Concerning Hobbits makes me feel something I rarely feel. A feeling that I am home, but without any stress and it makes me feel relieved. This track shows me what I want in life. Not much, just the piece and warmth, a beautiful place to just be and spend time with the people I like to be around. Meaning no harm to anything and be a part of everything and all.
The whole story of Middle Earth fills me with a melancholy where I yearn for a place that never was and never will be. It's inspirational, relatable, tragic, and hopeful in a way that no other story is.

Tolkien INVENTED fantasy storytelling, basing it off of various world mythologies he studied extensively. And now people study HIS work. Lots of "world firsts" from the franchise in its various forms since its inception.
Breaking of the Fellowship is always so emotionally resonant in any form.
By far the most powerful scene of the first movie for all who read the books before.

Thank you for this. LOTR is a place you can live in. Thank God for Tolkien and what he discovered and laboriously and faithfully recorded for us. He is an example of what beauty is possible to create in the world. Hope for humanity right here.

yea watching the hobbit every year is cringe, even peter jackson said himself its not even close to as good as lotr. Like the other guy said just watch lotr twice a year, once you could do theatrical once the extended or something. I guess people do enjoy the hobbit but its just so baddd! I really appreciate the artwork. My favorite part is actually the dark shadow[s] on the hills, makes it perfectly feel like the sun has just gone down and there is a rain cloud approaching. The atmosphere!

i think howard shore created one of the most epic pieces of music for the films. its incredible to what a large degree they play into the feelings and memories connected with frodo and sams journey. I will love the films for the rest of my life, i watch them twice a year. great music here. love the lofi versions.

I like to imagine this is them after their journey has ended, and Gandalf is reading frodo's additions to his story while frodo and Sam talk about rosy cotton and the troubles that Mary and pippin have gotten themselves into. About four weeks ago, I took my 15-year-old cat, Charlie (named after Dominic Monaghan's character from LOST,) to be euthanized because he was suffering from severe renal failure, poor old boy. I played The Shire theme ("Concerning Hobbits" from the "Fellowship" soundtrack) on our way to the vet, to give him a pleasant journey together as we sent him Into The West. He was normally extremely unhappy with car rides for his whole life, but he seemed ready to go this time, not unlike Mr. Bilbo. I started playing this video just now, curious to hear what this score would sound like given the Lo-Fi treatment, and when "Concerning Hobbits" began, I really wasn't prepared to hear that song again already. Hearing it in this context, a month or so after he left... it brought out a lot of various feelings in me. R.I.P. Charlie -- 2008 - 2023.

there's something about the lord of the rings soundtrack that hits differently. it's not the typical overly sentimental and emotional crap that if often turned out these days, yet it evokes both sentiment and emotion in a profound way. It isn't "junk food" music. It's real and deep and authentic. It's a treasure

In the space of just 3 days, I was rejected by my dream job interview, then my dog(the one on my profile photo)passed away and as if that weren't enough, my girlfriend broke up with me...
I feel completely lost these days, a great feeling of emptiness has taken over my everyday and I don't know how much more I can take.
One thing I can say, is that for 1 hour I felt a warm feeling thanks to this LOTR lofi music.
