  • HELPING ANNA OVERCOME HER FEAR OF SPIDERS!!!🕷 *Anna is NOT a client. During my visit at @kaykovmedia a staff member came up to me and mentioned that one of the employees were afraid of spiders and wanted to overcome their fear. Good thing I had Charlotte the tarantula with me and I got right to work!!! In a session with clients there would be an intake and more information gathered to help the client throughout the exposure therapy process. For today, you are seeing the part of the Exposure. ANNA did such a fantastic job!! #tarantula #spiders #fear #phobia #exposuretherapy

    She was definitely not a real arachnophobe. There is no way in hell I could ever let something like this happen to me. My panic and fight or flight would have kicked in, I probably would have tried to kill the guy coming close to me with that thing, then ran out of there screaming.

      Obviously I can't imagine THAT being the first exposure, well I hope so?! Description states she is not a client, but still a coworker who is scared.
      No such thing as a real arachnophobe, some people are deathly afraid, others are just a little scared.

      Okay i just read on phobias. Maybe this is not so much a phobia but just a small fear. This doesn't look INTENSE enough as phobias were described as being.

      @@nolimo2593Yes, that was my point. kudos to you for looking it up yourself. Phobias are an irrational fear that invoke real physical responses that you have little to no control over.

      I wish she done it with the house spiders, they run so fast where as tarantulas are slow and more calm. If I even see a spider in my room I nearly cry. It’s so bad

    Fear and Phobia aren’t same. I would have screamed and pass out if that was this close.

    If she was afraid of spiders I'm quite sure she would have screamed all the time. I know I would

    Can you have a none venomous tarantula? I thought that was impossible, technically with all spiders although of course most pose no danger to humans.

    • @captbloodbeard
      @captbloodbeard Před 8 měsíci +2

      You are correct. But he didn't lie. No spiders are poisonous, but all of them are venomous. You cannot remove a spider's venom glands without killing them. This spider was still totally venomous.

      @trevorstill5577 Před 2 měsíci

      @@captbloodbeardwhile you make a solid point about how all spiders are venomous most tarantulas, especially mild temperament new world tarantulas like the one in the video have very weak venom. Wasps and ants are also venomous. A tarantulas venom is comparable to them.

    • @captbloodbeard
      @captbloodbeard Před 2 měsíci

      @@trevorstill5577 I never implied that the venom was harmful. Most of the harm done by a tarantula's bite isn't from the venom, but from the physical trauma due to the size of the fangs and the strength of the bite. As you said, though, New World tarantulas tend to be quite docile in captivity. In the wild, though, if they are starving they will still charge you.
