  • How much has the farmer been paid? Asking a simple question makes an impact - an impact for the coffee farmer.
When you visit a Coffee Collective shop and enjoy a good cup of coffee, you also make a difference for the farmer-a difference that enables them to continue producing high-quality coffee in an industry where the market is otherwise broken.
To ensure a steady and predictable income for the coffee farmers, Coffee Collective always purchase coffee through close negotiation with the farmers, so their livelihood is not dependent on a fluctuant and unreliable market price.
This is where our term, Quality Bonus comes into play.
In short, the Quality Bonus is what we pay ABOVE the market price to recognize the high quality of the coffee.
Every time you choose Coffee Collective, you can see exactly what has been paid to the farmer.
Thank you for taking the time to engage with this matter. If you wish to gain more information on how much the farmer has been paid, we have just published the 7th edition of our Transparency Report, where we lay all the numbers out on the table.

5.38 usd per pound = 84 dkk per kg.
Assuming 16 gram dose = 1.34 dkk per serving (twice that if 32 gram dose).
    Share of final price (50 dkk) = 2.68 % (or 5.36 % if 32 gram dose).
    Is that calculation correct?
