The 11f1.8 is a BIG deal. idc about IBIS, because honestly the M3 is tiny, and tripods exist. I'd love to see some more smooth UW shots around SEA with it. We did our trip around there in 2019, and got locked down in Japan finally for 8 months. It was a great experience, so I'm living vicariously through your travels now.

Don't use active steadyshot on ZV-e10, the good way is stabilization in catalyst afterwards, smoother, less crop, fixed rolling shutter problem
Me, an absolute beginner in photography pretending to identify with the hype radiating from Jason in this video: oh yeah that is some crazy lenses It is really nice seeing someone so passionate. Have a good break
I recently jumped from sigma 16mm to sony 15mm for my a6700. After 6 years of using the sigma and sticking with it for its sharp excellent quality, the lighter weight and smaller form factor of the sony won me over. I agree with the point in the review that sony 15mm might be a good consideration if you own neither, unless budget is a huge concern
I am pleased Sony has released these lenses. Also the combination of these lenses on the Sony A74 and Phantom luts will turn the Sony A74 into your own 10 bit Alexa 35 camera when filming with the above mentioned lenses
Jason, thanks for showing the performance of the 10-20mm F4 PZ on FF camera. I literally watched a dozen other reviews that did not do this comparison! Keep up with your great and meaningful content!
Compared to the 11mm 1.8 and 15mm 1.4. What would be a great lens for taking general scenery and maybe like the stars in the desert or flowers in a field and maybe some portraits? I like the 1.4 since maybe can be night scenes quite well but not sure if the 10-20mm better since it offers more coverage.
The 11mm and 15mm primes are interesting. I think I will stick with the Tamron 1120 due to the F2.8. Would love to see the 15mm compared to the Sigma 16, both at F1.4. The size and weight saving would be attractive.
Canon 10-22mm with Metabones still in my a6400 for years, and it's been a holy grail for me even without OSS. All to be said, this is like a dream come true for wide-style. APS-C still rocks! Thank you Sony!
I tried crane m3. Arm too short. Can't balance with a 375g prime lens. Returned it. IMO, Iphone with cinematic mode can achieve similar blurring backgrounds.
Which these lenses do you suggest for indoor real estate videography in a noisy situation with Sony ZV-E10 camera ? Sony 11mm f.1/8 or 10-20mm Samyang 12mm Rokinon 12mm Tamron 11-20mm
For Sony zve-10 which one would be a better choice Sony 15mm 1.4 or 11mm 1.8? I have Sony 50mm F1.8 OSS lens, looking for a wide angle lens with good aperture and sharpness. So that I can get good landscapes and potraits with a single lens.
Awesome content and has really taught me a lot as a true beginner here! Diving into videography for my real estate business and wonder which set up you'd recommend for simplicity yet a great finished product. After some research I have been leaning towards the Sony ZV-E10. I'd be using this for creating content in indoor studio and also video walkthroughs of home tours. Would the ZV-E10 with the 1mm f/1.8 be a good set up for my needs? Or what would you recommend?
what are your thoughts on Sony 10-20mm vs Tamron 11-20mm F2.8 ? I'm confused as to which to buy between these; truly value your opinion and expertise. Can you please give your insight on which you would recommend for real estate photography and videos? Thanks!
I got the F1.8 11mm for video vlogging last night and HATED it.I sent it back today. I have a crane M3 and the 10-18 OSS but I think since I have. I can see the 11mm nice for gimbal travel walking, but I want to vlog when I do that so the 15mm won for me since I will not be using stabilization crop using a6600 vs E10. Since I have GAS I am going to try the G 10-20 and get the better quality and lighter gimbal work.
what did you hate about the 11mm for vlogging? debating between the 11mm and the 15mm and I have a feeling I'm going to hate the 11mm for vlogging too idk if the 15mm will feel too cramped to vlog myself with
Awesome video! So upbeat and I love the locations. Nice lenses, I'll get the 11mm. What I really want is a new high end APS-C camera body with IBIS to replace my old a6400.
Wow that enthusiastic intro!! That's how you sound exactly throughout when we were shooting around Singapore. Extremely proud to be part of Vong team momentarily to help with this review! Let us know again when you drop by Singapore. Cheers!
I think my dream APSC kit for my a6400 will be the 56mm f1.4 sigma, the 18-50mm f2.8 sigma, and this new 11mm f1.8 sony! Currently have 56mm and tamron 17-70 but I rarely feel like taking my a6400 and tamron bc the lens is so bulky :(
I totally support that message! The Sigma 18-50 already killed off my Sony 35mm f1.8 OSS, and the new Sony 11mm will make the 12mm Samyang MF and Sigma 16mm f1.4 obsolete, too. The Sigma 56mm f1.4 is the prime APS-C prime!
Hey Jason! Hope you're having a great day. Wanted to let you know that your videos are my go to on photography, even if I know about the things you talk about I just really like how you present things. My partner now knows who you and Vivienne are 😅 he asks if I'm watching Jason. I wondered if you'd be interested in making a video on the financial side of travel and youtube? Like a how to/pros and cons as you've been doing it for a while now! I loved your and Professor Hines street photography guide, appreciate the length and quality- I hope your sponsors are paying attention to the positive reaction :)
late to the show, but my main vlog lens on my a7siii is currently the 11mm. Great size lens. With active stabilization (1.1x crop) and clearImage zoom at 1.4x, I can avoid vignette and IBISVignette. Been working well for me there. Just in terms of stills, its not the best heh, but since im mainly video, the 11mm has served me well for size. My 14mm GM is a bit bigger, and it cant fit front filters, so now its just sitting in the bag.
Great looking video. The bed frame backdrop works perfectly, and the on location shots are gorgeous. I’d love a video in a few months about the experience of doing reviews while traveling this extensively.
thank you! i too been loving the different backgrounds I have for my recent videos! Ofc, it's challenging when some of the rooms are a bit bland. But yeah I'd love to do a video talking about this soon! 😁
Jason, this video is informative, entertaining, nice looking, and tightly produced. You are doing a lot of things VERY well. You look relaxed and laser-focused. I hope you've finally found your way.
Thank you! I don’t wanna make a boring video that I would not want to watch either. Most of it is also talking about what excites me which makes making these videos easy! Glad to hear you enjoy it
hey i'm thinking or buying tamron 18-300mm 3.5 lens for distant and normal photography as well as sony 1.8 11mm for wide angle photography. should i go for these two or there is any other criteria i should consider i'm a beginner
Trying to pick between Sony 10-18mm F/4 OSS (v1) or the Sony Zeiss 16-70mm f/4 OSS for my a6400, thoughts? Currently I own the (full frame) Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art, but looking to something wider and more compact.
I love my 10-18 but I've bought a bunch of new Sony lenses and I feel like the 10-18 is really underperforming in sharpness so it's only useful for video. I hope these new ones are A LOT sharper.
Hi! A newbie question about lenses. I have the Sony ZV-E10 and I need a wide lens that won’t be a fish-eye lens. Maybe an 11mm or so. How can you tell if a wide or super wide lens is a fish-eye lens? When you go down to 10mm or so, is there necessarily a fish-eye effect? How can I tell that a lens is “normal” (no distortion around the edges)?
@@JasonVong the Sony aps-c sleepin dog just woke up! I LOVE IT when Sony releases new lenses, just love it! I also love me some Jason Vong videos - fun, entertaining, informative and just plain cool! Thank you Jason.
The best thing you can do is buy all the premium OEM primes for the largest sensor you will ever want to shoot with. It'll be expensive but you'll never have to spend any time or energy dreaming (watching/reading reviews, looking at sample photos) of lesser/budget options. It may save you hundreds if not thousands of hours of your time, which may be worth a lot more than the price of the lenses.

Woah! Just when I thought Sony abandoned aps-c, Sony revitalizes it with a set of lenses! Let's hope Sony releases a new body in the near future
You thought they woudn't?
They literally just launched the zve10 less than a year ago
Come on, man...
You surely a 6500/6600 user, right?
Only whats missing from this ZV 10 its 60fps suport. We already have HDR HLG .
Not every1 need to spend tons of € for a7 iii or iv or FX3

sigma 18-50
The VO during the intro had me laughing hard, love the energy! Loved hearing your thoughts on these new lens, that 11mm is looking cleannn 💯✔️🔥
it had my attention the most the whole time I was testing out these lenses. Might actually pick one up for a dedicated vlog lens!

Hi friend. DO YOU RECOMMEND THE SONY 11MM F1.8 FOR VIDEOGRAPHY .? THANKS 😊
Which these lenses do you suggest for indoor real estate videography in a noisy situation with Sony ZV-E10 camera ?
Sony 11mm f.1/8 or 10-20mm
Samyang 12mm
Rokinon 12mm
Tamron 11-20mm
Hi Jason. Have you tried any of these on the A7IV? figured it would also compensate for that 4k60 crop but idk
I would like to see you compare the 11mm and the Samyang AF 12mm both light and small
That 11mm sounds like a bang up deal for wide angle video shots
it's like lopans voice doing the voice over 😂

Id definitely be excited to see a comparison between the 15mm sony and 16mm sigma. the 15mm is the one that tempts me the most
Spolier alert: Sigma will crush all equal them - and that at LOWER price ;-)

Great overall video! That 11mm looks very good!

The problem with the 10-18 is quality. Both build & pic. Mine is utter crap, no good no where...
I am more excited about the Sigma 16-28mm f/2.8. I could use it on my APS-C Sony, and carry over that lens when I upgrade to a full frame body.
Could we have grams for weight?
My favorite lens for youtube video in ef 17-40 f/4. But for photos 24-104 f/4😎👍

😂 im putting together my own SFX library
I would really like to see a comparison between Samyang 12mm f2 AF, which I currently own vs Sony 11mm f1.8. Please do a comparison, thank you 🙏🏽
I bought a wide angle lens from Kase, it's cheap and easy to bring!
Some other video with same three lenses popped few min ago.. then yours.. so i switched immediately 😊
you're too kind!

Does the 10-20mm fix the issue of being able to see the edges of an ND filter at the widest edge of the zoom, like what we have with the 10-18?
Such an astute question!
what lense would you recommend for fitness videos and maybe some food photos / videos
What lens would you recommend for macro video photography on the ZV-E10?
help! which one ?? Sony 11mm 1.8 vs 15mm 1.4 G with a6000 for Real Estate, sunrise/sunset and CZcams
Need an updated 6xxx body with stabilization and bird eye focus.
Does the rear element move during focus or zoom in the Sony E PZ 10-20mm F4 G lens?
I was thinking about buying Sigma 16mm f1.4, but now Sony 15mm f1.4 G is out. cant wait to see the compare vid

Welcome to Singapore~
Hello.. Please, which one is better for the zve-10 camera.. for shooting a fluke.. and it is ideal to prevent vibration❤❤
How do they compare to the 3 adorable full frame 49ers? I put those in my pocket. I know you liked them.
The only comparable ones would be the 24 / 15mm. Aside from that, the 11 and 10-20 are much wider.
Where can I buy in the UK? 😢
Hi Jason, can you make a video on video editing, what do you use and some sort of tutorial?
which lens would be better to shoot in a club with lowlight?
sony needs to bring out bigger focal lengths now to like 85mm 1.8 for apsc
Curious about how big are the image circles of these lenses and their potential to use on full frame
i was already thinking that
Although with the a7 IV since you already use crop mode for 4k60 it'd be pretty sweet to use the 10-20mm since its a small wide constant aperture
and it'd be equivalent to like 15-30 or so which is still great
clear image zoom doesnt get you out of vignetting?
you text me on Instagram
The ZV E10 has catalyst browse software to combat the lack of OSS Jason. :)
yep but unfortunately not many people are willing to crunch through all their files through another app just to begin editing.
Excellent video Jason! Always love your content! I currently have the Sony 20mm wide angle pancake lens, can someone explain why I might be interested in any of these over what I currently use for wide shots?
WOW definately need to pick up that 11 and 15!
Do they work on full frame ? i know there will be crop but do they work ?
Does Sony make any lenses to adapt to the ZV-1? Great camera but need lenses
