    I am so glad I found your channel! My family and I just started internationally travelling (from the states)this year with our first trip to Scotland in October. My son was 11 months old and my daughter is 8. We are going to Italy this summer (trying to move towards fulltime travel), and he'll be 19 months old. Its so hard to find a fellow travel vlogger that understand the struggle for parents with young kids! The jet lag was much worse than I had anticipated and even WORSE on our way back! It took my younger one about 3 weeks to adjust to time back home (5 hours time diff). .. I think its just a learning process for us as parents, to find out what works best for our baby's schedule and our lifestyle. Like you, we've adjusted to the pace-change of having a baby by simply staying a little longer in each location!Thanks for sharing!! Instant subscribe!

    Thanks so much. This will be a useful video to refer my son & daughter in law to if/when they think of traveling... Their little girl is just a month younger than Max, so it's all very appropriate. Please do take your time figuring out how to stay local and shift gears a bit - please tell us Americans more about your beautiful Denmark! Little normal daily Danish things, while maybe nothing to you, are wonderful, new & interesting to us. I do look forward to the coming videos of more Christmas markets!

      You are getting your wish finaly ha ha.. we are planing to stay in Denmark most of 2018 and show the country off to you guys. Like you said some of the things that you guys might be interested in might seem like nothing to me.. it's kind of hard for me to know what topics to choose.. it's like I'm to close to them so if you have more specific topics I would love to hear them:) Have a great "almost-chistmas-week":) Hugs Maria

      Thanks, Maria. That will be great. Believe it or not, even a video about normal grocery shopping in Denmark, normal transportation or city life, what weekend activity is like, etc. - things like that would be great. You have no idea how exotic and exciting old Denmark can look to someone who's never been there - especially if one has family that left there 100-150 years ago... It's so mysterious & charming to look at all the faces of folks around you, and see people who seem so similar to some of my relatives...!
      God bless and Merry Christmas!

    Yes! I agree with most of what you have said. It is hard to follow the child(ren)'s needs and schedule, but it does pay off in the long run. I have two kids that are 8 and 11 years old. We have never lived near family and started traveling by car and plane very early on, but only in the US so the time change was never more than 3 hours difference. When my kids were 4 and 7 years old we went to Europe for the first time (Italy, Austria, and Switzerland). It was a blast, but very difficult with schedules, jet lag, kids who didn't totally understand how traveling that distance and internationally works. etc.
    I now live in New Zealand and traveled to New York last October. It was 35 hours of travel and an 8 hour time difference. It was hard and exhausting, but not too much more than if I was traveling on my own. With four years of international traveling experience, my kids know how to pack a minimal kids wardrobe for multiple week trips in only a backpack (I still help them make the packing list and help the 8 year old double check the list), what to expect with customs and border control, how to entertain themselves on 16 hour flights, how to start switching their schedule from the moment we start traveling by sleeping and eating on the destination's time, how to order and eat in flight meals and snacks, and how to go to the restroom by themselves (even while parents are sleeping :-D).
    I've really enjoyed your camper videos. We had a small one when we lived in the US, but had to sell it before we moved. I hope we can get in the next year or so.

      I really want Max to become a little travel-pro too and he will in time:) It will be fun to see him interacting with things in a more extensive way as he gets older:)

    I have admired you for traveling with Max since he was pretty much a newborn. In fact, I was wondering how he handled the trip over here to Florida. I have heard that travel becomes much easier when your child no longer requires strollers and car seats. Your decorations are beautiful. How does Max react to them?

    • @Onegirlonesuitcase
      @Onegirlonesuitcase  Před 6 lety +1

      He loves them and actually hasn't taken them off yet:) I heard that too.. new borns are easier but from when they walk to around 3 is most challenging so we just haev to find another way the next 1-1,5 year and we will:)

    • @Onegirlonesuitcase
      @Onegirlonesuitcase  Před 6 lety

      no gluten, no milk, no sugar.. which includes no fruit, as little grain as possible so a lot of veggies, oils, paleo snack type breads, veggie smothies, berries, no peas like beans and chickpeas, no potato or tomato, a lot of broth.. roughly;)

    2 Summers ago when we had a young baby we messed up and didn't bring enough powder formula and had to buy the local brand and Natalie was MAD at us! Also the heat too so she was supper fussy which is not her usual way. So we always made sure going forward til she was 1 year to have enough :/

    Were you traveling while pregnant? Did you take an international flights when you were pregnant with Max?

      The first 4 moths I was too sick to go anywhere, then we went to The Netherlands and a trip to Germany when I was 5 and 7 moths along(we just drove there, no flights) and after that we stayed local. To me traveling after those 7 months was not enjoyable but every pregnency is different:)

    Does a baby experience jetlag?

      Of course they can. After all babies are also human. But babies like people are different.
