    I've been trying to decide if I should upgrade my 10 watt to either 20 or 30. This doesn't totally answer the question I was looking for but it does help me a lot. Thanks for the video, it is very helpful despite only partially answering my question (no your fault, it's not what the video was about). Anyway, take care and thanks for the vid :D

    if you change the laser and the power adaptor is the same what will be happen?

      We haven’t tried that, to be honest, but, I don’t think it would be catastrophic, maybe some loss of power?

    Hi, is it easy for you to switch the 10w for a 20w on the machine?

    • @ProjectAnonymous_Duo
      @ProjectAnonymous_Duo  Před 5 měsíci

      Yes, we found it very easy to switch...one plug, one thumbscrew, and changing the power brick. Thanks for watching!

    I don’t understand what the thought process was when they designed the connector for the laser module. I change my module often because I also have the IR module. They don’t last long and I can either rewire or change the whole wire harness. So many really well thought out designs with the D1. But some I really wonder what they were thinking.

      We agree it is not easy to reach the connector. We aren't sure about the longevity yet, but we definitely have to be very careful with it. We have liked the set up so far, but there is always room for improvements. Thanks for watching.

    how can i speed up engraving borders. they take far longer than the actual middle bit im doing. today one piece took 90 minutes the border took 65 minutes of the 90

      The only thing we could suggest is if you haven't already tried, is to create separate layers for those parts, then you can adjust the speed and power. Thanks for watching!

    Have either of you tried something that would use both 10w and 20w?

    • @ProjectAnonymous_Duo
      @ProjectAnonymous_Duo  Před 6 měsíci +1

      We like the 10w for engraving and the 20w for cutting, but we haven't swapped them out for one project yet.

    hi, have you attempted to cut through metal with the 20w? will it cut through metal? i'd like to see a video of that with the results. thanks! 😎

    • @ProjectAnonymous_Duo
      @ProjectAnonymous_Duo  Před 5 měsíci +1

      We have not attempted to cut through metal with the 20w. We will have to do a bit of research on that. We'd imagine if it is at all possible it would have to be extremely thin metal and very low thermal conductivity. As we understand it, a fiber laser is the best for use with metals. We did use our fiber laser in a video we just posted to cut through anodized aluminum if you are interested in checking that out: czcams.com/video/5wybdJ7JXmg/video.html Thanks for the suggestion and for watching!
