  • Hello.
    CK, DD, TMK and I took 4 different entry segment adventure motorcycles, the Xpulse 200, the Scram 411, the KTM 250 Adventure and the BMW G310GS out for an overnight weekend ride. And we each share our thoughts on which would be our choice.
    Cheers!

    Xpulse is a jack of all trades.
    Especially for those who don't do too much highway riding.
    I have one.
    It can cruise at 85kmph all day.
    It is great when roads go bad, like in India.
    It's easy on the pocket.
    It's very easy to drive in the city.
    It does not overheat.
    A few mods like risers, seat, rack and you have a motorcycle that can do it all even better.

    • @bigbearbangalore
      @bigbearbangalore  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi! Considering the fact that you have been riding a light and nimble motorcycle for so long, if budget permits go for the 250Adv. Although the Xp 4V is also a super value option. Note, if you are going to ride doubles often then the 250Adv or the Scram is the choice. The Xp does not perform well with 2 up riding.
      The best way is to first take a test ride of the Scram so that you’ll get a feel for it’s higher weight. And then you may take a call. Cheers!

    Out of 10, how would you rate both in city, highway, off-road and overall usability?

    • @bigbearbangalore
      @bigbearbangalore  Před 2 lety +8

      Hi!
      In city the Xpulse is super fun to ride be it tight traffic or broken roads. On the highway the 250 is definitely far superior. And on dirt if the rider is skilled they can have fun on the 250 as well. But when the dirt gets tricky the Xpulse is the bike to be on.
      If open highway touring is not what you do much, the the Xpulse is a good all round choice. Plus you’ll have a lot of cash to spare to buy other stuff like riding gears, gadgets and accessories plus money for travel. 😊
      However, if you like to tour mostly on highways at faster speeds and also do some commuting, then the 250 is the correct choice.

    • @bigbearbangalore
      @bigbearbangalore  Před 2 lety

      Does not help. Its a messy affair and creates much complications in patching the tube plus the mass of the sealant causes a rotational imbalance. Not recommended.

    • @bigbearbangalore
      @bigbearbangalore  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi! The 4V is a more refined version in terms of engine noise and combustion clatter and high rpm vibes. Performance wise it’s the same as the 2V.
      It’s actually a tough call between the Xp and the Scram. As different as they are I understand your predicament.
      If you like to tour & travel mostly on smaller and lesser known roads and you tour solo, then the Xp would be the better option.
      However, if bigger highways, long riding days and two up riding form a large part of your touring, then the Scram is the way to go. Cheers!
