The dumbest question Shady has ever asked is what does the Head Coach have to do with the defense. Siriani literally relocated Sean Desai to the box and put Matt Patrica in charge and because of that he lost the locker room and it reflected their play on the field. He also made ZERO adjustments all year to make this offense better or make this team prepared to play down the stretch. A collapse like this is absolutely on the HC and to defend him is just being in your feelings.

he shouldve taken over calling duties for offence imo. his experience in coaching is all offence spots ranging from QB,WR even OC. most brand new HC don't have the success he's had, i think tryna find a new guy isn't it. just the team (coaches) around him definitely arent geling well. eagles fan know that theyve had problems since week 5~ that never got adjusted, winning just had a blindfold on most. they lack big leaders off&on field for both sides of the ball, hurts is great but he's to stoic for that role hence receivers end of the year started to turn on him
when i think about pregame hype up its a huddle w/ players in the middle like bdawkins, ray lewic etc. only in the movies do you see the cool pregame speech by a coach. hurts doesn't wear his emotions on his sleeve to take that role that philly needs, they need to invest in one (preferably LB)

Hurts deserves some blame for the season, but to blame him more than Siriani or the coordinators is foolish. The announcers literally explained why everything wasnt working last night. Bad routes, no use of the middle of the field, no hot routes, constant passing instead of running, predictable calls. The fact that our coordinators leaving resulted in this season is a big red flag in the Siriani column. Especially since Siriani is supposed to be an offensive mind.

There’s a picture online of the eagles being blitzed with 5 personnel running all vertical routes with no one looking for the ball. If you think a QB can succeed with that, you’re mistaken.

Listen I’m going to be honest I’m a die-hard Eagles fan and what people don’t realize is that last year Hurts and the Eagles overachieved and have no expectations and he was crowned. Rightfully so, he performed on the biggest stage. But what people didn’t realize is that he was a developing project and the Eagles thought they could rush his development instead of slowly building him.
There’s a photo online going around of the Bucs blitz with a free runner while the Eagles are in 5 personnel all running vertical routes with no one looking for the ball. I watched many analysts and former player break down the film on the Eagles offense. It’s like the Eagles are a coachless team.

I believe in Brock for the record, however I agree to this saying because the 49ers have an offensive mind at head coach thats gone make the game easy for Purdy, eagles got a bad O.C and a head coach thats just a face . Shady way off. Can’t really blame Hurts when his coaches schemes are consistently putting him in losing situations. Bowles continuously blitzed and the coaching saw this and made no adjustments which forced him to make bad throws constantly. It’s not rocket science, if the other team is blitzing maybe stop running double TE sets where neither are used to help block.
Blaming Hurts for having to deal with very bad play calling is wild.. then saying he got exposed when really the scheme was the thing that got exposed is wild as well.. coaches did nothing to help the situation and left him out to dry, then saying he’s not up there with Allen when he’s shown the capability of doing so is just wow… I can tell a lot of people were just waiting for Hurts downfall and were never with him from the start

@@danielclare1426 All of those elite QB’s have excellent play callers. It’s extremely hard to overcome a bad call and scheme. None of them have to deal with that. It’s one thing to make something out of nothing when the play breakdown but it’s another thing to overcome a bad call. It’s like playing Tecmo Bowl and the other team picked the right play to defend against you. It’s darn near impossible to overcome. It’s either sack, fumble, loss of yard or interception

Even though Herbert had the worst defense in the league and one receiver all year and a terrible line with no running game somehow he still made plays and kept them competitive. Hurts has the most stacked team and yet has to have everything working perfectly to make a single play despite having 2 great receivers, the best oline,great running backs, and a stacked defense from last year with Jalen Carter. I think it’s funny former QBs and a former HC has come out and said Hurts played particularly well for what he was asked to do. Lack of separation from WRs, a lot of tight window throws, no real innovation in routes ran. He’s not perfect but he’s definitely not the reason we lost last night but he can only do so much.
He is the reason for multiple losses this season though he’s been turnover prone all year.

Jalen has always been the underdog QB. Allen and the other QBs can have bad games and they are still lauded, but Jalen has to be stellar every game and still gets blasted.

Jalen is a good qb but there have to be answers to the blitz and hot routes built into the offense for him to check to. The issue is that Sirrianni's offense duznt have those things and they expect the o line to block up everything. I wud love to be Jalen's OC because i still love him as a qb

He is the quarterback. Two words at the line you learn in freaking high school. Hot Route. That tells the receiver to run a quick slant or curl or in route to best the blitz. What did Hurts do? NOTHING. Not once. He is a college QB dependent on his running ability. Without his legs he is a poor QB.

When the Eagles was winning last year I rarely heard Nick get credit. Now that they got beat bad it's on the coach. Players not tackling is not coaching its players. Players take majority of the credit when winning but get minimum blame when they lose.
