- This Driveshaft Mod for Competition Hop Builds will improve the Hop action on any of these Redcat Lowrider Hop Builds. The idea is to have the RC act as if its in neutral freewheeling as a full scale lowrider does when in a hop comp. This not only gives a more realistic hop action but helps to improve how the hop switch hit.

Jevries sure is Godfather of this game, end of the day the 64 is Jevries core design. TBF we all friends and Chris worked on the mod with Jevries co-signing it and continues to do the mod on his own lowriders plus promoting the mod himself. We lost Chris early in the Redcat game and he was one of the OG Hopsters, we fixed his name to this mod as a tribute to the friend we lost. Man Flip would of loved to see how far the scene has come with the Cali show last weekend.

Wondering if you could help me out i put the 1.75 servo horn in the rear. Would you know what kind or length of drive shaft i need to do the flip drive shaft cause my drive shaft pops out of one another. Thank you in advance an keep up the great work.

Thats just a Kandy and chrome decal, but Skunks Kustoms sells axle brace print and can just chrome vinyl it
@@NorthSideCustomRC that's what I have been wondering but then I thought having to just a sticker hang down seems stupid. I do have the full Kandy & Chrome decal kit but was just looking for a brace. Thanks for the info! 👍

@@NorthSideCustomRC my problem right now is finding some True 13's I have a Kandy & Chrome paint job pre ordered and everything else is ready but who knows when the wheels will be back in stock.
Ive always thought about doing this mod but I always just turn my wheels a little bit; which I can lock, and make it bounce to either direction!

I do a scale shock mod to give them the look and function with internal springs. Check out scale shock mod video
How can I do this mod to a Monte Carlo?
With how the Monte drive shaft articulates its not feasible. Some have done it 2 ways. First by relocating transmission and motor further back and using 64 style drive shaft. Others have added a drive shaft coupler to be fixed further back where the 64 drive shaft would mount and run 2nd drive shaft tranny to coupler. Both high amounts of custom work n parts
@@NorthSideCustomRC If I mount motor and transmission further back and use the 64 short driveshaft I won't be able to use interior right cause the motor will sit higher ? For the coupler mod do you know where I could find coupler? Thanks for reply!
@CPT Eddie Ttype I'm not 100% on coupler, I think it came from Cen F450 but not 100%
Lotta guys move tranny back they all still have interiors. It's been done a few ways but mainly right in front where links mount
