Got an X20 last week but was floundering with all the various updates and in what order. Hadn’t really heard too much about Ethos Suite up to now. Looks promising. I’ll have a crack tomorrow.
Do you know how to update the XJT Lite module? I’ve a feeling mine isn’t going to work properly with the X20 until I do.

Good vid, have an X20S but updated it months ago and forget how to do out of the box if it needs it lol. Thinking of getting the X18SE as a backup although I hear from ppl that have both most prefer the 18 to the 20. Hopefully the SE comes with a new enough ETHOS out of the box where the suite does it all. I love being able to just click update and it does everything for me.
How can we change the spring tension in the X18?
Thanks for this. I have an X18 and using a Mac. The Ethos suite says Bootloader Versions for X18 should be later than 1.2.9. But when I try to plugin my x18 into the Ethos suite it doesn't recognise it or at least the Ethos suite doesn't come up with DFU Flasher which is needed to update the bootloader. So I'm in a bit of a catch 22. Any ideas?

@@Painless360 thanks. I achieved it without using the Ethos suite just by putting the boot loader and firmware files on an SD card and copying them into the Nand directory on the actual Radio using Ethos.
I always make a manual backup of my models and files before updating just in case.
Why do i not need a crossfire tx module on my model ? . The nano reciever is as powerful oif a tranciever as the nano tx module ?

hello. i just tried to download it, howver it says that the drives arent installed on my computer. any advice?

@@Painless360 well it’s when I try to update the boot loader the DFU flasher doesn’t pop up, honestly I’m at my wits end
I bought my X20 about a year ago, updated the boot loader & firmware and all was good to go and loaded some models.
I haven’t used the X20 since the Autumn and so before loading some more models I thought I would update the firmware. I downloaded the latest boot loader, 1.4.2 but it just fails every time when I try to update. Any ideas what I can do please? I can’t update the firmware until that’s done. 😢

There are a few options. Zadig is what I use here when things don't appear as DFU. See czcams.com/video/WzTq5ZWdhRM/video.html
@@Painless360 thanks. Someone else yesterday told me to use Zadig, so I tried it last night and it worked. My X20 is no fully up to date.
Nice looking Radio only problem I can see is FRsky ? just why would you when ELRS is so good 🤔
This radio will be getting X-Fire and ELRS support soon. They do work on other transmitters right now from FrSky that work with OpenTX.
Frsky radios are ver good quality at a good price

so I just got my brand new windows laptop computer. installed ethos suite. after following the procedure on updating bootloader, on the left hand side where your X18S appeared. i don't have that. why is my X20 not appearing? I'm not computer savvy. so I have been at this trying hard to figure out how to navigate and understand the ethos procedure. it looks simple in your video. not that simple doing it on my end.
I need to know more to help - is the radio in bootloader mode etc?
@@Painless360 update, ok so I’ve solved the problem. I went back into the SD card and I found that I accidentally deleted the firmware folder from the SD card. I reinstalled the firmware with the latest version. Now the radio is back in action and updated accordingly! Just FYI. My BAD! I refuse to be defeated! Sorry for all my rudeness and “conduct unbecoming!”
