I consider myself a very lucky person. In fact, I consider everyone who had the opportunity to go to the cinema in December in 2001, 2002, and 2003 to witness this masterpiece extremely fortunate. I remember it being an event, theaters filled, and, most importantly, complete silence during the screenings. Everyone was there for the movies, for the thrill of following that story year after year. I vividly recall that feeling, knowing that it would happen again in next December, until the last part. And now, 20 years after "The Return of the King," I am a different person. I have a little daughter now, and I'm counting the years until she's old enough for us to watch them together. I can't wait to revisit the films with her (curiously, I haven't rewatched them since seeing them in the cinema). Oh, if I can pass to her even a small fraction of what that feeling was like... That's why I say, for everyone here who had the chance to see these films in theaters, at the end of those years, oh... you are very lucky! If something in life bothers you, remember, "I saw The Lord of the Rings in theaters! Year after year!"
love this, you have amazing self-control too, I've rewatched them each like 40 times each since they released haha
I saw each film in theatre at least 3 times (I saw Two Towers and Return of the King 5 times!), back when it was $2 CAD a ticket. I remember thinking "Nothing will ever top this!".... and nothing yet has or likely ever will
Yeah I'm enjoying watching the trilogy again to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of The Return of the King.
👍👍😀
I dont normally comment nice things and to be honest i didnt consider myself a nice person, ive hated life and everyone in it for as long as i can remember until right now. The only thing that brought me solice was lord of the rings because its what me and my dad would listen to, hes been gone years now and i havent even watched the movies in 4 years. I just did a hobbit and lord of the rings marathon and for the first time in years and i felt like my dad was here with me all because of a lofi mix on CZcams that i took a chance on listening too. And like life itself, its all about taking chances and risks, and so i say to whomever reads this, life does get better just try your best and always remember, " all you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." Gandalf the grey".
thank you for your comment and for finding us!!! ❤️
@@FantasyLofi no honestly, thank you
Hey my friend, this was an honest, humble thing to post. We don’t know each other, but I want you to know that I love you. Yes, life can get better! I’m so sorry you lost your dad, but I know that you’re special to someone too, I wish you the best. Lord of the Rings is an amazing story. Never let go of it!
The scene shows three friends, all of which we know would die for one another, enjoying a moment, that to them, would hardly seem like a moment to take notice of at all. We all long for the simplicity and ease of mind that this scene encapsulates. There are many lofi scenes that I would like to enter, but this one, is the one I'd like to get lost in.
That is truly one of my top five favorite quotes!! You got this!
i dont have the words to describe how emotionally happy this makes me
Is there another type of happy that is not emotional?
@EmanKcin8820 you're doing the lords work.
Your love of the halflings' leaf has clearly slowed your heart rate
😂❤🎉
as a LotR fan, I'm honestly hardly holding tears listening to this one and just falling deep into the atmosphere
Twenty years ago this month my older brother came home from college and we saw the Return of the King in theaters. He was a freshman and I was a Junior in high school. We've had a lot of life since then and the first few minutes of this really pulls in the feels.
Listening to this and the Skyrim one while I'm doing night shift, the vibes fit so perfectly
The main theme always brings a tear to my eye and its pretty much impossible for me to listen to it without humming along!
Thats exactly what im feeling since i was a kid!
I remember falling asleep as a child in the theaters during Return of the King and waking up to see the movie still had an hour left. Still to this day it has to be the greatest trilogy we've ever received.
My father took me to see The Return of the King at the cinema when I was a kid. That was the first and last time I saw him cry.
that humming at 20 seconds in makes me feel at one with everybody, like thats all us in there singing.
I quite enjoyed the first lofi mix, it engaged my mind and made me long to kind of life worthy of Gandalf's story hour.
Listening to this mix however makes me feel as though I have already lived such a life and now Gandalf is reading the chronicle of an age almost forgotten.
exactly this
This version of the story is how the Elves tell it in Aman. No rush when you're an immortal living in paradise.
10 seconds in and I'm already getting goosebumps
This has been playing in the background while I've been working, playing video games etc for a week now. I don't think I've been this relaxed in years..
glad you like it! 😍
I'm so glad that we, internet strangers, can dig into how we feel with the help of this obscenely smooth track. A slowed down version is just what the wizard ordered
I sat in my living room last night and listened to this one in a half times while doing chess puzzles. Honestly the most relaxed I’ve been in a while. Excellent work and great adaptations to the originals.
This shit put me into a cognitive coma haha. So peaceful and relaxing. This will definitely be added to my playlist for days when I need to unwind after a stressful day. Well done to the creator of this gem.
it's the perfect combination of "8-bit" art, lo-fi and LOTR, thank you
If you all are ever looking for more good lo-fi, Jon Hopkins' album "Opalescent" from 2001 is basically the god father of lo fi before it was really called "lo fi". Every time I hear the more chill sentimental lo fi like this vid it makes me think of it, one of my faves. The album never really got attention due to 9/11 happening a few months after it's release.
Thanks!
I will be checking that out, thank you.
Hey, I remember this guy (had decided to buy the OST of How I Live Now, without even knowing it included a Daughter song, which was a bonus since I'd listen to them daily back then xD) but didn't even know he's been around this long... wow.
I think I prefer his other stuff but I'll definitely check this out. Should've followed him more in the first place.
Cheers ^^
I would have been about 2 or 3 when it released. I was 3 that September, saw the report on t.v. Sometimes I really wonder what the world was like before that event.
@@Beregond1861 it had no social media or iphones, just texting and kids played outside instead of Fortnite. Boomers exaggerate their time but it really was better than the collapse in mental health we have now thanks to social media
This mix is so chill it turned off my nervous system.
Wasn't sure what this was going to be like in the first few seconds, but then 0:18 hit and I freaking KNEW it was going to be amazing.
This is one of those beats thats a 10 out of 10 mood setter for casual gatherings.
Side effects may include large groups going into the forrest to reenact scenes from the movies/and or/books. At the age of 35
Wow, please do more of the LoTR soundtrack! These are incredible!
It's always amazing how this music, no matter in what form, awakens deep, hidden feelings.
A certain longing arises for something that you miss.
Or what you forgot?
It feels like deep sadness (farewell), but at the same time strong love and security.
this is so beautiful, some of the themes sound so sad 🥺
I don't think I've ever had multiple goosebumps in watching a single video. This is it, this is phenomenal.
thank you!
The Riders of Rohan is straight fire
Listen to this every night ❤ always meditates my mental state when I most need it.
how can you not love this
this is my comfort video
Somehow I traveled back pixel gaming era and imagined that times when we were playing those beautiful creations of humanity, without any problems in the life.
I love your beats, they're always on as ambiental music in my house, please keep it up!
Wow. As a '90s kid, there's something about listening to that transports me back to my childhood and reminds me of simpler times. Thank you for doing that.
I heard this on the first day of 2024, now I feel my life is complete
this video basically got me through this year in college lol. all the study sessions...
First I was laughing in delight and now I'm tearing up all the sudden only 4 minutes in help
Bro why does this beat make me so fucking sad, heavy in depression frfr... 10/10!!!
when nostalgia comes knocking 🥺
I found this channel the other day and immediately told my nephew... Let's just say we were both astounded with the content! This rendition of LOR is a master piece. All I can do is thank you, this is my new.... everything....Thank you so much... it makes me cry, makes me happy and most importantly gets me though the day.
what an intro. that mix is so soft and pillowy
Proper dithering and shadowing. This is real pixel art.
This is stellar! Right after 0:15 I got chills!
Love it! I changed the YT player speed to 1.25x so it could go a little faster for my liking but still different than the original non-slowed and reverbed.
there needs to be sooo many more songs like this
This is a gift. Thanks
Holy damn, I feel like crying.
Reminded me of times when I watched LotR1 for the first time, on a pirated CD, on a PC with a small monitor, every family member had their own chair, the video was scuffed somehow, the colors were orange-y (like some Mexico filter) and I would wonder what is Rohan or Gondor, and what will even happen to Frodo and Sam, who stood at the ridge of some hill, showcasing Mordor in the distance... And then we had a blast creating our own .srt files with some jokes and parody dialogues, and watched it with that. God fucking damn I miss those times so much.
And that music encapsulated all of that^ Great remixes.
Not too sure if you'll see it, but RDR2 has some beautiful ambient music and to hear it in lofj would be awesome, seeing Arthur around the campfire and the stars above as he eats some stew. The crackling of the fire and the sound of the woods outdoors or the prairie, along with the thematic instruments that play to set the atmosphere. It would be awesome! I understand you are super busy, but it would be awesome to hear the ambience of RDR2 converted to lofi. Thank you for this wonderful mix, you'll have many more subs to come!
I don't even know what rdr2 is, yet, but this sounds like a nice suggestion :p
OMG, Thank So Much, I really Love this Lofi beats
Love it! Thank you very much! We need a 1 hour version of the first song 🙏, perfect for reading LOTR
Hey man, I'd love to know more about the art, It's fantastic!
this is nice!!! i love it
I'm listening to this plus your prior one side by side...Not sure which one I like more. Thank you!
This is quite lovely. Been a long few weeks and I appreciate it. As Gandalf said. Small deeds by simple folk. Thank you.
I love this new version 🤍
More different LotR songs please, this is amazing
What would be really awesome is if an animation was made in this sprite style. One that starts of with Frodo and Sam walking on a path leaving the Shire. Perhaps from a frontal view. Then after a while, maybe make it transition to a slightly distant side-scrolling view which shows the environment.
Then along the way, gradually add and subtract the next set of characters as they enter and progress through the story, and change the environment appropriately as they progress. Slowly switching between a front and side view of them walking, and perhaps occasionally turning their head.
And if possible, get the appropriate tracks to align with the settings of the animation. Play the Shire track when they're in the Shire environment, and play the Rohan track when they're in a Rohan environment.
It would be a lot of work, but it would be awesome. Going from the beginning of the journey, all the way to the end. I'd also perhaps throw some Easter eggs from the book in the background environment as they progress.
passing this through my reverb unit 🤯
love this
lol LoTR in lofi version. never thought of that. really love LoTR music.. thank you for upload
🕺 "Grooving like nobody's watching! Dance floor of one, please! 💃🕺"
Great music
Thank you
Awesome! ....but still waiting on Morrowind!!👍
bro thanks for making these music
Oh man, I wish I could live in Shire and had a wise friend like Gandalf❤
Because the small acts of kindness keep the darkness at bay
Great tunes to the greatest movie (trilogy) of all time.
Some suggestions:
1. The Sims II
2. The first two Harry Potter games for PC (Jeremy Soule composed the pieces and they have Elder Scrolls vibes and are super atmospheric).
3. Kingdom Come: Deliverance has some banger atmospheric music.
4. Hollow Knight.
5. Zelda
great suggestions! maybe one of them will come sooner than you think 🤔 ❤️
@@FantasyLofi gotta assume Zelda due to popularity.
I do approve of these suggestions anyway (especially the old HP stuff, despite the news I had heard some time ago...).
Seems like the to-do list of yours is complete for the next year or two😅
I have no words for you to thank you. Oh my god my heart is full of happiness.
My favourite one on this channel :)
which song do you like the best? 🤔😇
Might make a whole album of game music inspired by this... hmmmmm
instant chills.. so grateful I found this mix
big same over here, very grateful indeed
I Love listening to this and sleep as i Watch your Covers !!
Will you ever do a The Witcher 3 theme ? 😍
oh yes my friend!
@@FantasyLofi can't wait🙏
My dear Frodo...
Would love to pay for the pixel art if possible? I LOVE IT. Absolutely fantastic lofi as well. This will be getting used at work a lot.
Замечательно!!!❤
noticed that the cauldron is a smile, and above it is a hill that has eyes and a mouth)
incredibe !
This makes me want to live alone with nothing but rare and occasional random visits from Gandalf and the boys, for uncommon adventures.
Sizurp brewed by G himself would be mind-blowin´
This randomly popped up in my feed and FUCK am I glad I clicked it
Put it at x2 speed! smooth
Awesome work! What gear do you use to record it?
Sam is Chefing the hell outta that Old Toby. 😆
Finest weed in the south farthing.🤘
Finest weed.
Oh. Wow.
You should give Narnia a go. Both great works from Tolkien and Lewis. Thank you!
Ok, this is the best thing ever, can i use this in my vlogs ??
ofc! see www.bitsandhits.com/licensing for everything you need about using our music in your content!
How do you do that? in one minute I fall into a state of complete peace and tranquility!
It is a pretty good work you have done here, is it your pixel art?
yup, everything on the channel is a team effort by a group of video game nerds :)
I just want to be with them for the rest of my life, like old friends we want to see again
This makes me wish there had been an early-90s LucasArts PC game of LotR
Lord of the Beats
Прекрасная музыка и чудесное видео)) жаль, что оно не длиннее)))
What program are you using to make the animation? Thanks for the answer. :)
asperite!
holy sheet. i thought i had hit all the emotional movements i could with all these new lofi remixes..... and then this intro drops.... that first minute man. right in them feels my friends. i shed a tear with you all.
just a piece of feedback - this is SO great, but it is helpful as a listener if the pictures are different for each mix. Obviously ignore me if that is insanely hard, and I do like how you changed the color scheme here, but my add brain is simple and having different pictures (even just like 15% different) would be good.
That said, your mixes are the background for my workouts and calm my brain as I work 70hrs per week trying to make helly sales and barely can handle my life. Your mixes allow me to take a breath and resume my toil the next day. :)
thank you for feedback my friend! we'll try :)
I feel like this would be the title screen of a old gameboy version of LOTR. It's so good
I was thinking Sega Gamegear
I want to play this game ;)
It looks like Gandalf is telling Frodo and Sam about the first time he felt a boob. Sam is 100% taking mental notes, Frodo is shuffling his feet and seems to want to change the subject.
please do more WoW stuff!!
we’re on it boss!
@@FantasyLofi now I wonder how troll or gnome music would sound in this version/style xD
I sure enjoyed the Dun Morogh and the rest of the first wave.
Hmmm iirc I didn't hear a troll/gnome track there but in case I did and I mess up atm, I wonder about how other tracks would sound too, lolz.
Hopefully everything will be covered eventually tho (these are all interesting and well made, can't wait).
💚
