- this was a big shock to me since i know how fast these are stock and this one was remaped to 225 bhp so i was expecting a loss and ended up holding my own and coming out with a surprise win !!!
good race tho fair play to the corsa wanker :P
Had my 190 for 4 yrs now, you really have to know how to drive and keep in lift, once you learn that it's quite a beast, chuck a cat back on and an induction kit and way to go , left a few golf gti and a few type r owners with there mouths gaping and not believing it's only a 18, very satisfying
Celica beats everything!Best car ever, yet so underrated:(
Celica beats everything? What a load of bollocks!!. Ok, if it beats everything it should beat a Tesla model s P100D for instance then?.
@@stiggyness1976 you're comparing a Tesla to a car you can pick up for a few penny's 🤣
@@kp4643 Irrelevant, he said Celica beats everything!. So he is implying that the Celica is better and faster than anything else on the planet. He's talking crap.
@@stiggyness1976 imagine taking a comment on CZcams so seriously 🤣🤣
@@kp4643 Oh I see, silly me. I didn't realise that videos and comments on here are just bullshit. Jesus what's the world coming to? I take it that everything online is a joke to you?.
"Do you even LIFT bro?". Subscribed
haha thanks man :D thought id throw that in at the time haha
Hehehe mine doesn't only LiFT, it also squats on take offs (worn out gearbox mount 😉)
Nice runs pal love these videos, just bought a celica 190 t sport great cars
0:55 the song says dont let me down
Exactly what you were thinking when you had to race a car with a check engine light
Decat exhaust will put engine light on
Used to love my Tsport Celica. Sadly I blew the engine. It was my single guy car after my marriage ended....never forgot that car 🙁😓
How did you blow it? No oil no maintenance? Or whay did it blow ?
@@steluts4341 yeah the 140 1zz pan isnt baffled, has a windage tray that gets in the way. elise parts make a great baffled sump for the 2zz enigine in the celica and lotus
Great pull of that motor....seen your videos and you have some crack in that car...fair play :)
Too fooking right that was a victory. Well done lad
It goes very well for the mods you've done.. Yet this engine really shines with a ported or aftermarket exhaust manifold and ecu
Yeah one of the main problem of this car, is the point Toyota fitted it with an ECU only engaging the lift starting at 6000-6200 rpm. By just putting it a little bit down as Lotus did with the Elise 111R, at 5500rpm, change a lot the performances.
hahaha good one mate! wheres this at?! i wanna do some videos like this on my channel too!
If only I still had my UK spec GT-Four 😭
love how happy this engine is to rev high heh
What mods you done to it mate? It's impressive!
in this it just had straight through stainless steel exhaust no cats and a K&n intake thats all
We need more content peteeeee
Good run
Awesome I have th 2zz in my GT awesome motor
Nice. 👌
2zz ge engine with apexi pfc? Sounds so good man
nope this was near enough stock just exhaust and a pannel filter stock ecu
Celica is one of the few that lift
Just need not to rev high when cold, so cylinder lines stay in good condition, that's the down side of these engines
same as any engine
I think all engine
You can't hit lift until its up to right temperature any ways the car won't let you
why is your check engine light on?
because of the decat exhaust the sensors were reading a code for a bad catalytic convertor
Corolla and Celica have the same T Sport engines?
If so don't they suffer from a oil pump that can't handle the rev pressure it needs, and the bottom end gives in?
Celica got shorter gears ratio, and a little lighter than Corolla's
Bardock the celica ts and corolla ts have the same c64 gearbox in japan/uk and c60 in europe/usa
Luca J the problem with the pump is that the gears are so tiny and can break by misshifts, the only problem in the 2zz are the lift bolts (4€ each every 30k miles)
@@matteo512 actually the celica final drive is a just bit longer, and also the corolla is just a bit torquier on the low revs.If you notice the intake design, the celica intake is a ram air type and also the throttle body is straight on the plenum unlike the corolla's angled throttle position. That's why it goes better in the high rpms and has a bit less torque on the low revs
Colonel Erran Morad i havent seen a c64 gearbox in uk/eu toyotas, only on lotus (c64=6th gear 0.815 ratio vs 0.725 in C60)
nice would like to race your celica in my mb6 lol
that can be arranged :P were are u based ?
im just in burntisland fife mate
av races a few vxr and pulled on them too.
went up to crail a while back but car was near standard .
had a few things done to it now lol
thers a vid when a was at crail against a fiesta st
ma car had a shite map and made mine bog down off line
same this video was when it was standard since then ive had a standalone ecu and had it mapped by sos motorsports and the redline raised just a tad to squeese a bit more out of it lol id be up for a wee race im based just on the other side of the bridge queensferry area ... what's your fastest time at crail ?
aye i seen your fiesta st vid they are shite i have a vid of racing one and walked away from it like nothing lol turbo's are over rated eh lol
I can't get into 3rd that quick help
Get a short shift fitted should sort out your problem
@@jackeck2128 the throw on celicas is pretty short already. I have got used to the car far more now and got alot of practice and am much better at it now
@@kp4643 enjoy
toyota corrolas did the same in their youth aswell
I must admit do like the 190 celica but not a patch on my ep3 ;)
i have a Celica 140, i you're interested see my channel for a "race" against an EP4 Type R in the twisties - I was surprised how well I kept up although I did get beat to be fair
Ep3 have terrible rep now due to boy racers, Celica has the looks over it too and nothing between really.
@@incognitoaudio6424 if you don't race them you may as well buy an EP1
