brushed motor wont last long time, but like the simple build! If you want it to work, keep it simple, great engineer once said. water seal on motor shaft holding up well? computer fan blowing positive pressure into the pvc pipe may keep the water out?

Do you know what motor he used and where I could get one a bit larger like it?
I'm gonna try to make this for a rowboat. I would like to get some good speed as well and any suggestions on motor size would be a huge help. I want to get good speed maybe 9-10 nots if possible. I don't know how to find the propeller either. Is this design going to last? what should I be watching to keep it in top condition?
Any information would be much appreciated!! (:

Actual pvc glue holds better than simple weather strip adhesive. BUT the problem using pvc glue is this--- what happens if you're out and need to make repairs? With weather strip adhesive you can pull it apart.

That’s very creative on a budget type of rig. What size is that dc motor by the way? After this video I did look up on dc motors and I see they have other motors that are much more powerful in terms of torque and rpm. You should upgrade your version by putting quad motors not just that but a more powerful motor with a custom made 5 blade aluminum propeller. Have it into the water 6 to 8 inches down in the water. Swap the battery out to 24v. If u want to be more creative use solar charge and see if you can get that inflable to plane over 15miles per hour all electric. Super light and powerful.

What's with the coke pinky? If you use threaded fittings you could do repairs/replacements wihtout having to rebuild the whole thing.

Good work ! But very slow. Maybe it's
