    Rob, I saw your FoxHound gloves! I’m in B’ham and I know Adam. I saw that he’s selling your vaporizers. I bought one of yours right after the first Hive Life after looking at the one you sent Kamon. Hope to see you at HL #3.

    Hey rob, I received the new vaporizer a few weeks ago. I couldn't be happier. How about using a turkey baster to clean the tube with water. Cheap, easy, and you don't have to worry about spillover. You can also turn the unit upside down, put the baster on the exit ferrule once cooled, and give a few pumps to power wash the crud in the ferrule. It works well for me. Keep doing what your doing sir. It is much appreciated.

    After watching your video I used a brother label maker to put 3 labels on my InstaVap: (1) BATT > 15V, (2) PV = 445F (since that is the factory temp set point/target), (3) CLEAN < 155F (your video shows you waiting until the unit cools to about 155F before cleaning with water). I placed the labels close to the back away from the hot end. You may want to put similar labels on your units prior to shipping...just a thought!

    Rob, on the adaptor for the apimaye hive - would a cone shaped adaptor work better. It would fit many different sized holes.
    I love this new vaporizer but my 2 year old Lorabbees is still running like a clock. Have a good day.

      im planning on using a wooden knockout from using a hole saw. lll probably file it down to a cone shape to fit my apimayes.

  • @jamestownsendjrtbees3226

    How do you keep the tip from clogging and turning to stone? I have the original vaporizer not the new battery powered one. I have to keep a drill with me and drill out the tip every other colony and it's a hassle. I wonder if the new units have a bigger nozzle?

    • @dougmahone
      @dougmahone Před rokem +1

      @@carlmarinaccio503 I have a vaporized from another manufacturer. It came with instructions to put water in the cup, turn it upside down, insert the cup, turn it right side up and the water will boil off and the resultant steam will instantly dissolve the OA and open up the tube. Always worked great for me. I always washed out my cups with hot water and it instantly cleaned them as well, no scrubbing at all, just hot water immersion.

    I am currently patiently waiting for mine to arrive. I do have one question and that is about the batteries. Most of the 18 V batteries I'm seeing by DeWalt are push in and not slide on. The 20 V batteries are slide on. So will this work with the 20 V batteries? Or do I have to try and locate a slide on 18 V battery by DeWalt?

    • @LorobBees
      @LorobBees  Před rokem +1

      Great question! The 18 V Dewalt for Europe is identical to the 20 V Dewalt in the US. They are the exact same battery though they are named something different due to a marketing technicality. 20 V is the peak 18 V is their operating voltage. Remember the first amp hour is to heat the unit up and then they estimate that every amp hour after that is about 10 hives at 2 g.

      @@LorobBees thank you very much. Now I can go ahead and purchase my batteries so I have them when my unit gets here. Hey Rob, Received my InstantVap couple of days ago and went to treat my hives today. Because what I had seen in Kamon's videos I moved my temperature down to 350 plugged it into my first hive, inserted the plunger with the acid, pressed the plunger and nothing happened. pulled it out, refilled the plunger because I did not know if it had worked or not, inserted the acid again and nothing. I then moved the temp up to 450 and as the temperature came up all hell broke loose with 4 grams of OA in there. Well, I got my hives done but it sure would have been nice if it has come with some sort of instructions that said keep it at 450 and here is what the four buttons do. I really do not like having a device with buttons and I don't know what they do. Too much of a possibility of breaking a $500 tool. I have figured out from this video and a couple of others that the second button is some sort of temperature lock, you said something to that affect in this video. but what happens if I hold it down or whatever it is that you said to not do? Also, what does the first button do? Never bought anything before, especially something that costs this much that came with absolutely no instructions at all.
    OTHERWISE, this thing is GREAT, did not have to get out the 100 ft. extension cord and drag it all around and coil it back up when I was done. Used to be an extreme PITA to do my hives. Now, an hour or so and and I'm done.

      Just received one in Kansas and agree 100% on the buttons. I didn’t see the minimum instructions taped to the underside of the packing. Didn’t realize unit set to Fahrenheit and tried to use buttons on PLC front panel. Couldn’t find info on internet. I did figure it out. It would be nice if that info was on instruction sheet. The unit works great and nice workmanship…should last my lifetime!

    If you run water down the tube to clean, can you over fill the bowl and get the insulation wet ?

    • @LorobBees
      @LorobBees  Před rokem +3

      Yes if you get it on the outside of the tube on the housing. If this happens allow the unit to run on a full battery for 5-10 min. Then turn it off. Then repeat. Once it gets to 445F the water will have evaporated from the insulation
