Love the Big Dan show! Unfortunately experience can't be bought. Everyone has to learn some time... #1 Mistake is backing the trailer down in to far. Keep the fenders at water level and look at the motor and make sure its straight before powering up on the bunks. Be safe and patient! Nobody was born an expert.

16:50 it amazes me how many people put themselves in pinch points with docks and trucks etc. Captains arm slips and hammers down the throttle, and ole boy in blue is gonna have a bad day

There should be a Gel coat, Engine Repair, Trailer Repair and vehicle rust proofing shop at the end of this boat ramp!

The comment at 2:00 min about an up north trailer. Here in Pa. we have trailers like that and people can't back them up either or load their boats any better than southern folks. Sometimes it may even be worse.

Ol’ man at 30 minutes was giving me heart palpitations. Thought he was going to end up being nothing more than a smear on the side of the dock. Not to mention the constant pulling forward and backing up.

As a seadoo owner I can tell you it does take some practice dealing with a trailer you can barely see but it is most definitely not impossible to handle. Some people really need to set up some cones and practice before the go to these high traffic boat ramps

@@TheBigDanShow bc up here in Birmingham we don’t have a whole lot of areas where you are this stacked when launching and loading but I can assure people will watch and see how well you handle you’re rig

Exactly why I don't own boats anymore. Live near Destin area. Way too many people and so many that don't have a clue what they are doing. It just ain't fun anymore. I enjoy watching your videos way more than ever own a boat again! haha

Seeing all of those boats reminded me of the time I saw Lake Union (WA) so full of boats, sailboats couldn't use their sails and looked as though a person could go from boat to boat across the lake? ;-)
I had a concept of an amphibious Land & Sea - SeaCabin houseboat and I keep imagining the shock people would have seeing it drive up a boat ramp with the driver at the upper helm? ;-D

@@TheBigDanShow I'm in Utah. Center consoles are rare, never seen one and pontoons are a rare too. Maybe just the size. We are a lake state, not an ocean fishing state. Its early here, but I have see maybe a dozen ski boats and one pontoon.

You are correct, that pantoon trailer is an up north thing unfortunately. People in my parts use those. Those things can easily tip over.

You need extra batteries for that drone. There is a boat ramp at a lake near Dallas, TX that is this busy on weekends. I hated to launch there. I had a 17' Sea Ray with a very good trailer which seemed all most self loading. I had a small sailboat that was so light weight any wind would make it hell to load it on its trailer.

Odd trailer is marina pontoon transport trailer. its raises and lowers hydraulic or winch and can set or pick up a pontoon off the ground in the marina yard. Pretty common here in Ohio, not really designed for highway travel, but that never stops anyone.

It’s a pontoon trailer.we see them in Wisconsin quite a bit. They’re great for shallow launches as they go under the center of the boat not under the pontoons

Before people trailer, launch, enjoy and then recover a boat, there should be a mandatory licensing course. The same as there is for driving. Some folk do not deserve to enjoy a boat. They can put others in harms way and just totally piss people off. Now we have ""boat rage"".

@7:47 People always give boaters crap about using fenders. But, the fenders protect YOUR boat from INCONSIDERATE boaters who throw a big wake through a no wake zone. Smashed fingers and gouged Gelcoats is not worth it. Example: Been boating since I was 11. Now 47. I was ridiculed in Charleston for using my 5 fenders at the dock on my 24' boat in an area known for inconsiderate boaters throwing wake. While getting my trailer, a 28 ft boat threw a huge wake through a no wake zone. Boats slammed against the pier with wives / children / husbands / crew trying to protect the boats from hitting the dock. A smashed finger and lots of mad people furious about scratched up Gel coats from one inconsiderate boater. My 24' with 5fenders was well protected. My wife and I knew the fenders would do their job, and let the fenders do their job. Laugh at me all you want, but I didn't have hundreds / thousands of $ on gelcoat damage to my boat, nor did I have to worry about the inconsiderate boater.

I only keep 4, it gives me valid reason to not have more than four people in my 20’ bayboat.
Marine patrol could make a killing checking for life vests right there without having a boat.
And personally I’m okay with safety concerns, not to mention boats rated capacity in persons.
Mine says 7 on data placard, but 4 is my personal limit.

Was running hot on an EMM alarm last outing in her 4 weeks ago ( from Bon Secour River launch- first time then in almost 6 years).
Anyhow I need to stretch her out to sustained rpm’s to see what her temperature goes to.
My tub test at home showed a strong and thick telltale, unlike 4 weeks ago when I had a telltale but not a very strong and thick one.
I have the NLM motor ( no longer made) Evinrude G2. Somewhat common for heating issues.
