    I bought this exact same Tahoe Premier a month ago, except mine has the 6.2 liter engine. This is the best of all the reviews I have watched. Precise and interesting. Couple of comments re my experiences. This truck is super easy and nice to drive. My only regret is it doesn't have surround cameras. The 6.2 liter V8 is awesome. Tons of power and around the same gas consumption as the 5.3. I believe the 6.2 is similar to the Corvette engine but without the turbo. Awesome truck!

    • @703Speed
      @703Speed  Před rokem +2

      Thank you! The 360 camera system is definitely great and almost like a must have option (not actually but you see what I'm saying). 6.2 def better, and very similar to Corvette/Camaro motors. Congrats on your new vehicle, I hope it lasts you a long time

    Quad Exhaust is standard only for Premier and HC……trims. All others require the 6.2 liter engine…. If you do have the 5.3 there is a optional performance exhaust which basically turns the single exhaust into slightly modified normal 5.3 exhaust but exit is to RH side behind rear wheel!
    I agree Premier is the way to go….if your going to load out a Premier, especially 6.2….not much more$$& to step up into High Country.

    • @703Speed
      @703Speed  Před rokem +1

      True, but not everyone is going to like all the High Country things that make a HC a HC.

    This is the first time I have ever watched a car review and noticed the reviewer driving in my own neighborhood. 🤣 I always gauge the parking ability on how good or bad a vehicle can park in the Home Depot lot in Reston. That lot is a sardine can.

      Haha that’s funny.. I’ll have to check it out

  • @stephencannon3140
    @stephencannon3140 Před rokem +2

    After owning for a few months I can provide some long term cheers and geers.
    Jeers: Some minor ergonomic issues. Obviously not deal breakers but something to note.
    1. No Fog Lights…..that fancy aerodynamic vent ahead of the front wheels, is a perfect spot to mount fog lights…..even as dealer installed accessory. Trust me that vent doesn’t make that much of a difference in brake venting, especially with most modern vehicles having vented front disc brakes.
    Clock: interior clock display on the infotainment screen is not very good, especially for driver. I find myself having to crane and lean my neck over to read. If nothing else make that a customer screen display option. Very bad contrast on the upper display banner. White text on grey background or other way around but you get the idea. Should be darker background to provide more contrast. Problem is not just this vehicle but a overall trend of developers and IVT not having communication or even worse basic common sense. Yes display can be moved to the instrument cluster but shouldn’t have to.
    Overall bad lack of contrasting background lighting….even more critical systems like fuel, coolant temperature gauges ….again you get the idea.
    2. 2nd row seats. Allows you to use the third row to set to lie flat….no power to raise.
    3. Sliding center console…..the control switch is not only above the console but again very bad background lighting and no markings….a learning curve to figure out where swill control switch is.
    4. Center Console……two jeers here…A…no damper or counter weight so if opening on a downward slope the upper compartment panel just slams back down. B. No center organization tray.
    5. No binder for glove compartment manuals….$60K and up and barely a Ziplock bag to store owners manual.
    Cheers: Power, even with 5.3 decent power…. Actual MPG difference between the 5.3 and 6.2 is within about 1-2 MPG. The major fuel cost difference for the 6.2 is the 93 octane
    Requirement so figure at least .50 cents a gallon difference between 87-93 Octane.
    Don’t use the child locks and leaving children unattended in vehicle for any time. If your not within arms reach then children should be with you.
    Check Rear Seat Reminder……a good step in preventing deaths by forgetting children and pets …..only used if used and not disabled.
    Two new good options for MY2023.
    There is a new grille option for Premier and possibly all models. Black grille with two options. One. Stamped Chevrolet across grille or 2. More grille options. I wound up using a RST blackout accent grille. Option 1 removes the grille logo.
    Since 2021 Premier and above trim levels have 2nd row Bucket seats. Bench is actually part of option package.
    Part two 2021 and High Country trims have the dual/dual exhaust on all engines except the 3.0 Duramax.
    MY 2021 have 6.2 as standard engine with the only option being the 3.0!Duramax.
    2022 started the 6.2 option on RST/Z71/Premier trim levels.
    The sunglass compartment by the glove compartment is exactly that. A pair of low profile sunglasses…..(without the case) and that’s about it. Possibly a cell phone but again most likely without the case unless it is a flip phone.
    Also having a decent road trip I can say definitely a good touring vehicle. Decent MPG for what it is and know that it is a almost 7000 lb rolling living room. Very good application of interior noise damping, and car like touring suspension even though built on a truck platform. Visibility great, easy to maneuver and still keep control. I haven’t had a chance to fully test out the 4WD system….fortunately but the time I needed the 2A (Auto) worked fine.

    Great video! Dying to get the Suburban XLT, but it’s too long for my garage. This or the Yukon will fit just fine. I love all the tech that comes with it, though I’m surprised adaptive cruise doesn’t come on all trim levels. There is no way I will take a brand new vehicle off the lot these days without adaptive cruise.
    Just a side note: while leasing is known as the worst way to finance a new vehicle, my experience has been that, in light of reliability issues, it’s the best way to find out if the vehicle is going to be reliable enough for you before you commit long term. If there are too many issues within the first 3 years, it’s far easier to exchange vehicles at the end of a lease than to do a trade-in after you’ve purchased it. Leasing is not for everyone. Just something to consider for those considering the purchase of a higher end vehicle.

    I made a mistake…had a 2021 Premier almost fully loaded….Midnight Blue/Jet Black, 5.3 4WD traded for a 2022 Z71 same color scheme/engine. Wanted the Z71 for the more de chromed look…..got freaked out by fuel $$$$…..traded for a 22 JGC L Overland…..four months later found a 23 Premier with pretty much carbon copy of the 21 with two notable exceptions….1 Switched to Ash Gray and……took three tries but got the 6.2.
    Take a dawn/dusk photo to show the Chevy Logo on the lower lift gate kick panel…..
    For those worrying about lift gate clearance with lower garage doors…… the lift gate can be set to open 3/4 with power…..unused that and manually lifted the rest of the way.
    Dark Ash Grey I will admit was my third of three but in stock, no markup and equipment wise again carbon copy of the 21 Premier….I guess I will grow into it.
    Window Privileges….that’s rich…
    Pretty much all 23 Tahoe/Yukon all models will in all likelihood have 2 way power lumbar instead of four.
    Definitely not a Driver Alert Package…(Enhanced). Dead giveaway is to left of steering wheel….Non (DAP-E) will have a credit card slot….DAP-E models will have the HUD controller in that slot.
