Yes, there will always be trials and tribulations in a relationship and especially in a long marriage. I’ve been with my husband for almost 25 years and let me tell you!!! We went through being pregnant for almost 7 years straight, five kids, a granddaughter, many deaths of family and friends, addiction, alcoholism (personally and with family/friends), cheating, jail time, times you want to give up on both sides, surgeries, financial issues, other people trying to get at one of us at any given time, milestones, grief, growing apart and trying to come back together, etc. We aren’t perfect, but, we are here 44 and 43, and chosen to stay together and keep our marriage going. If that doesn’t say our vows, I’m not sure what does. Thank you for helping me see my husband in a different light today. Have a great day guys and anyone else who reads this! I LOVE LA PLATICKITA!!!!!!!!

If your partner needs time to reflect on how they feel about you, you need to give them 3 months, not 3 weeks. Because "la costumbre es mas fuerte que el amor". So of course, 3 weeks later they are going to miss you. So if you want them to be really sure, then you need a little more time. And, in 3 months - it might be you who realizes you don't miss this person at all.

I beg to differ on “grammar errors”. Let me explain, my child’s father would call me stupid for many years while we were together because I did not graduate high school when I was with him and I hated the way that made me feel and it took me years to grow from that after we spilt so now I try my hardest to speak correctly and I feel its a service to help out others when they spell or speak incorrectly only because I knew how I felt and I wouldn’t want anyone feeling that way. Of course kindly help them out. Yes it’s not what you say its how you say it. 😉

Unpopular opinion….. it’s not a break if you see other people during the break, you broke up and dated or slept with other people but saying “let’s take a break” is another way of keeping someone on the back burner while you search for greener pastures.

Naa my three closest friends are English language learners. I’m going to correct them when they spell something wrong or use the wrong word because GROWTH. I need them to correct my Spanish too! I was 24 years old when I found out I was saying zanahoria wrong my whole life. While I was ordering food. I rather my friends correct me than embarrass myself in another situation.
