This is one of those episodes that really emphasizes the "brother-sister" dynamic that Sheldon & Penny have always had. This is also one of those times when Penny shows how much she loves that crazy "brother" of hers, who lives across the hall.
the best for me was when she used her car, gas, time, loaded all the freaks in, drove across town. then knocked on a strangers door and when a guy 4 times her size answers demands thier stuff back. then kicks him in the nuts to get imaginary items back.
"You're one of my favorite people" kind of overshadows a really important dialogue that i think hts harder. "Everyone knows you're weird, but they are still here because they care about you so much...". I think everyone that's either into geek culture or just someone that's been misjudged and mistreated, needs to hear that at least once in their lives

Everyone is talking about the Sheldon/ Penny relationship, but every time I see this video, I love the subtle nod to anxiety attack victims. Sheldon unlocks the door but never opens it and actually walks away. It's a way of saying 'we'll let you help, but you gotta do it our way'. We'll give you a way in, but you cannot expect us to open that door and let you in. You have to meet half way.
She was the big sister Sheldon always needed. I loved missy as the twin who messed with him but he needed a big sister to get him and help him. They were great on the show well written great big sis lil bro type relationship.
Penny is the best when it comes to Sheldon. In the early seasons you see her be kind to him except in times where it’s completely ridiculous what’s he’s doing (being rude or controlling for the sake of it). As the show progresses and he grows (in large part because of her and Amy) we see her being very kind and understanding in moments like this where it’s understandable for him to be overwhelmed.
When she said "that's fine." I cried. As someone with anxiety and who struggles socially this is all I ever really need to hear. Someone who accepts you and understands and will be there with you. Someone who gets it.

I contend that The Big Bang Theory is about love. Friends are the family you choose. The friendships of the characters in TBBT were forged through good and bad times. Just like real life friendships. These people hurt each other, forgave each other, supported and tolerated each other's quirks and flaws. Through thick and thin, they were there for one another. Even when they were angry with each other, there was love. They grew together. This scene perfectly illustrates this.
There's a well known phrase, blood is thicker than water, family takes precedent. However the original phrase was "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.", relationships you choose are more important than ones forced upon you.
For some reason, that green dress and gold ballet flats clothing combo is my favorite outfit that Penny wore throughout the entire series. It is so simple and yet looks so sexy on her. 👗💚🥿💛👏👏👏
It was a total crime that Penny ended up with Leonard instead of Sheldon. Amy should have ended up with Leonard and Penny should have ended up with Sheldon. Those two couplings would have been so much more realistic and more interesting. Change my mind.
OK, I don’t know where the hell this idea came from, but Leonard and Penny were destined to be together from the beginning, an opposites attract story come alive. Sheldon and Penny do have a good bond, but that took several seasons to develop on its own,mainly because of Sheldon and his many neuroses. They had to write someone in for him to keep Leonard and Penny together and to make him finally grow up to be a man and not a child. Amy was a good choice because not only is she literally the female version of him,she knows how to handle him a lot better than Penny ever could and had the full support of his mother, which is very valuable since she is Sheldon’s kryptonite.
I would have liked Leonard to end up with Alex or Alice. Penny to end up with Sheldons brother and Raj to end up with Missy. And Leonard's Dad and Sheldons mum to end up together so that most of TBBT characters would be family.
