- Martin is angered as he discovers that Pauline and Derek were aware that Mark was dying, but didn't tell him.
Unfortunately I had to scrap the end of this video where they return to Walford as it got picked up for copy right issues.

Derek Really loved Cared about Martin and Pauline and the family. Even though he was gay he did ask pauline to be his Wife. He Wanted to be a Dad to Martin
I still miss Todd Carty on the show to this day
And the Original Mark Fowler as well who sadly died because the press were constantly hounding him
That was disgusting! The press should be charged with the murder of that poor young lad. They pushed +pushed until he could take no more!
I guess Derek was/is a 2nd dad to Martin even if he is gay. And it ain't fair everything about Mark's illness was hidden from Martin

Never liked Pauline, always whinging and whinging pushing Martin in a sense to go off the rails slightly, it was obvious he would rebel. Keeping this from him about Mark was another reason why Martin had had enough as he felt like he was always in the wrong.
But these scenes show that Pauline actually has a heart in there somewhere.

He did but he didn’t know about the cancer that killed mark which is what ultimately killed him
@@markgeering5943 It's not about the cancer as non of them knew that , it was the fact that Mark's HIV became aggressive and terminal which Martin DIDN'T know . He just thought Mark could still take his medication and be ok.
Martin was young and Mark wanted to protect him and wanted him to be the man of the family & look after Pauline

That "tart" is Yolande Trueman and she was a lovely character! She was nothing even close to a tart!
Although this is very sad, it's poetic justice for what Martin put Sonia and Phil through after he killed Jamie, they weren't prepared for it either.
Why Martin making all this about him the poor woman was grieving for her son selfish
Well in all fairness she should have told him regardless and then he wouldn't be as you call it selfish he as every right to react we all say stuff we don't mean when upset and angry but just remember this isn't real its scripted

He was always terrified of Phil back then, Jamie smacked one once too; also different actor but one of the most satisfying scenes ever was when Stuart backhanded him across the market 😂
