- I have found a few ways to make my rifles blind in when hunting. Some would say never paint a rifle but in years of hunting both before and after i would tell you it will help. coyotes and deer will pick up on a black rifle in the sands of west tx to the hills of wv. with more and more company making there guns all black is when i first started to notice that i was being seen. so i used the same colors as the multi cam that the US Army has been using it blinds in to everything i have tried. sag green olive green dark earth brown and sand.

I've watched at least 10 different videos on painting rifles....this is hands down the best one I've seen. Thanks brother.
Bingo!
I was going to say the same thing. This looks amazing.
100% agreed. I'm doing this to my rifle as soon as I can get my hands on some paint in the right colours I want
Looks great, I to have watch a lot of these and I agree , this is the best one I've seen. Come on warm weather. 👍 I do like the camo netting trick also.
Totally agreed. Best results I’ve seen of any videos here. Nice job!!
"That I made for the kids"....that's a damn good father right there.
Good dad
My dad never gave me a single firearm until I inherited his rifle when he died.
One of the better camo jobs I’ve seen and I’ve been watching a bunch of them trying to work up the nerve to do one of mine. Your method it is! Thanks for the info. Good job sir.
Max McCain I agree with you on this paint job. One over the best I have seen to.
you probably dont give a damn but does anybody know of a method to log back into an instagram account??
I was stupid forgot my account password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Colby Imran Instablaster =)
@Davian Brayan i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Davian Brayan it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much, you really help me out!
Followed the paint order, and used burlap I bought at Lowe’s. Came out great, but I did go back over with the army green, and forest green in a few random spots on each side and it came out amazing. Thank you for the inspiration
Burlap look is definitely better than other AR spray jobs I've seen.
Thanks for the VIDEO , by far the best job I've seen. Was hesitant about painting my HK 91 mainly because I didn't like the way or method used. From Sea sponges to digital camo stickers and more kept me from doing it. 5 Star job, you totally killed the competition. Bravo
Just sprayed my benelli and damn I didn’t think I was gonna do so well but holy smokes... it’s gorgeous...awesome tutorial man... hats off to you 🥳🥳
I really like the way that looks. I’ve been watching just about every video on CZcams about how to spray your AR. I like this one the best.
Recently painted my airsoft replic by your tutorial. best results ever seen. thanks for your idea and video!!
Best DIY AR paint job I've seen so far!
Probably the best paint job I’ve seen yet. Nice work.
I just finished my AR15 following your video, its the first time I have ever painted any firearm. It came out great. Thanks man...
Yeah you can do anything shotgun for turkey and Long guns for deer and coyote and anything else you like I'm glad it worked out for you
That came out REALLY nice and blends into your environment really good.
Awesome Job! Came out beautiful! Very impressed! Your an artist! Excellent description and visuals.
Hands down best camp tutorial I’ve seen yet and I’ve watched sooo many cause I’m trying to paint my benelli super black for this years dove and turkey season 🥳 maybe spray my ar10 the same way too 🤩
Very nice, I got my paint bought so I'll try it this weekend. Great video thanks for sharing.
I recently got my first AR and am definitely doing this awesome video thanks man good work
I have watched a lot of these, and you did a great job buddy! Thanks for posting!
America The Free I started duracoating my guns it doesn't wear and is cheap and easy I need to do a video on it they turn out great but for quick and fast this works
One of the best looking ones I’ve watched 👍
Bro tha best paint job ever Awesome Respect!
Nice job. I like the results. 👍
I like it. Maybe I have already have commented But it's worth a second look.Great Job.
That’s the exact camo that I’ve been wanting since I live out on the desert. I will give it a try
This is by far my favorite way that I have seen during my CZcams research. Stellar Job!
Looking good. Great technique too.
Best "hand painted" camo job I've seen. Highly dislike those guns that use the laundry bag pattern, as it's painfully man made looking, though I realize it functions just fine. Your burlap is just enough "pattern" to look cool, but random enough to look natural. I dig this a lot.
This is the best one I have seen good job.
Love this paint job
Best paint job I've seen. going to do this to mine
Tod Seaton it's so easy and if you clear coat it it last a long time
Blake Yes, clear coat is like a thick clear coating that covers the paint and protects it. Like a screen protector on a screen
I painted mine like this yesterday and it came out nice first one I ever painted using burlap👍
I used this video to help me paint my sons shotgun. We did it together and it turned out amazing. RIght before the last step I had concerns. But once we did the burlap i was blown away. There is nothing about it now that say Krylon. Thank you.
I did the boys 20ga maverick 88 for duck and turkey hunting
This is the beauty of building your own AR out of parts over buying a prebuilt factory rifle. You can have a dedicated custom one(or more) for special purposes with things done to it that you wouldn't do to your others. Hunters and Special Ops have done camo on weapons and gear this way for many decades. It's fairly easy to change your mind and either remove completely, alter, or touch up too. This is also a cost effective method you can do for not much money and few tools/supplies are needed to get a great job. This one turned out awesome and actually looks better than many of the pros so called "better" jobs done with Cerakote and Duracoat. It doesn't leave a 2-part gooey mess and high stacking tolerances either.
Damn..great straight to the point video👍👍
Looks really good .. amazing job.
Looks amazing! My system is similar. The only thing I have added is Rust Oleum ‘Self etching primer’ for a base coat. After that, the rest is on there for good. I usually do 2or 3 base coats. Charlie Mike!
i would not have the balls to even attempt that. Bloody awesome result
Thanks I do a lot of my guns in duracoat now they turn out good but it last forever this little rifle has dropped lots of deer hunting with the kiddos
Nicely done. True art.
Wow I’m def gonna try this on my police 870 trade in. That came out amazing
Very cool idea to do to a ar15 to camo it out .
nice look I did my Ar15 about 6 years ago and still looks good I did put a clear coat on it though
Amazing job. It's incredible.
It breaks up pretty well.
I can't stand to have a all black gun anymore it just stands out to much for me when I'm in the field
@@hunttomuchwolfe
Another way to break up shadows and shapes on top of the camo is a ghillie wrap, one of the easier methods of this is putting vegetation into rubber bands you out onto the gun, or using and elastic band or shoe laces and typing burlap, jute, and other things onto it, then wrapping it to your gun to make further measurement to see if it fits.
best paint job good lord
looks freat -- really turned out nice. thanks for a good vid
So many guys use darker colors and from a distance the gun looks almost black again. Yours looks like its actually camo. Good job and good hunting.
awesome work thanks for posting!!
glad to see you were wearing gloves
That looks amazing!!! Best I’ve seen!!!!
Now to find some old burlap 🤔
Looks fantastic
My American tactical has same scope,mount etc..looks great brother.rattle cans rule"seasons change😎"
I duracoated most of them now you can't beat how easy and durable it is for cheap works well on are duck shotgun
This looks awesome! Definitely taking notes for when I do my first build ☺️ going for a stealth 300 blackout build for hog hunting
Looks good!
mate if you drop that you're not finding it again lol
Sweet Rand I did one in duracoat and it's even better than this one
@@hunttomuchwolfe so do you suggest dura coat vs the rattle can paint?
@@joelblankenship972 yes it last longer and you cand do just about anything it will just take more time to do and your prep is key to a good outcome
I admit I had my doubts but it came out looking pretty cool.
spoonman73 it's easier than you think to get it to look good
That looks really good!
I'm wanting to paint mine, but I'm hesitant because it cost (me) a lot.
Expensive can be a relative term.
Looks amazing! Do mine! Do mine! Thanks for making the video and sharing your skill, much appreciated.
Best job I've seen
I like would look great in western oklahoma I will be trying it soon on my ar-10 .308
Hell yes!! Awsome brother!!
This is excellent. I agree, a solid black rifle stands out too much in any natural environment.
I'm going to use your method for Airsoft :)
Looks great man
This is one of my favorite camo jobs I have seen. I’ve done the mesh bag thing but I like this a lot more. I have some burlap bags but when I cut them I cut all of the edges so now it’s fraying pretty bad. How did you do it? I was thinking of cutting one side of a bag off or giving it a light spray before painting the rifle with it. I don’t want to end up with crap in the paint after all of that.
The object of camouflage is to deceive the quarry. Whether human or otherwise. Hardlines and heavily contrasted colors are a no go. Subtle uses of colors to hide shadows and soft variations in patterns work best. Think out of focus patterns in colors that mimic surroundings and you are there. Damn good job on the use of burlap. I have used pine needle clusters, sprayed them with paint then use them In a fly swatter manner. Makes a great out of focus pattern.
Good job.
Well done
looks great man.
Man that came out badass great looking gun and a great paint job I am actually trying your technique with my 30.06 savage idk how its gana come but it's my first time doing it You inspired me to camel my gun I can't to see the end results wish me luck lol
Hey I actually also want to try this on my .30-06 Savage. How did yours come out?
Very cool. Thanks!!!
Well done video.
So did you add the different layers of paint without removing the wrap to see how the paint looked? I can't tell from your video if you removed the burlap to see what you had after each layer or not. Best looking camo job I've seen.
"6.5 Grendel that I built for the kids for a hunting rifle"... My first rifle was a surplus Lee Enfield 303 that could not even take a scope. The camo looks great thought
I have a few 303 and love them but yeah a bit much for a little girl I myself had a 340 savage 3030 with open sights and still have that rifle dropped my first buck with it
Looks unreal buddy
This looks sick! Might do it to my m4A1 gel blaster! 😅 but mybe slightly darker greens, coz we have topical plants over here in Australia. But awsome job well done bud. Love it
@Blake Real guns and airsoft guns are illeagal in Australia
Very nice Job
Very nice.
Great job
OUTSTANDING
Дякую! Дуже гарно!
Sweet paint job bruh...Gonna do my AK this weekend!
Looks great
Good info, looks awesome. That thing would disappear in my desert. Definitely add the clearcoat it will make or break the paint job
cool look....used a mesh laundry bag to pattern me but the burlap is even better
Cypress also works.
That's beautiful
Beautiful 😍
It's very easy give it a try
Superb!!
Nice job
Very impressive!
im going to do some videos up of duracoat its easy and ill show you how to turn your gun into art and its not going to wear off
Looks good .
Love it
Did you use an adhesion promoter? Why did you choose RustOleum brand? I am going to paint my carbine, but don't know whether to use RustOleum paint or Krylon.
Well done sir. Finished product looks awesome! I have been curious about using the carb cleaner initially. It appears it worked pretty well for you. Would you still recommend using the carb cleaner or have you found something that works better?
Some people use break cleaner it is used to clean off the oil on the metal
Amazing job. Can you still adjust the stock+CH without peeling? I know some spray paint is like latex house paint+can peel...ruining a great paint job. Also, if you ever changed scopes, will the paint around the screws start peeling?
I was thinking if you removed the scope+mount, and placed them an inch above(and separate) from the rail, it would maybe prevent future peeling if removed. Thanks for showing how it's done!
It will wear because its spray paint if you wait a week after you paint it will last a lot longer. If you want it to last no mater what you do to it use duracoating
Very good
Where would I find worn burlap like this?
Online all the burlap is tighter weave. Can I stretch out the burlap to get bigger gaps?
Great job! Thanks for sharing. Could you tell what's the exact color you use?
Huidong Wang od sand earth brown and light green
That's bad ass brother
Hey, just a word about color, deers dont see color, which is why you can wear orange, they see UV, which is why you never wash you camo with "brightening detergent" they will see you like neon poster from a half mile away literally. But a shiny black gun they certainly could see, anything that is mat finish and breaks up the pattern is helpful
Awesome
My favorite camo and probably the best (I believe ) is ATACS
He made a better Atacs than people trying to make atacs (before the very last dark snake skin stuff). Maybe atacs can be done the same way but with tighter netting (smaller holes) so it doesnt make the snake skin patterns.
look nice
