Thank you sooo much! My son's.. Father gave me his 2008.civic. After it had sat for almost 2 years... WITH THE DRIVERS WINDOW DOWN 😂😢😢. Took me literally 39 secs to fix that but all the molding on the windows is cracked or missing and the windshield looks just like this 😂. Soo thank you so muc for this!! Now i gotta get the AC running properly. 😂😂

Me too smh. I just bought a 2010 civic a couple months ago (same model as your still 8th gen) and oh my god i have no trim at all on mine! It pissed me off cause had i paid a little closer attention I probably wouldnt have paid as much as i did. An probably would have tried to get the price lowered. It pisses me off cause there is so much debris inside of the cracks i hope nothing electrical goes wrong with it

Used some adhesive ensolite closed cell weatherstripping. Might use your idea as mine isn’t quite as neat, but it works. Thanks!
The ensolite already lost its adhesion with the latest rainstorm. It was curling up this morning, lol. Oh, well. Will use your idea.

HOLY! Had this same idea for a while now! Been looking for the official part online and got so confused! My drip molding is there, but not this piece to cover the clips! Tons of websites have something that looks like it's for this, but NONE are 100% clear!!! Almost ordered but was NEVER sure it's even what I need. Now that I have seen someone do it i think i will try myself. Just wondering how this hold up in a car wash? That's how i lost mine. Doesn't make sense. The drip moldings on either side were fine, but BOTH the left/right covers on this part came off the same time. WHT?!?!?!

At 2:47 you said "I'm gonna go cut the slim section off 'cuz that looks like what belongs there". I took that to mean that the slim section is the one to use. I've saved the fat section just in case I misunderstood you. I did the install, and the fit seemed better than the original decayed part that I removed. I will try to remember to let you know if the replacement part misbehaves and if it survives its first automatic car wash. Thanks for sharing the knowledge, bruh!

Have you done a DIY on the rubber strip protecting the edge of the windhshield, right under the wiper blades? Would be glad to learn from you.
@@alvintan6650 I haven’t. But if we’re talking about the windshield garnish gasket, your best bet would be to look for a healthy set at a junk yard for $20 and replace the whole thing

My civic looks just like this and now when it rains hard water leaks a little through each corner at the top of my windshield inside the car. Will buying these fix the leaking problem?
I don’t think this is the fix for that. You probably need to remove and redo your windshield seal

It would be done like any other roof wrap or any wrap job. Prep the surface, sand, clean etc then go for it. Not an easy process if your new to wrapping 😅

It's probably better than the fix I was going to try which was going to be squirt a heavy line of liquid nails and clamp it down until it set.

Sure does. It’s wedged in well unless you make it too thin and doesn’t get hit directly by any wind. If your weather strip has broken clips and is lifted, this fix isn’t for you

@@UbanteGarage would consider to order it, but by the time it got to me here in Canada, potential custom fees, exchange rate, etc... it could cost me 75 CAD or more. I'm gonna sell the car. The crappy Honda clear coat flaw, which Honda has always refused to fix, makes the car too f'ugly.

It didn't work for me. I go to the car wash. And when you go through it. The blower blows out that seal. Waste of money.
It’s not glued in. Don’t pressure wash directly over it 🤷🏽♂️ as long as the freeway winds don’t blow it off I think it’s worth $10
