  • The Yezdi Scrambler and the Royal Enfield Scram 411 are two of the most affordable scramblers in the country today. And both of them are priced quite similarly as well. These scramblers have some off-roading traits but can take on the urban environment. Though, they have their fair share of positives and negatives. Shumi and Varun Painter have taken the scramblers out to understand which is better.

I own a yezdi scrambler. Let me make it clear
    City mileage : 25kmpl (after 2.5k kms before that it's 18kmpl)
Highway mileage : 30kmpl (before 2.5k..after that I've not gone for a long ride)
Power : Same or even better than the Duke 250.
Braking : Definitely the best in this segment, just get a ride on it and u can feel the bite.
Vibration : Yes, if u undershift and overshift
Heating : becomes iron box 🥵 in dead traffic, but will get used to it easily.
Torque : it's a high revving engine...can feel the power above 4k rpm
Suspension : Totally agree with what's mentioned in the video, very stiff, it's adjustable to an extent.
Handling : Just like a street bike
I'm 6.2ft tall. I always wanted to own a duke 250. But since when I ride the bike, it looks like I'm sitting on a really small bike and it's adv model is very bulky as well as lacks power, I had no other option for all these years. And I am a big fan of street bikes too.
And finally I got the Yezdi scrambler!!!
    What is a scrambler?
Ans : A powerful street bike with minimal off roading capabilities.
No need to mention powerful when addressing a street bike, but since a lot of people are still confused what a scrambler is I had to.
    So here's the conclusion
    Scram 411 :
    1. Not a powerful street bike (tou cannot find a duke with great low end Torque, can you? And it's a fact that duke is street bike!!!)
    2. Got off roading capabilities.
    Scrambler:
    1. Powerful street bike
    2. Minimal off roading capabilities
You can decide which one is a scrambler.
    Cheers!!!

With this engine, Royal Enfield's problem is that it's done. This almost the peak it can reach, and any improvements will always be incremental. Compared to that, the engine Yezdi uses has a lot to improve on, which means in a year or two, Yezdi can imporve it a lot. But.... if RE releases the new Himalyan 450 even next year, YEzdi will be completely blown away, since their biggest winning point is that the bike is more powerful and looks better.
From the patent, the new RE will be around 10 bhp more powerful and at least just a s good looking. Yezdi made the mistake of benchmarking a bike that is already on it's way out.

Test ride both today in addition to the yezdi adventurer....so, completely based on my bias - scrambler sounded better but wasnt as agile as the scram (riding Goan streets)...the engine on the scrambler felt like it was taking me along faster, but i wonder if that's enough cause it also felt hard to throw about...further, the suspension was a disappointment...the average Goan city road has bumps...and I felt each and every one...the scrambler atleast gave me the agility to avoid them but if I did hit them it felt better as well ...the damn foot pegs on the scrambler annoyed me every time i had to walk the bike cause it kept getting in the way...but that said, no doubt which one I would choose based on looks...I am not a fan of the scram Himalayan adventurer look...and yet i know the scram would give me significantly less headaches over extended use...also RE simply has better service networks...at this point, i wouldnt but either unfortunately...i would like to have Neo retro bike in the 350 range at or about the 2.5 lakh range...maybe the hunter?

@@pinoyobserver1190 I had a Continental GT650 in the UK. If I could have found out how much import duty I was likely to be charged, I might have imported it. But all I was told, was that duty could be up to 65% of whatever value Philippine customs decided. Since I'd changed to a 2 in 1 exhaust, custom fairing, S&S cam and high compression pistons, Stratos performance air filter, and a power commander to sort out the fuelling. I was sad to part with it. But I just had no idea what sort of customs bill I was going to be hit with. Are you sure you are not looking at the Vitpilen price. That, according to the latest prices I can find online, was 315,000 on July 11th. Seems unlikely that the Svartpilen has had a price increase of 30,000 pesos all in one jump.

Could you guys make a comprehensive video of the Best ‘Build Quality’ bike of every segment - Cruiser, Racer, Scrambler, Tourer, under 2 lakh, under 3 lakh (I’ll let you decide the classification) etc. etc.
Criteria being - best fit and finish, most consistent paint job, ride quality, consistency in other aspects.
    Thanks Again.

To elaborate further, I’m not talking about which suspension is harder, which is softer, which produces more power, which less, because every company and every provider has their pwn interpretation of these specs. I just want to know which is the most consistently best fitted and professionally assembled, solidly made, least maintenance required performance vehicles of their segments. The literal benchmarks of quality workmanship of their segments. The best quality that money can buy in that price and segment, etc. I hope you’re getting my thoughts.
