I have the same story but from the guys point of view, I was not wanted just my child its the sadest thing in my life and beats physical abuse and other abuses it destroyed me 😢
Heard it first as a small kid-my parents had an excellent taste of music. Later, I heard often in my teens-got me through some hard times and heartbreaks. And here I am a grown woman, and it still touches me.
Absolutely love this💕 This is what you call REAL music. Beautiful lyrics, exceptional vocals from Errol, fantastic harmony from the choir and the orchestrals are sublime.
This is my favourite song of all time. Erroll sings with such passion and sincerity. One of his other hits; "You'll always be a friend" is just so heartwarming. R.IP. Errol.
What a wonderful, heartfelt song. Especially the lyrics. I wish, that each of you has someone or finds someone who can put you together again, if you ever need it. Much Love and bright Blessings to all of you!!! 🎶💖🙏💖🎶
The passing of Errol Brown ~ a real music icon from my childhood. How terribly sad. The world is a sadder place for your passing, but a far richer place for the wonderful music you've left behind. Rest in peace eternal.....
This song was in the charts the month and year my mother died ( Jan 1979) I cried buckets listening to the words and music at the time. Such a beautiful song.
Theres always a song that affects you like this when someone so close to you passes away, mine was wind of change with my mum, 30 years later and I've just started listening to the song again, time is a healer and you learn to smile again, but, God I still miss her!! Hope u r in a similar place now👍👍 take care.
A brilliant song, sung with "SOUL ! " from a "REAL SOUL SINGER ! ". I've interviewed him on my radio show & met him many times since 1976, and each time he was a true Gentleman & a real gentle man with no pretensions of stardom or bad behavior. A large number of today's (So Called) Celebrities could learn by taking a leaf out of Errol's book. Goodbye Lovely Man & Thanks for 40 years of unique music. Love & Prayers to Ginette (wife), Colette & Leonie (daughters) R.I.P. Lester Errol Brown M.B.E.
Hi Rockin' T.C. ! Are you still active? Where are you located? Would you do an interview/radio show with a brilliant musician from Seattle area? Greetings, Gerlinde
To Chris and Alison so glad this song helped you pull through when you were going through such difficult times Hoping you are both having better and happy times now and your life has now changed for the better
Gorgeous song but only one man could deliver it with the feeling and passion it deserves. That man is Errol Brown. The world is a poorer place for the passing of such an amazing talent. I lost someone very precious to me just over a year ago. Listening to this just brought all the feelings of loss and pain flooding back and I find myself welling up. But it also makes me smile and think about happy memories, if that makes sense? Thank you Errol Brown for so many years of great music. You are sorely missed
I heard this beautiful song by chance on the radio a few hrs ago,and i have been totally smitten with it ever since !!! Erroll Brown has the amazing ability to get straight to your heart whenever he sings x Bothxx the words and music are magical, and this is now going to be my song to all my precious friends.. Thanks Erroll xxxxxxx
Errol Brown, you never knew what you gave to me through this song at a time in life that I was going through pain and anguish. I had what I called my "sad corner" when all I could do was play this over and over so many times I'm surprised that old 45 single didn't wear out. It released the tears that needed to flow, it put me together again, then I could pick myself up and carry on with life again. This will always be the song that got me through. RIP and thank you for this and all the brilliant music you gave the world.
R.I.P Errol Brown . 06-05-2015. Could this be Hot Choclates finest moment ?. What a powerful emotive ballad from the end of 1978 , remember it well. reached a high of 13 in the UK CHARTS ., Showed a different side to the band ,as well as Disco floorfillers they produced a classic slow song here, soul never sounded so good, from this Brixton outfit , a song that's helped so many people with troubles of all kinds in their lives , the Legacy of HOT CHOCLATE will live on .....
Aidan Higgins A wonderful tribute to Errol Brown and Hot Chocolate. Remember HC used b on all the hits albums in the 70s and early 80s. Anyone recall Disco Stars, Disco Fever and Disco Rocket??
Still brings a tear to my eye! They is something very touching about this song, I heard it this morning on the radio its been around 10 yr since last hearing it and it still hits me! Loved hot chocolate they made some brilliant tunes!! Thanks for posting.
Great track by Hot Chocolate from around 1978 (if my memory serves me correctly). I think that it reached #12 in the UK charts - something like that - but it definitely deserved to be a WAY bigger hit than that. Lyrically (if not musically), "I'll Put You Together Again" is somewhat reminiscent of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" - the classic song by Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel, which topped the UK charts in March 1970.
This was the song that I chose to play at my beautiful fighter of a sisters funeral as they walked her in, Sharron was taken from us in January of 2015 after giving up the fight against an evil brain tumor which was diagnosed at the age of just 14 she gave up the battle and was taken from us at the young age of just turning 42! She was an amazing girl with an awesome talent for drawing freehand and would then colour it in perfectly, she was on a ton of meds before she left and as mum was her carer Sha would usually do her trick of delaying taking the tablets so she could draw for a while longer so a fitting song for my dearly missed friend and wonderful sister Sharron xxx
What incredible Music! Uplifting and heart breaking at the same Time! Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for sharing this beautiful music with all of us! God bless!
saw hot chocolate in the early 70s i have just lost my nephew and sister this song is a great comfort for me errol brown is the same age as me 66 thank you very much errol

Somewhere in my head I always kept this song, and it's orchestral performance. When I did gymnastics and was a poor kid. I never saw video of it, and it still touches me a lot, thanks. A nr.1 song.
what a brilliant, positive loving song. woke up with this in my head for some reason. haven't heard it for years so had to play it on here,it's even better than i remember. shame you never hear it on the radio. like so many groups, you'd think they'd only recorded one or 2 songs when there are so many good ones they could play.
I was introduced to Hot Chocolate by a girl who lied, cheated and stole from me. Fifty years later and I still miss her, but at least I have all the music by Hot Chocolate!
Saw Hot Chocolate many times, must say they are still my favourite group and it is very sad to hear of their lead singer Errol Brown has passed away tonight... Thank you for all the wonderful songs and music ....R.I.P. ERROL
So sad about his death, such a waste of so much talent that he had. I became a friend of his after meeting him at various racecourses in the South of England, he was always so very well dressed, Crombie overcoat etc, he was so cool, just a nice man as were his family. He appeared as a guest on a TV show many years ago, Eamon Andrews, "This is your life" his whole family were there including one of his daughters, when asked about his shows on stage, she replied......"Wow he was cool" R.I .P mate.

This song is so touching so beautifull. Many people with heartache must have and still get comfort out of this song. Hot choclate made many good songs but this is outstanding. Soul with a Mozart flavour, Unique.
I had the words in my head but could not remember the artist .... then it dawned on me, ERROL of course ... he is the only one I know who can convey so much emotion .... joy and pain, with such simply beautiful songs. Like most of their stuff it absolutely heartbreaking .... sniff! ... thank you Errol... sob! sniff !
This song was the first tune i heard, After major Heart Surgery at Glenfield Hospital Leicester, To say i was poorly would be an understatement, To thank the staff for what they did, Well i cant find the words , But this Hot Chocolate song Does it wonderfuly well. That was in 2001, And now again in 2010 they have mended me again,So anyone in my position take strengh from me and this Fantastic Track.
Hot chocolate came out on a CES show for the troops while I was in Bahrain in early 1970. All for free. Got to know Errol. He continued with his generosity until his sad passing. RIP Buddy. God Bless
Errol Brown the man with a voice as smooth as velvet & satin trousers as tight as skin. The two coolest black dudes of the 70's were Errol & John Shaft. You were a class act sir & will be much missed by your legions of fans here in the UK.
Beautiful song and lyrics!! Never heard this before. Only familiar with Emma,Every 1's A Winner and U Sexy Thing.Nice ballad from the group!!thanks 4 posting!!
Errol Brown was such a great singer, superb song writer, with soul and humility. A very down to earth person who was so talented and sang from the heart. I am sure this song " I'll put you together again" draws many a tear, but is of great comfort, it stirs our soul to carry on...He was just " very special" with this "special song".
