I have a suggestion for another selection for you with great music. And lots of it.The Movie How the west was won, from the 1960s . . The movie itself is about 3 plus hours long with intro, intermission, and ending music. It's not soft but lively , for a different vibe

I often wonder if Faramir, Frodo and Sam sat together after Elessar's Coronation and spoke of the time between their first meeting and their second. I am sure that Faramir would have been astounded at Frodo's tale of success. What about Sam's courage to take the ring at the time he thought Frodo was dead? And is resolve to go back for Frodo despite all that could have happened. After all, it took the two of them to get to the Samath Naur. Either one could not have done it alone. In the end, it was Sam's courage, Frodo's stamina and his pity for Gollum and Gollum's lust for the ring that played the downfall or Sauron. I believe Galadriel saw courage in Sam to see it to the end when she looked into his heart. What did she have to say to Sam and Frodo when they met in Minas Tirith? I would have loved to see those conversations displayed in an outtake volume. They traveled together for many miles together after the wedding of the king and Arwen.

I'm rereading Return of The King at the moment and you are totally right - there is a missing reunion of Frodo, Sam, and Faramir where they discuss what had transpired since they last spoke. Their interactions in Ithilien are a fascinating reflection of each of their own merits as a character and I'm sure Faramir would have been shocked at how the creature they spared from death played such a large part in it all.
@@death2896 I believe your use of shock is correct in what could be a reaction from Faramir. He was dead set against letting gollum go, let alone be a guide to Ciric Ungol. The final moments of the ring came down to Bilbos pity 77 years earlier, gollums lust for the ring, Frodo's pity and Faramirs trust in Frodo

@@Therealmoseslupai Research obscure history. Look at buildings that could not be built by our civilization. Tolkien was born in 1892, the decades before hold many answers. The guy is correct our time is that of great decline compared to what once was.

I can't remember which book it was, but some years ago I read a biography about Tolkien, and how he grew up in a small cottage during the industrial revolution. He associated industrialization with destruction and dirtiness, and that his development of the orcs are actually based upon his perception of the 'great leap' that many people see as the industrial age.
Everyone here talking about how the music brings to mind glorious victories, friendship, and the diminishment of the elves, when we all know what everyone is really picturing is Denathor absolutely going to ****ing town on a tomato.
For over a year now LOTR is the only thing that stops me from going insane. Thank you.

I think a lot of us would like to live in middle earth.
This playlist really captures the feeling a Godorian would have for Ithilien. The lost crownland of the kings of old, fills them with sorrow but also a faint sense of pride and the will to take it back. Good work man.
I've listened to many LOTR ambient mixes and this is one of my faves!
Great music for studying! (Though one does not simply study when listening to the music of The Lord of the Rings, which brings along so many memories of stories of old and moments that become alive!) Ithilien is my fave!
But it is not really lush and green, more like an autumn forest silently dying of old age. Since Mordor is so near, its influence is forever looming over it. There are bursts of sunshine present and life, but also shadow and dread.
Yeah I always thought the same. Really interesting place and a long history.
I suppose we are seeing Ithilien before the return of the Shadow, when it was still lush and green.

More times than not I will put one of your videos of LOTR on my tv and just have it as background music when I’m doing stuff around the house or if I decide to just sit and read (which I currently and rereading through the trilogy)
