.
That was a bullshit penalty. He was forced wide and still let Kimi past and overtook on the opposite side.

I supported Verstappen last year as I got tired seeing Hamilton win consecutively. But deep down you start to notice he is the most skillful driver and deserves the success. In recent history the other world champions like Raikonnen, Vettel, Alonso struggled in wet conditions. But Hamilton is in a different level in these conditions.
Start to notice? Anyone who’s been watching F1 for years knows Lewis is one of the most complete drivers on the grid
@nata zeze Such a dumb comment. lol
2007, he wasn't even the #1 driver starting at McLaren as that was Alonso. All the mechanics wanted to work with Alonso. Ron Dennis told Hamilton not to be upset because he expected Alonso to be quicker. We all know how that season turned out. Especially going against Kimi and Massa, all seasoned drivers and basically outperformed them.
2008 was a similar story but the Ferrari's were quicker and Ham had no support from his 2nd driver and won the championship in the 2nd fastest car.
2009, He had a garbage car and still picked up 2 wins and a few podiums while his teammate was nowhere to be seen near there.
2010 was another one of his best seasons, but the car wasn't quite there.
2011 was one of his worst seasons but was still the only driver on the grid besides a RB to get a pole position and still managed to pick up 3 wins.
2012, he was championship bound but his car was garbage with 6 DNFs and other issues that knocked him out the lead of races. We would have won 2012 WDC
2014-2021 speak for themselves. Won in 2018 with the 2nd quickest car yet again and potentially also in 2021 and basically had to get robbed to make him lose. lol
Haters would make up any bs to discredit him. lol
Imo Alonso has improved massively in mixed conditions compared to his previous seasons.
Alonso in wet top tier imo.
My favorite race finish in F1 history
Crazy that this victory got taken away from Hamilton. Even more crazy that no safety car / red flag for Raikkonen's stricken Ferrari, sitting on the side of the track at the exit of a high speed corner, one wheel even over the white line. Was also heart breaking that Bourdais missed out on a podium in what was probably his strongest weekend in F1. He outshone future 4 time World Champion and Red Bull golden ball Sebastian Vettel at "the drivers track." Bourdais was horribly treated by Marko et al and deserved a better chance in F1.
lol vettel had at the end of the season more than 8-times the points as bourdais
I miss this Formula 1.
Amazing action!!!!
I loved this race! Notice how twitchy the Cars are, and they look quicker than the new cars even though they’re not.

Crazy how it was only yellow flags for Kimis crash
Indeed pretty dangerous, but these were the good old days, when they trusted the Driver to respect yellow flags even under difficult conditions. While nowadays, they bring the VSC oder even SC if a car just parks at a safe spot.
Both extremes are a bit ridiculus, in my opinon.
On the other hand, maybe they thought it was too late to bring an effective saftey car anyway (it was almost last lap, they didn't have the Delta Time in 2008, means cars didn't have to slow down under saftey car), so the only other choice they had than local yellow was to red flag on final lap, which would have seemed ridiculus at that time and also would have Made Räikkönen the winner despite he would have caused the red flag
@@philippderbauer ‘good old days’ they weren’t good, they led to the death of Jules Bianchi
@@TheBroz Different generation of drivers who didn't (and still don't) give a hoot about respecting the rules (i.e. yellow flags). Bianchi himself was *speeding* under yellow so... Just like almost anyone else then but he paid the price. *"Play stupid games, win stupid prices"*
Bianchi wasn't as innocent as everyone makes it seem to have been.
Fact is that today's generation (as of 2021), they have even less respect for the rules than back in 2014... It's just a matter of time before someone else suffers a similar situation. Driving standards in modern F1 are nonexistent.
